Disclaimer: Sensitive issue. I do not mean to offend anybody's religious or personal beliefs. I would say 'Worshiping Idol' is not favored by Islam, rather than saying it is 'against Islam'. And nobody is going to worship Rahman at Madam Tussads. And as much as some of the fans would not want a statue of Rahman installed at Madam Tussads or multiple votes by single person for Rahman's songs, so much would other fans want them, simply because they love Rahman. Let us not bring religion in to music and related discussions on this forum here. If it is somebody's wish to see Rahman's statue at Madam Tussads, let us not intrude into his/her personal choice. And if Rahman says no, we will accept it. Period. But, it is unfair for us to say what will be Rahman's opinion. I too feel same as mentioned by Amin. If somebody approaches ARR for this idea, definitely, he will say BIG "NO" to this. As rightly mentioned by Amin, form of idol is against the fundamental tenets of Islam. I too personally feel that ARR has already reached heights. Just keeping his idol in Madam Tussads is noway going to get him new heights.. i wont agree with you, i am not sure if you have been to madame tussads or not, but be there, it seems real, i would love you take a picute with rahmans idol...here its not he who speaks but his music. I am sure he believes in god a lot..but then for me he is a living legend and he is supposed to be in madam tussads... I respect your sentiments guys. And with my secular outlook, I still understand when Rahman can appear in music videos, on tele, in magazines, in tabloids and everywhere, why not get a statue of his as well? We are only venerating "the" epitome of music with due admiration. We aren't labelling him a God! Shah Rukh never restrained from the idea of his statue installed either!
