2008-03-27 Thread logesh kum-arr
I guess people here have again starting bashing others comments ,
I think it is better to comment abt the goodness of some thing u liked than
bashing at something u didnt like or felt was inferior

I felt both was good in there own style and genre.

I liked DSKR very much and am wordless in describing the musik, as all the
songs were gr8 ,
an I liked the Kathalukku Mariyathai too but didnt go in depth analysing the
composition as I did for DSKR.

Cool down buddy. Dont get so emotional about Ilayaraja. I dont
understand why you are taking so much pains to pin down ARR's music.
When you yourself has admitted that you havent seen Doli Saja Ke
Rakhna.

I clearly told that I have SEEN ALL THREE VERSIONS. I never said
Ilaya's music was bad, I only said it was not as good as Hindi and
Malayalam versions.

And if you want to continue praising Ilaya, please do it in a Ilaya
fan group.

Doli Saja Ke Rakhna for me, is anyday light years better than
Kadhalukku music. Period !

This is a classic example of people blindly rejecting even IR's
masterpiece as something worthless music.

If someone can't prove his point, is it correct to finish it off with
'let's stick to only ARR'. FYI, I did not start this topic. Then, why
did you reply to this thread first of all? Strange...

I think you are one of the very few who feel that KM's BGM is the
weakest one. God bless you!

hahahaha huhuhu...
that was hilarious man thx 4 the joke...hahahaha...

I have been ripping so many BGMs in the recent years... not only ARR's.. but
sum other MD's BGMs too (it has been done upon request) and i am very
much sure that... none of the MD's in India can be compared to BGMs provided
by Rahman anna i admit Illayaraja is good in re-recording... but, his
piece couldn't stand in front of Rahman's ability to bring up the scene

[arr] Re: Ghajini Vs Ghajini- Similar Situation a decade ago

2008-03-27 Thread nitinchacko

This is a classic example of people blindly praising anything from
Ilayaraja as masterpiece.

I have seen all 3 versions - Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam - and the
music in Tamil version was the weakest of the 3 versions.

Anyways, everyone has their opinions.
I am out of this topic.
Lets stick to A.R.Rahman alone in this group.

Thanks,

I did not watch DSKR. So I can't comment about it.

Regarding which had the best BGM (Tamil / Malayalam), I don't want to
argue with you. I'll leave it to others to judge.

Truly Illayaraja's background score for Kaadhalukku Mariyaadhai is a
masterpiece. Check out detailed analysis in the below link

http://ursmusically.blogspot.com/2007/06/kaadhalukku-mariyaadhai-
background.html

Haven't seen the hindi version, so can't really comment on its
background score.
