Hi again,

I just want to check a couple of things, as RRR|Alias has not been visited
anywhere near what I was expecting.

This is an open page, and you do not need to login or anything similar.

Q1: Have you all learned which Form Alias is connected to which Form, and
the same for the Entry Points in ITSM7, which would make this tool
obsolete?

Q2: Have I missed something else? Maybe there is some other way to quickly
find out the Alias/Entry Point/Form Name relationships?

Q3: Maybe I was too vague about what this really was, and it's benefits?

Look at your Temp Path variable.
If the path has a space in it, you will get the error you mention below.
We always change the temp path to C:\Temp and it works fine after that.\

Thanks.

The reason I asked is:

I am trying to install ARS 7.5 on Windows 2008 and am getting the error "no
space to install". I know we have enough space.

I have done the following to configure the DEP feature
• From the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel, and then double-click
System.
• Click the Advanced tab.
• In the Performance area, click Settings.
• On the Data Execution Prevention tab, verify if the “Turn on DEP for
all programs
• and services except those I select” option is selected.
• If the “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only”
option is selected, no configuration is required.

Is there anything I can check?

Thanks

I meant how much data was in the db, wondering how many hours the actual ITSM
upgrade itself would take (not the other work involved). We have already

I have done 6 of them so far and with customizations, data, install, bug
fixes, Notification adjustments, new configurations etc.. The average has
been about 3 months. Now of course this greatly depends on how good your 7.1
data is and how many customizations you have.

Hi,

I have been tasked to provide some effort estimates for upgrading our
Remedy environment from ARS 7.0.1 to 7.5 and ITSM applications from
7.0.1 to 7.6 (including CMDB upgrade).

I was wondering if anybody who have been through a similar upgrade could
share their experience.

Would be interesting to know not only time spent on the Remedy technical
side, but also what re-training was required/given to users and what
other technical/non-technical resources you had to use during the
upgrade.

Thanks

Is there any documentation available to explain the commands executed
between
Discovery and the TOPO (i.e. when Discovery discovers an asset, what are
the commands that execute for the datastore to communicate with TOPO)?

Also, the commands that execute between TOPO and the CMDB. (i.e. when an
asset is in TOPO, the commands it uses to execute a command with the CMDB).

I have not been able to find any documentation on this. I know about the
config.XML files for Windows and Unix that are located on the Discovery

Crystal Reports

2010-05-06 Thread Martinez, Marcelo A
One thing that has always annoyed me when running and saving a crystal report
via Remedy, regardless of file format, is it always saves the filename in all
lowercase letters even if some of my letters are capitalized. Not a big issue
but I wonder if others experience the same.

Re: Finding the connected form-name, alias and entry-points...

2010-05-06 Thread Misi Mladoniczky
Hi Rick, Kerry, Begosh,

That is good to hear, from all of you.

The next step would be to find complete form-def-files from all of ITSM
7.0, 7.5 and 7.6 to make the database complete.

Finding language specific def-files would also be something to do.

How can I get a complete set of these def-file in an easy way, any ideas?

The current version of RRR|Alias is based on an English ITSM 7.0. The
installed modules should be fairly complete, but I am not sure exactly how
complete they are...

Re: {Remedy ARS} Re: Windows UserID

2010-05-06 Thread jham36
Why not include the requested info in the survey url? Or just the
incident ID? I don't feel like looking up the documentation, but you
can set a field value through the url something like F%fieldid%=
$IncidentID$
Having the incident id can allow you to use workflow to pull in any
info you want from the incident.

Q1: Have you all learned which Form Alias is connected to which

 this tool obsolete?

Q2: Have I missed something else? Maybe there is some other way to
quickly find out the Alias/Entry Point/Form Name relationships?
