ARSlist platform move overlaps by a month

2016-08-16 Thread arslist
This platform will disappear on Friday September 30th. (anybody in Toronto
need a couple of Dell Servers housed by a really great ISP?)

Please subscribe to the ARSlist Community at BMC Communities before then to
ensure continuity of questions and answers and participation.

BMC:Engage is only weeks away, have you made your plans yet to attend this
year's most important BMC related event?

[and really, the best place to spend your ARSystem training dollars IMHO,
and yes, I say that even when I pay the travel costs myself like this year]

Cheers Dan

Repeat of instructions:

1. If people don't yet have an account on BMC Communities (or a
 BMC Single Sign On
credentials), create one

2. Join the
ARSList group (and you could join WWRUG as well, there will be activity in
both places)

3. Follow ARSList group in
Communities Inbox (to make an easier transition, receiving posts using
Email)

Java files may be missing.

Please check the Java location which is referred by email engine and check
whether all necessary files exist in there.

 Hello All,

We have done Java upgrade and now AR email service is not coming up.
When we try to start it getting below error :

The BMC Remedy Email Engine - 2 service on local
computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they
are not in use by other services or programs.”

Could you please help us to resolve this issue?

 Regards,

 Amit

Re: Email service is not getting started. (Window server)

2016-08-16 Thread Andre, Jacques
Hi Amit,

The issue is that there are some registry entries which have to be changed to
the location of the new java version.

To fix this issue, search the value of “JVM Library” in the registry, on the
server which is running the email engine.

Change the value of “JVM Library” to the new location of JAVA. (Eg. C:\Program
Files\Java\jre1.8.0_91\bin\server\jvm.dll)

You will also need to do the same for Flashboards

Hope this helps
