I think after 18 years of association of a fan with ARR, it becomes imperative on the fan to introspect what is in this song/ album that he is not liking, when he has liked some 100 albums and 1000 songs of the man. Whoever does that introspection with feel relieved himself, on finding the specific point about the song/ album that are not to his own liking. This way, he retains confidence that it is the genre that he is not liking, and he still likes ARR phenomenon and he will like ARR's next album whenever ARR gives songs in the genre that the fan likes. ARR has given us unbounded divine pleasure 100 times with his albums. What we have given him back? What can we give him back? I think we can give him back an honest feedback of our views and feeling on his albums instead of an unbalanced hype or endless criticism. -- Rawat

Also those who like Endiran songs please refrain from getting into arguments in this thread. I welcome those feedback which can precisely pointing out the aspects that lead to disappointment. Criticism have to be clear just like how one explains the liking of even those subtle bits in a song which had cast the magic. Now this is a positive approach by Ravi, to those who are disappointed. Well, regarding Endhiran, I am enjoying the sounds in it, especially in Puthiya Manitha and Chitti Dance. But if I geniunely take the music as a whole, I cant cheat my conscience by saying I like the music, or by say 'It is an out of the world masterpiece', and give detailed reviews praising the very few good elements in it. To my fellow ARR fans, Iam not into 'bashing' Endhiran music here as u people say! Everyone has the freedom to express his views. Infact, it is many of you, who are 'bashing' some people , who express their honest views. Many people here ask: "Then What do you expect for a sci-fi subject??" Regarding the music required for a sci-fi subject. Please refer the scores of sci-fi movies produced in Hollywood. Then U would understand what is required for such a subject. And we all know, that ARR is capable of doing much more than many of those Hollywood composers. Iam enjoying the sounds in Endhiran and the layering in Arima Arima. Also, I like Endhiran more than Sivaji... Juz because, Endhiran has the sounds which I expected in Sivaji. Very enjoyable. But certainly the concepts and genres are very old (Unusually from ARR). We would love ARR trying such genres... But we dont want ARR to follow the textbook format.. We want him in the Rahmantic way.. Always experimenting like a mad musical scientist as AJ had qouted many times. Remember when ARR experimented with jazz in Iruvar?? Did he ever follow the style, established by the legends of Jazz back in the 70's and 80's ?? No.. He went into mad experimentation giving masterpieces like vennilaa vennillaa which would even leave the jazz legends awestruck;and also resulting in some hybrid tracks like 'Aayirathil Naan Oruvan' and 'Kannai Katti', where 'Dave Brubeck met MS Vishwanathan'.
