[arr] My experience on BLUE
Hi, After 10 listens, with clear audio system and in head phones, I dont want to actually rate on the actual album. But some of my obervations are: 1) all the songs are technically audio-wise engineered to a great extent as never before done effect 2) so much of soundscaping is there on every song. Particularly On fiqrana and aj dil way too many instruments are sounds crossing each other that I cant even keep track of the layers. 3)ARR made a very consious effort to sound very very international. The operas' the hummings / effects. everything. 4) I think its very hard to notice all the layers just in speakers without headphones. May be in theater it can to some extent, but definitely not the hidden pieces. 5) I tried once to listen purposely on laptop speakers and 90% of the sound went unnoticed. 6) are there also audio cassettes out ? I cant imagine a way to incorporate these sounds in magnetic tape ! 7) am damn sure the singers will have no way to work out how the song would come out. That's always been the case with every ARR release but with starting of albums post-Oscar they will even be more curious ! sink in BLUE !!!

This is a dedicated program about 2 hours (6 PM to 8 PM on weekdays) in Aha Ahaa FM 91.9 at Chennai. Every week Wednesday is fans day. This week 28th May I got the chance for take part in that program with Rahaina mam. I went to the studio at 4:30 PM and received warm welcome from Rahaina mam. From 4:30 to 5:45 we were discussed many things including Boss's music, GV prakash's work in Kuselan and other upcoming movies. Also about the upcoming movies by our BOSS. Let me start off here I was asked to pick my favorites 15 songs from BOSS music. Once the songs were scheduled we were talking about few topics I am just listing here She asked me whether the Hindi GAJINI released or not. I told her no and we guys are waiting for that. She told that the SONGS WERE COMPLETED AND READY FOR THE RELEASE. (Great news . isn't it?) Then we discussed about the two new releases ADA and JTYJN. While discussing about ADA she has mentioned that "Milo wahan wahan" song was developed from the BGM of Kannathil Muthamittal. While discussing about JTYJN I told her about our discussion about "COPY" and "DIRECT LIFT" thread she replied "What crap this is he doesn't have time to watch TV or listen to other's music. I guess he might not be aware of Devi sri prasad's film music and the movie names too". Also she explain me that some times this kind of incident happens with all of the MDs. She has given one example which was happened to GV Prakash's music. That was "He was composed a song a Thilang raag, but it reminds me the Spiderman theme song. I told him that both like similar . But GV wasn't aware of the Spiderman theme." (So guys please avoid using copy or direct lift for boss's music) I asked her about ROBO she told me that composing may start once the ROBO project start rolling after Rajini reliving from Kuselan project. Also motioned that GV came up with great tunes for Rajini and great melody tunes for Pasupathi (Second here of Kuselan movie). A great news for London fans . the next live convert might be in LONDON. Also she mentioned that she have no idea about the next live concert in India. While discussing about her own music compositions I told that she is one step ahead in composing folk song (In normal tamil words I would say "Kutthu paatu" style) when compare to ARR also mentioned "Kumango Kumango" song from "Machi" movie. She laughed and told that Rahman always wants to compose the folk songs in very decent manner and also told that "Kudikaran paatu compose pannave matter" (He hates composing for drunken situation) After that we went to the studio room for the show and had fun totally it was a great experience. Here I would like to thank her for offer to take part in that show, and my hearty thanks goes to Aha Ahaa FM and it's crew. With Regards, Mathan Raj A - What is your Emotional Quotient? Find out.

