Yes. I checked the workflows. There is no AL that changes the view. I believe
OOTB, remedy looks for a web view of the form on mid-tier. I have enabled
'Display Standard views' option on mid tier config and that worked. Though it
displays default admin view now but I still have issues. Can't update email

yea...I suppose you could do thatthe information in that form is coming
from a plugin, that uses the api to provide the table contents...so, you
should be able to use the same source as the table and provide the proper
queries to do what you needthat might be an option.

When you say you copied all the data, how did you copy the data from 7.6 to
9? Did you copy the tables in the DB, or use some kind of export/import
process?

The answer to your question, is yes you have to update the server reference
in the data you copied.

Hi,

What exactly do you want to do?

The user-log stores all licensing activity, but you need to parse the log in
some way. ADV: for example with RRR|License

There is also the Server Information License Tracking functionality that
stores a more manageable amount of data in the AR System Historical License
Usage form.

You can also use the same Vendor form used in the AR System Administration:
Manage User Licenses form, but you might need to use a table-field to hold the
data as only some of the API-calls and search qualifications are implemented
in the Vendor form.

In your Mid-Tier Config you can set to "Prefer standard/windows views" (on the
General settings).

That should make the same view you see in the User Tool the default on Mid-Tier

#2 Label - Default Admin View

Hi,

You should always use the same version of DevStudio as that of the AR Server.

Sometimes you can use a newer DevStudio version than the AR Server.

As there is a significant platform change between the 8.x and 9.x AR Server, I
would be extra careful.

Did you check for active links firing on window open for that form? I remember
way back in maybe version 5 that I wrote active links to test the client type
and if web then it would switch to a different view (since Standard views
didn't render properly in a browser back then). You may want to use central
preferences for your web login and enable logging to capture the active links.

Re: License Monitor Application 'LicMon'

Hello Anonymous,
The problem is that the native Remedy workflow doesn't have access to the
API, and you need access to the API to be able to determine who is
currently logged on, and do that sort of license monitoring. Because of
this...you can't replace it with Remedy workflow. You could replace it
with a plugin, with a stand alone java program, a c program, or really any
other language that uses the api (usch as perl)...but, you can't use native
remedy workflow to do what the perl scripts are doing (which is probably
why the scripts were written)
