Guys ,i watched a video in indiafm today.the topic was sajid - ashutosh fight at screen awards.Here Farah kahn ,Sajid khan combo who hosts the annual screen awards makes fun of ashutosh gowariker saying that,ashutosh did not call rahman for the awards because he knew that rahman would get all the awards.He wanted to collect everything himself. An angry ashutosh reacts strongly on the stage and asks Sajid to shut up. Personally i feel that sajid well deserved this.There is a clear line of difference btw mocking people and pulling their leg.

Oh..my god finally Rahman sir did it.Earlier when lukka chuuppi and water gt nominated i was very thrilled..howver this time i didn xpect him to win, so was not tht thrilled...now i am running with emotions.My day started with my mother calling me up and sayingur rahman has got some big award..i jumped offmy bed...really beautifull day i had.Was happy throughout..I am proud to be a rahman fan and a indian.Congrats rahmanjiGods prayers be with you always.. Very bad of indiafm.They totally sidelined this matter.I think they have something against him,this is not the first time that they are doing this.Anyway their loss.

Today the results for the golden globe will come out,hopefully rahman sir will win.Slum dog millionaire,this movie,never never in my wildest dreams did i think tht this movie would become as big as it is now.In fact i was very very dissapointed with arr for rejecting ashtosh's movie and selecting Slum dog.Bcoz as far as i thought lagaan ,swades and jodha were pearls...their combo was the ultimate...why for hell did he have to sacrifice this combination...and go for this low budget english film.I seriously thought arr lost it.But as usuall,arr wins.He actually inspired me.He taught me this wonderfull lesson that ,sometimes in life u have sacrifice really bIg things to achieve much bigger ones.thankyou sir and all the best.

Guys ,all those of you who've seen ghajini ,could u pls tell me how was the general audience reation was towards the movie.Me being out of india have no idea.The group of friends i went with were very biased towards the tamil version.I know tht the movie is a hit,but that can be an aftereffect of brilliant marketing.I would like to know if the ppl were happy with the movie ,particularly the songs ,bgm ,asins perfomance (when the tamil version released she became an overnight superstar) etc ..I've heard tht there were many claps whn the mandolin guzarish tune was played.thanks in advance

I saw the dilli 6 song trailor.As my friend earlier wrote,me too in my wildest of wildest dreams never thought tht the song would progress this way.Amazing and really out of the box thinking.Initially(first trailor) when i hrd the humming and the tune proceeding it..i thought it must be the theme music.I was xpecting a slow kinda music with instruments.Voila ...no words to xplain my amazement wh i heard the song.Really inspires me how this great man ,keeps on reinventing himself.Going by the little part i've heard ..i think even Prasoon joshi has done a good job.Could anyone pls xplain the lyrics
My thoughts on Rahman sirs ghajini bgm[arr]
Guys i saw Ghajini.The movie was nice.Good that they trimmed the end portion.Liked it.I had seen the tamil version many times.I was byheart with all the scenes and the bgs included in those scenes.i really admired hj 's work in the movie. Naturally when i saw the hindi version yday ...i was subconciously xpecting hjs version in the movie.subconsiously.mAY B Bcoz i saw the movie a 100 times.The scenes in tamil where there are beautifull tunes like 1.the scene where she gives the comb and asks to act 2.Asks him his opinion on hs underwearflux hoarding...etc 3.suryas intro had no music in the hindi version..so thru out the movie i was a bit not comfortable. But later when i watched the movie once again , i could truly appreciate rahman sirs gems.I believe all those people who've seen the tamil version more thn 3 times would feel a bit jerky while watching the hindi version for the first time,but after that u'l like it very much on the second watch.Truly rahman sir had an entirely HIS version and HIS perspectives to this movie.After watching Ghajini hindi 3 times i can proudly say...Rahman sir has done really amzing work with the bg.And the audience who havent seen the tamil version first, are the really lucky people who can enjoy the movie sans nay jerk.Cant wait anymore for Dilli 6.Best of luck Rahman sir

Guys i went thru all your comments.The initial reactions ara slightly -ve,which i feel is bcoz of a new genre tried.I always knew western classical wudnt be a bang on first hearing.I liked all the songs very very much.Dil ka rishta is mind blowing...Zindagi and tu muskara are all gems.This will be a classic ..and i am sure 100% that all of u will like this in repeated hearing..pakka..it happens always with rahman.In fact i was thinking recently,jtyjn and sakkarkatti were albums were the songs were instantly liked. Yuvraaj songs are going to stay for a lifetime.Classic,period. Rahman sir thanks alot,njoy guys

Guys this is just an observation.Has any one of you seen Bhoothnath,There in most of the parts in the first part of the movie (before interval)..the bg which is being played is the ekamevitheeyam theme from baba.This particular theme is played whenever the spookiness surrounding bhoothnath and his bunglow is to be highlighted.The bg was by salim sulaiman(or vishal; shekhar not quite sure). the ekamevadhitheeyam theme is actually inspired from the ennio morricone score from the movie the untouchables(itwofs).i clearly state that i am not saying rahmans vesion is a copy of the original.Rahmans version is just mildly inspired which is clear on hearing.The theme played in the movie(bhoothnath) is more resembling to rahmans baba version.anybody whos seen the movie pls comment.

