Hi,

If we go back to the original question about ARUser.exe, as Mark Walters
pointed out, if you do an overlay of a form on a version 9 server, this will
not be supported by ARUser.exe:

So this means that to support ARUser.exe, you might need to do your
modifications of the User/Group form in Base Mode instead of Best Practice
Mode.

If these changes in any way reference your Custom forms or objects, they will
not be available in Base Mode. The end result might be that you need to keep
everything in Base Mode after all...

To simplify getting rid of ARUser.exe, I have created a utility to convert
your Menu Bar "buttons" into a Navigation Field instead. I made this tool when
I had to convert about 150 Menu Bar forms to support Mid-Tier:

Hi Brad,

To achieve this functionality we need to follow below steps:

1. We can achieve this using AIF forms in SRM , which contains design of Login 
form as you required.
2. We need to create manual workflows for this.
3. On AIF form we need to take all these login form fields , and one 'forget 
password button'.
4. On click of this button , we can open another window/ form where we can take 
answers of questions from user who have forgot the password.
5. we can ask him answers or else registered email id, if registered email id 
is correct then we can send automatically generated password to him on his 
registered email id.  
6.Now he can login with dummy password provided on his registered email id and 
then reset it again.

Looking towards issue description and screenshot given by user,
I have faced this issue before, It seems there is no error in installation.
But the installation is not progressing.

This issue occures due to issue in uninstallation. User need to delete all
registry entries and reinstall it once.

Hi James,

I have gone through the all OOTB events in SYS:Notification Messages , However 
I failed to find  OOTB functionality to achieve the same.

Due to this we need to do customization. 
I have further checked the ways to send notification to user when a work log 
entry is made.
I found there are two ways to achieve the same.

1.  Writing Filter on Submit event of forms namely “HPD:Work Log” and 
”CHG:WorkLog” and with a qualification matching the incident ID (HPD:HelpDesk) 
and “Incident Number”(Field on HPD:Worklog). For Example “'Incident 
Number'="INC0004"”(This qualification is hard coded).
In this Filter we can use the action “Notify” and Mechanism as “Email”. In “To” 
field  fetch the customers Email ID from People Profile of user.

2.  If we need to achieve this through SYS:Notification Messages form then 
we need to enter new value say “Worklog Updated/New Worklog Entry” in the 
Selection field namely “Notification Event” on “NTE:SYS-Define NT Events” form 
by using Developer Studio. Likewise then create the related entry on the 
“NTE:SYS-Define NT Events” form  and Enable for to create a mapping between the 
module and new event. 
Create a entry in SYS:Notification Messages form and update related Workflows 
in the Notification engine.

Hope one of these approach is the expected and correct.

Let me know in case any other inputs are required from my end.

It is a two step procedure that you should be able to do with AI. First create 
the Change then have the AI process query the file with the list of CIs to 
create the Change association records by validating the CI exist in the CMDB 
and pulling the field value, I think it is the recon ID to create the 
association records.

the issue we face is that only one CI can be passed to this form when the

a template is not an option as the list of CIs may change from month to month.

I don’t see the workflow in Dev Studio to handle this.. just want to confirm. 
also, what other options are there to explore? I've seen web services, but 
that’s for the same form CHG:ChangeInterface_Create

I did this years ago.  I needed to build a staging form to get all the data 
together before I pushed it to the work info.  I than ran a 30 day escalation 
to delete records from the staging form.

For our environment we used the Attachment Alternative field Email (ID: 18100) 
from the Advanced Options tab on the AR System Email Messages form to attach 
the entire email to the Work Info note.

The reason we chose to go this route was there was no guarantee on the number 
of attachments anyone would send, this could include graphics in people's 
signatures and any screenshots in the message body. We did not want to create 
many extra attachment fields and we did not want to go through the trouble of 
building workflow to zip all attachments into 1 file, especially when we could 
attach the original email in its original format, including every attachments, 
to the ticket itself.

We then created a Filter with a qualification pertinent to the work info notes 
we wanted this process to fire on and that took care of our issues.

There were a few complaints in the beginning about having to first open an 
email attachment only to then have to open another attachment or two. However, 
as time went on people came to love this method because it kept everything 
intact, even the message headers, and it has been very well received.

I have all the functionality in place to update a WorkInfo field on a Work 
Order.  I want to be able to include an attachment if the person sends one.



In my tests, the attachment does not fail.  It shows that it is in the 
attachment join form.  How do I get this to show on my Work Order form.  I've

I started getting this error yesterday after logging into our midtier server. 
Our home page loads some data after logging in through the midtier without any 
issues. But when I try to open other forms that loads data I start getting this 
error:

Unable to setup data connection, which is preventing the application from 
working correctly. HTTP Communication Error : 403 (ARERR 9351)

I have scoured the internet for answers but no cigar. Please let me know if you 
resolved this issue before.

Count CRQ related an INC in status=<"Completed"

I need know how can I get in a field the result of 

SELECT COUNT (*) FROM CHG_Association_ID02Join WHERE (Request_ID01 =$Incident 
Number$  AND RequestID02_Status>=10)

What I need is that no one could resolve or close or cancel and incident if it 
has one or more related changes in status less than completed, closed or 
canceled.


I was trying to do this by a filter with a Direct SQL command with this query, 
but I don't know how to take the number of the result of the query.

When you select "Data Source: SQL" in a Set Fields action, any results from the 
query are returned as $1$, $2$, etc. So if your SQL statement was:

select a, b, from my_form

To map the results of "a" you would use a value of $1$,  and for the results of 
"b" you would use a value of $2$.

Issue after "Refresh Interval" update

Hi!



Someone has seen this behaviour?



1) set some search criteria directly in Incident's form like
status=Assigned to Any Group, perform search.

2) Set refresh interval to 1 minute

3) Wait for refresh, if the selected incident moves to other status where
not meet the search criteria the Incident Details go blank, the Result list
may contain or not info.
4) Select any other Incident from Result List Panel, not the very first
record and Remedy apparently shows in Result List the record but in the
Incident Detail the info is from First Record in the result list.

OT: Sync of Contacts, Notes & Calendar events from MS-Outlook to iPhone...

This being a Friday, I hope to not get yelled at posting a non-related
subject :-)

 

I have an issue since the February 2015 update of iTunes with the sync
functionality that syncs Contacts, Notes and Calendar events from MS-Outlook
to an iPhone using iTunes.

 

Previously the sync worked correctly taking into account which device the
entry was updated later and then copied that to the other device. So if the
entry on MS-Outlook on my laptop was updated later, MS-Outlook would update
the entry on the iPhone. Similarly, if the entry from the iPhone was updated
later, MS-Outlook would be updated from the data on my iPhone.

 

Now after that February update, the sync operation is no longer a sync.
Irrespective of what was updated later, the sync now just copies what is on
MS-Outlook on the PC to the phone and looses whatever update was on the
phone if that update was later resulting in loss of data.

 

I am on the latest version of iTunes and even patches after that February
patch, have not resolved this issue.

 

I have also noticed that it does a true sync and not a one directional copy
now ONLY if I close iTunes and delete the SyncServices folder and then
reopen iTunes and perform a sync. So something has definitely broken since
the February update of iTunes.

 

Has anyone else noticed this?

PS: I have heard of options like google mail accounts and other cloud based
solutions to use to sync this information but for privacy reasons I would
rather have this information locally on my laptop/desktop rather than up in
the cloud some place - even if it is a supposedly a secure place..

1.which version of mid-tier
2.ARS
3. Is this server group environment ?
