Hi,

But I can use the attached WSDL (old WSDL) several times which works
fine and I am only having a problem with the new WSDL. I am not
confident that the patch would fix the issue though. I have attached the
WSDL's and perhaps someone can assist me in comparing the 2 schemas and
see if you could find something.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your response.

I have been using web services for the past 3 years now with no problems
and now I have created a new service I am having issues. Do you think
that the above issue has to do with the xml schema with the bindings?

Yes, the server is crashing . The stack below matches that for arserver
defect SW00288690, which is fixed in 7.0.1 patch 8.

Tiered Menu

2008-06-03 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi,

I have created a search menu with a tiered drop down and I want to set
the details that the user chooses into the underlying fields. For
example if the user chooses the following from the menu

-Problem

-Link

-ADSL

-Down

I would like to set 'Link', 'ADSL', 'Down' into 3 different fields. How
could I do this without setting the field with the tiered menu with the
Request ID to get the underlying information.

Please can someone assist me on this.

Also see attached picture of an example.

Re: Tiered Menu

2008-06-03 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Thank you Shawn for your suggestion.

The thinking behind it was to try to shorten the time is takes to log a
request if some of the fields could automatically be set, instead of
going through each field menu.

Personally, I think it would be painful to have a menu like that to
begin with. Add more items to it and try clicking around it. You'll
see that it's difficult to navigate, especially when you get submenus
with larger amounts of items. People will try to click something then
it might disappear because they hovered over a different part or
something. What I would suggest is to set up either a table field (set
up as a tree) or a List Box to do this, otherwise people will not like
the application.

With that being said though, you probably will have to go the route you
don't want to go. The way I would do it would probably be to put the
menu of the Incident field on another field that stores the request ID
of the menu item and sit this field behind the Incident field so they
appear to be parts of the same field. In the menu, have the labels be
what you are displaying (Down, Intermittent flapping, etc) and the
actual value of the field is the Request ID. Then, when the menu
selection is made, run an Active Link that sets the other fields. It's
nothing elegant, but it works.

Sorry folks, OCD is kicking in. :-)

Darshana,
If you were to get the same email address for three or more iterations
in a row, you'd end up with triple commas, which isn't accounted for in
my original post. Its probably best to clean up the double commas as
you go, thereby ensuring we never get more than two in a row. So, in
your AL that does the looping:
Set Fields, SQL: SELECT CONTACT_EMAIL FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED]
WHERE CONTACT_ID = '$Col_C_ContactID$'
   Set MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email =
REPLACE(REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$,
LOWER($1$),) + , + LOWER($1$) , )

You'll still need to clip the leading comma after the loop is complete.

Re: Remove duplicate email address from a String

**
Darshana,

Along the lines of Frank's suggestion, how about the following:

In your AL that does the looping:
Set Fields, SQL: SELECT CONTACT_EMAIL FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED]
WHERE CONTACT_ID = '$Col_C_ContactID$'
   MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email =
REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, LOWER($1$),) + , +
LOWER($1$)

This will replace the email address with a null if its there (it does
nothing if its not) and then adds it to the end. The LOWER() is just
there in case your email addresses have mixed cases. You can use $1$
without storing it in a temp field (Email in your example), unless you
need it for some other purpose. It also gets rid of the $Val1$ and
$Val2$ temp fields.

Then, once your loop is complete, do one more set fields to clean up any
duplicate commas:
   MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email =
REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, )

Oh, and unless you are handling it somewhere else, your code will cause
the list to start with a comma (so will the above). You'll want to clip
that off:
   MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email =
SUBSTR($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, 1)
(substrings are zero-indexed, so starting at 1 skips the first char,
which we know is a comma, and without the third parameter it'll return
the rest of the string)

For that matter, combine the last two set fields into one:
   MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email =
SUBSTR(REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, ) , 1)

I hope that helps.

Hi,

Please can someone assist me with the following.

I want to remove duplicate email addresses in a string. I cannot create
a view with the distinct values as I need the unique id's of the record
therefore the only option I do have is to try and remove duplicate
occurrences after the 1st occurrence of an email address.

This is the following process that I am using but I know that the last
set fields with the replace function is not doing what I require it to
do and there is where I need some assistance.

I have a AL that fetches and email address and concatenates it to a
string in a loop.
SQL Command: SELECT CONTACT_EMAIL FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED] WHERE
CONTACT_ID = '$Col_C_ContactID$'
Set Fields 1: Email
   $1$
Set Fields 2: MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email
($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$ + ,) + $Email$

I then have another AL that does the following when it finds a match of
an email address in the string 'MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email'
Set Fields 1: Val1
   STRSTR($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, $Email$)
Set Fields 2: Val2
   LENGTH($Email$)
Set Fields 3:
   REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$,
SUBSTR($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, $Val1$, $Val2$), )

its looped through the string or the value I am looking for is

I want to remove duplicate email addresses in a string. I cannot create
a view with the distinct values as I need the unique id's of the record
therefore the only option I do have is to try and remove duplicate
occurrences after the 1st occurrence of an email address.

This is the following process that I am using but I know that the last
set fields with the replace function is not doing what I require it to
do and there is where I need some assistance.

