Computer telephony integration with Remedy

2009-12-19 Thread Angus Comber
Hi

Since 2002 Itel Office have been involved in providing computer telephony
integration solutions for the Remedy application. For current users and
prospective users here is an update:

1. Avaya platform/hardware now supported.
2. Attach data to calls feature. It is now possible when transferring a call
to attach the Remedy EntryID (or indeed any string data) to auto-pop the same
Remedy form on the receiving agent as the form used on the original client
conversation. Thereby, eliminating the need for customer to repeat their
problem each time they speak to a new agent.
3. Ability to create a powerful, fully featured softphone into a Remedy form.
4. Remedy thick and thin client supported.
5. Integration work requires no development or telephony experience. If you
can create an active link, you can do it!

There is also a new version which will be available 1st January 2010 which
supports Magic SDE.

If you have any questions please visit www.iteloffice.com.

Re: AR System 7.5 Upgrade Issue

2009-12-19 Thread Jarl Grøneng
Hi,

Seens this several times when upgrading from 6.3 to 7.5 running on Oracle.

Even with the same copy of the database, the installer behavies
different. Complaining on alter a few tables. After fixing this the
installation went almost ok. The installer does also skip upgrading a
few system forms if there is no Demo user in user form. Since ar
system is not licenced yet a new fixed licenced user can not be
installed if you already got 3 or more fixed users. But still the
installer states that the installation went fine.

The installer does not create a proper armonitor file, so you can not
add liceses either :-)

Take a deeper look at the installation log file, and examine the
errors and warning...

Regards,
Jarl

Re: AR System 7.5 Upgrade Issue

2009-12-19 Thread Joe D'Souza
arslist Digest - 15 Dec 2009 (#2009-50)Jeremy,

You said you are trying to 'upgrade' to 7.5 but it doesn't 'install' the
system forms..

What really are you doing? An install? Or an upgrade on an already existing
ARS system?

If you are upgrading, at what point of the upgrade does this upgrade fail?
Any upgrade logs?

If it is a fresh install any install logs? While it may be fun to dig the
install logs on a fresh install, it may save you time by just blowing up the
DB and reinstalling again. Make sure you have sufficient resources both on
the OS as well as on the DB, as fresh installs usually fail with errors like
that if the resources are discounted especially on the DB.

It may help to know what DB and OS you are on if we are to throw any
recommendations on sizing etc.
