It was more stylish, there were some subtle improvements ( editing and styling) and soem not so subtle improvements ( climax, Background music). I loved it! You will like the songs more and more and you will have a 2nd level of listening once you watch the movie. Especially the Sonu nigham humming and kaise mujhe are really romantic. This is what we missed with the bombing of Yuvraj. if the movie was good , we could have had a 2nd level of listening and the music would have been huge hit if only ghai could put the musical into the movie.. Re: [arr] Boss should not have done Ghajini
I think the issue is predictability. if you have watched tamil( that too 2-3 times) beforehand. movie is somuch predictable(as the movie is a scence by scene remake ( almost).) and kills some fun. I was sure this will happen with Hindi ghajini . I had got Tamil Ghajini DVD one month back as my wife had not seen the movie . But i wanted to do this experiment with her. i insisted her to watch HIndi ghajini first and agreed to watch tamil ghajini second . (we watched kakka kakka once again that day instead ). Now she watched Hindi first on thursday (and liked it very much) and we watched tamil yesterday . and she says she likes the hindi version far far better than tamil. Has anybody here done this "Ulta" way ? it would be interesting to know. I like lots of HJ compositions , but hindi ghajini music has got more repete value than tamil .hindi ghajini is HINDI. if they did the same tamil songs in hindi , i am sure it would have met the same fate of minnale.ARR had the right audience in his mind while making the hindi ghajini i would say.and thats why he is international now!! and most of the good regional music directors are still regional. Just a share of my experince. -Jamshid --- On Mon, 12/29/08, Vithur wrote: From: Vithur Subject: Re: [arr] Boss should not have done Ghajini To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Date: Monday, December 29, 2008, 8:11 AM This may be because of people who get influenced by the Tamil Movie and the Music... [arr] Boss should not have done Ghajini
Dont get angry with the subject line. I thought of writing this only because of the comments made by some people, It is painful . Ghajini Hindi version is a real classic compared to Tamil version. Although Tamil version has the mass appeal but still it is nowhere near Hindi Version. But people say that Tamil Version had good songs and Hindi is not impressive. We can say that this is not their cup of tea, but these comments hurts. Had these songs been in any other movie it would have been called class. I had a thought for sometime that Boss should not have done Ghajini. But still our Boss Rocks No other MD can even think of a song like Behka and Kaise Mujhe. When someone give bad comments I ask them to listen to Kaise Mujhe song..