I have a AL that fetches and email address and concatenates it to a
string in a loop.

SQL Command: SELECT CONTACT_EMAIL FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED] WHERE
CONTACT_ID = '$Col_C_ContactID$'

Set Fields 1: Email

$1$

Set Fields 2: MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email

($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$ + ,) + $Email$

I then have another AL that does the following when it finds a match of
an email address in the string 'MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email'

Set Fields 1: Val1

STRSTR($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, $Email$)

Set Fields 2: Val2

LENGTH($Email$)

Set Fields 3:

REPLACE($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$,
SUBSTR($MTNNS_primary_client_contact_email$, $Val1$, $Val2$), )

In essence if I have a table with the following email addresses and when
its looped through the string or the value I am looking for is
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] the duplicate
occurrence should be extracted from the string.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

Our AR Server version is 7.0.01 with Patch 3 and the Mid tier server
with version 7.0.01 and Patch 1.

So after applying the latest patch on Mid tier it would work?

What version is your ARServer? We ran into a similar problem when our

ARS Web Service issues

2007-12-10 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi

Mid Tier Version

7.0.01 Patch 001 200701091113

Web Server Information

Microsoft IIS ServletExec/5.0.0.10

Operating System Name

Windows 2003

Java Version

1.4.2_10

I am currently on ARS 7.0.01 server and mid-tier. I have a web service
which is being consumed by an app called BizTalk which is working fine
but these web services where created when on version 6.3. However,
there are new elements that needed to be added to the web service and
therefore I had to change the web service and map to the elements to the
XML Schema. I have been testing the Web Service by using an InfoPath
form to input the elements and then submit the data to see if the Ticket
gets Logged and a response gets sent back with the Request ID. However,
I am experiencing error messages on Info Path with No Response but when
I check the Mid tier logs it states that the Ticket was Logged and the
ref number does get returned. I have attached a mid tier log as a
reference. I also used YATT which traces inputs and outputs on port 80
on the Midtier and see the response does not get sent whether when I am
retrieving ticket details or creating a new ticket. I'm not sure where
the problem could be.

Has anyone struck this issue and managed to find a resolution, or does
anyone have suggestions on what I could try?

Execute filter between specific time of the day

2007-12-06 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi,

Can someone help me create a filter to execute from 7.00.00 AM to
7.00.00 PM.

I have tried the following Qualification but it still fires of after
7.00.00 PM.

I have tried many options

Option 1 running on one filter - fires after 7.00.00 PM as well

$TIME$ 25200 OR $TIME$ 68400

Option 2 broke it up into 2 filters

Filter 1

$TIME$ 25200

Filter 2 - Does not fire off ever

$TIME$ 68400

Option 3

Set the Start time (7.00.00 AM) in a temp Time Field and the End time in
another Time Field

'Start time' $TIME$ AND 'End Time' $TIME$

This qualification gives me a data relational error.

Consuming Web Services

2007-08-16 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi,

I am experiencing a problem when trying to consume a web service and
then do the mappings just to one particular form. When I have loaded the
WSDL and then do the input mappings and then save or click on Modify
Action and then go back to the Mappings, it undoes the mappings and goes
to the corner of my screen like the figure shown in screen shot one.
When I use a different form with the same form properties but different
fields it allows me to map fine and also shows me all the mappings after
it has been saved/modify Action like the screen shot 2. I have however
tested on the client and get the following error message

ARERR [8940] Error during XML definition parsing : Expected entity name
for reference

The preceding message occurred during the execution of active link
MTNNS:ES_conWSDL_NotificationSystem_Email Send -- action 1. (ARNOTE
1101)

I first thought the form may have been corrupted and so recreated the
form but this issue still persists.

2007-03-19 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi,

Is it possible to read/search information from a CSV file and then
populate certain fields on a form with the data acquired from the
spreadsheet? If possible how can this be achieved?

I have a spreadsheet that has all staff members that are on standby and
what I need to do is search for who is on standby and then send
notifications to them.

Re: Distinct result set on a table field

2006-12-14 Thread Darshana Jivan [MTN Network Solutions]
Hi Jiri,

Yes the database is Oracle 10g. I am aware that you cannot create view forms
from an underlying view table and tried the 1st option you mentioned before and
it did not work and that seems to be a better option.

Is there something that I am not doing right or something that I am missing?

D

Hi,

you did not mention the type of your database, but I believe you should be able
to create a database view on the table from another schema.

The view will provide only distinct values and can then be used as the source
for your view form.

As a guess, I would say in ORACLE the view script may look something like:

CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW Distinct_Contacts_View

AS

(SELECT DISTINCT Client_ID, First_Name, Last_Name, Email, SMS FROM
OTHER_DB_SCHEMA.CONTACT_TABLE_NAME)

If you prefer not to venture to SQL, you can amend your workflow to record the
previous Client ID and compare it with the Client ID of the current record in
the table.

If the two IDs match, then you do not need to amend your result string and go
straight to the next record in the table. You just need to make sure that the
table field is sorted by the Client ID value.

Hope this helps.

You could possibly do it in a View field, using either some OLE or Java