Well... The only help or favour we can do to ppl who compare harris with ARR, is immediatly ask them to RUSH to a psychiatrist.. thats all.. Wat else can we do.. Poor guys..I pity them
Re: [arr] My Experience in Rahmania show with Rahaina mam in Aha Ahaa FM
Dear Mathan You gave us so many intricate details... I think, we can expect Ghajini soon. That would be really a treat.. I am also afraid as our people should not start comparing Harris with ARR... [arr] My Experience of KMMC
Dear Friends, It's true. This is my experience with KM Music conservatory. It was hot sultry afternoon. I had already got permission from my boss for getting the prospectus of KMMC.A car was heading towards Anna Nagar, so i toogot into it. I told the driver, i will get down at Vadapalani, but the driver was kind enough to drop me at the holy gates for us. Yeah the gates of Rahmanji.I called up KMMC Office. Due to some network problem i had to keep on calling them thrice. I told them i'm waiting at gates of Rahmanji's residence. I was told to wait there and they will send a person to take me. I wonder if anyone would send a person to pick us, if we fail to make ourselves. When i entered, the reception showed me a warm smile and cognized me as i called them thrice :) I was then introduced to this Noble Lady Mrs.Jothi Nair Belliappa. She was very soft spoken and she attended all her calls with lots of patience and with same tempo. It's difficult to repeat the same details again and again. But she was maintaining her cool. Wow!. It was at that time Mr.Rajeevan had called. She was so humble, in replying him about his travelling all the way from Malayais. Instead she asked to send a demo tape. She then enquired about my personal details and musical background. I told her everything what i know. it was nice meeting them. Please do bless/pray, as i'm fondly looking forward this BIG thing in my life. and also best wishes to others who are going to join KMMC. - Original Message From: rajeevan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, 14 May, 2008 7:47:13 PM Subject: [arr] KM Music Conservatory Applicants. Dear members, I'm from Malaysia, I got all the recent mails from KM Music Conservatory too. I was so happy and called KM Music and spoke to Dr Jyothi Nair yesterday. She was so humble to me. I asked her do I need to come down to Chennai for the auditions and she replied, well I understand that coming down to Chennai for an audition itself will cost a lot. Maybe you could send in your sample CDs or something but I will have to ask Mr. Rahman or the GM first. haha..I also asked her about the numbers of applicants. She replied there were about thousand of applications we got. OMG thousand and only 80-90 will be chosen. But I always hope that I must be one among the 80. Well I dunno whether I'm sellfish, but I would do anything to get an admission into this music school. It also depends on the outstanding audition performance. From now on I will try my level best to get into KM Music Conservatory. As of now, I'm thinking of glying down to Chennai first. Is there any international students really interested to join the conservatory too? Please keep all of us updated here regarding your applications and some of the unknown terms and condition that some of you may have known. Wishing all the applicant all the best luck. Re: [arr] My experience
Ur msg took me down memory lane..id bought my ratchagan cassette too frm brigade road bangalore in oct 97 on the day it was released Reply Header Subject:[arr] My experience Author: "hotboy786_2000" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 23rd December 2007 02:43 Hi! a.r.rahman freeks. I would like to share one of my experience about out boss's music. This happened long time ago. I was in Bangalore with my friends on tour. We were just roming on brigate road, we went in a music shop, we were just checking out all the cassettes. Suddenly a song was played in music store, that song sounded extraordinary and I liked that song very much. I thought in my mind 'I wish a.r. rahman compose this kind of song some day or I wish a.r.rahman had composed this song'. So I went to the owner of the shop and asked 'from which movie is this song ?' He replied its from 'Rachakand', music just release. I said ok and asked 'who is the music director ?' He said A.R.Rahman. I shocked and there was no limit of my happiness. I told my friends what happened they smiled. That song was 'Bombay Madras Delhi'. Shehzad.
Re: [arr] My experience
I had a similar kind of experience. I went to buy 'Kadhalan' cassette from singsons electronics in Trivandrum(Now it is kolams). I just asked the shop keeper to play the song, And he played urvashi urvashi (begining portion)for me again he reversed the cassette and played mukkala muqabla(ending portion). It was really mind blowing. An english couple was there purchasing some english stuffs and they heard this they asked me which was the album. That time i was too poor at communicating in english and I somehow told them that it is 'kadhalan', They purchased the cassette and I was too much surprised on that. Again my brother had a friend from US, his name is karsten shoer. He visited our home and even he had a copy of humse hai muqabla with him. ARR is the best. --- hotboy786_2000 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi! a.r.rahman freeks. I would like to share one of > my experience about > out boss's music. > This happened long time ago. [arr] My experience with ARR!
Rahmaniacs, For a long time now I have been trying to write my experience meeting ARR. And its a long one. It starts from me getting jealous as one my friend met him in a London mosque and had food with him. Then getting myself in the queue to get his autograph in the Bombay Dreams CD release in London. And my friend screwed up the pictures. And later we made it to the Preview of Bombay Dreams (not the Premier). And the London concert toped it all. Will write in details (with pictures and mobile video of Vande Mataram from the London Concert and I am sorry you will not to get to see ARR's face in there..) in near future as there will be loads of posting as GF is released! oh! and did I tell you that I have a 30GB iPod only of ARR's songs. I am going to engrave his signature on back of it! :-) or shall I leave it and wait to see him again and get his autograph on back of the iPod with a permanent marker! Now wouldn't that be something cool. Oh! my God now I am getting ideas.. I really need to speak to iPod people! Imagine a ARR version of iPod like they did for U2. Give me a couple of seconds... done.. I just wrote to Apple iPod officially. Rgds, Mirza. ___ To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Yahoo!
