Remedy 9 mid tier URL

2016-02-09 Thread Su Kaur
Hello All,

To access remedy 9 mid tier, we have to use the URL with port 8080 in it like
http://:8080/arsys/shared/login.jsp.
Is there a way to remove port number from the url and access it with just the
server name?

Thank you!
Kaur

What is your mid-tier server OS? What web server are you running? (Apache, IIS
etc...)

Listers,

Sorry if this is redundant, but I like to keep things fresh when I can. I am
still open and looking for a Contract or FTE position. I am highly
proficient in ITSM, CMDB, ADDM, SLM, and Analytics to ARS 9.1 with special
focus on CMDB and in the older systems AIE. I am willing to travel for the
right contract, I am also open to relocation for the right opportunity. I
work very well in both Windows and Unix environments and in both Oracle and
MSSQL. Please contact me off list if you think I might of service to you,
and I will gladly send you my resume.

You can update the port in the tomcat config tool. Set it to port 80
instead of 8080. Port 80 is the default port for HTTP.

Apologize if this is duplicate, but wanted to be sure everyone on this list saw
this:

(not sure if ADV is the right prefix to use, but wanted to put something)

ARS 7.6.4 - ITSM 7.6.4 Missing Name in searches

2016-02-09 Thread Sanford, Claire
Has anyone ever experienced this weirdness... Search for a last name and NO
ONE with that last name pulls up.

On the CTM:People form when we search for anyone with the last name "young"
nothing comes up. We have 81 people with that last name.

I'm going to export them all and delete them and rebuild them if I have to, it
is just weird!

Hi Claire,
The only time I've seen this is when the FTS index didn't complete because it
was taking too long to run. BMC gave us a fix for the FTS indexing and the
problem was solved. You can test by disabling FTS and try your search again.
If your search works with FTS disabled you can be reasonably sure that's the
problem. Hope this helps

Everything Jase said, plus this - "young" might have been added to the ignore