Hai guys,Hope u ppl doing fine.Very happy with the success of Jtyjn.It truly reminded ppl that rahman sir is as youthfull as ever.This post is regarding Yodha.I have seen many posts claiming it as an underrated film.The fim was originally a malayalam film.In kerala ,the soundtrack of this movie is considerd a classic...actually an all time classic.I simply mean those words.Just as ppl would sayilayanila pozhikindrate of ilayrajas or kya hua tera wada of rafi sir,so is padakali chankiof a r rahmans sirs from yodha a classic (in kerala).Every malayali allover the world loves this song.the song potrays rivalary among two friends.This is also rahmans most fun fulled song.The movie was also a big hit in kerala.From the other songs Kunnu kunne is also dam,n famous.Actually observing this song(kunnu kunne) we can c the clear rahman touch.The rahman style of music (now prominently used by harris jayaraj et all is very evident in this particula song.It was in its starting stages then).It has a strong arabic feel to it. This film being malayalam might have went unnoticed in tamil and hindi and The dubbed version was very vulgar to.But in kerala this is an all time classic soundtrack. regards .tc (not sure if anybody else had clarified this before)

GUys hai..hope u ppl doin fine.In the comin months Hai guys .I'd like to highlight some of the ups of harris jayarajs version of ghajini.He did a beautifull job in the tamil version(no fights pls).Particularly the b.g's.Some imp moments in the muv frm the music perspective- 1.In the opening scene(surya intro)..a particual bit of music comesit goes like this-VVOHEO gHAJINI VOHEO GHAJINI..a This is a very beautifull piece of music.It actually is very very situational.It puts the mood of the movie.Very enigmatic and very creepy Eagerly expectin how arr's version will turn out to be. 2.The sutrum vizhi beats and a particular portion of the song on the sitar.Again very catchy 3,Revenge theme-in the lines of anniyan...beautifull. 4.Proposal theme-very romantic. In a very healthy and positve way..i'm eagerly awaitin arr's version.This is my most awaited muv.I'd like if ghajini has a theme music(like daud or bombay had) Bye bye guys

I was thinking of putting a title that'l attract allf ur attention..thought this was the best(may b the other person thought f the same thing).God..wht'l discussion in this group 4 last 4-5 days.Rahman lifted munbai vaa froma sample,50% f rahman songs are lifted(this was the most stupid),airtel song lifted from ilayraja song...enough. ppl...pls do understand...what actually is this so called lifting.munbai vaaso called lift is a pakka (100%) case of inspiration.I mean thts so obvious...its jus 4-5 seconds of a sample tht inspired him to do a 5 minuts beauty...same for the so cald airtel lift(actually i didn feel anythin similar on the first 2- 3 hearings..the the person had written the lines ..tht he felt similar to the airtel tune).some songs which r in the same raagam...do sound similar.Best xample 4 this wud be ilayrajas pachamalar koodu song and the enthu paranjalum (malayalam) song.Pritam compositions would be a perfect xample of lifting rahman never lifted any song...yes he might have usd samples and loops...in that case Lifting is not the term to be used. pls do put a stop to this stupid topic. congratulations to rahman sir...4 the filmfare award.

Guys..i never meant to bring a pessimistic shade..pre-release of the album.What i wanted to say was...Lets go back to Boys.The album ,though the movie was a dud..did wonders.It was a phenomenon.That time ..it was boys all ovr.Be it any t.v prog(evn in malay,telegu),dance show,duets,it was boys phenmenon.Aftr tht suddnly vrythin changd.in tamil and in hindi.tehzeeb,subas chand,mangl pandey etc are examples.I am not saying it is because it had bad songs..it had excellent songs.I had sky high hopes for aazadi from sub.chn.bose to be the next vande mat..coz it was simply beautifull..sadly nobody 's hrd of it coz the movie flopd.After that 4 vry movie somthing or the othr went rong.For anbe arr uyire which had rocking songs frm rahman sir ..did not do as xpected.Again remembr ..we blamed s.j.suryah.(which i think was correct).For mangl -the movie,jillunu-bad picturisation. People ..i recently saw a documentry..its called the Inner and outer world of Shah rukh khan.IT WAS RELEASED IN 2004 BY FAMOUS documntry film maker Munni.It covers shahrukhs personal as well as public life..his stage shows..his transformations from the person he is ..to the actor he is..and then the star.It was kind of really fantastic.i was kinda thinkin why not something like this abt arr.You know 40 days with arr.covering his life as it is now..his stage shows ..alll the backstage fun..his ideas opinions..etc.those who have seen this shahruks documntry will understand more, what i'm saying .Contacting Munni wont be that hard.COZ she has her site.infact shahrukh says in the documntry .. tht a documntry like this shud be made of ppl like ..rahman,gulzaar ssab.I thonk it'' be really cool.wht do you think..if vrybdy is ready we'l surely do somethin..regards jithin
