Re: RPC failure connecting with admin tool
Hello Aaron, Two things come to my mind. First, can you check the health of the server, whether is it running on full CPU and memory utilization. If your answer is yes then try to reduce the load on the server. Secondly, can you check a continuous ping to the server? I hope that if the first one is NO, then a continuous ping might help. Re: unable to read data from Table field more than one time
Hi Serouche, Can you please confirm whether the same is working fine in the user tool? If the answer is yes then I believe that this is something to do with the Mid-Tier cache which is not refreshing. In the Mid-Tier, change the flush time to less, maybe for testing purpose you can change it to 5Sec, and then check. Re: ITSM 7 on XP
Hi Rick, There is no specific reason that ARS or ITSM will not run on XP Pro but the biggest challenge is when it comes to multi tasking. Though XP supports multi tasking but it is more efficient when you are working in a server environment. Thats all that I can say. Re: ITSM 7 on XP
Hi Audrey, What we have tried and tested is that if you can have 4gigs of physical memory in your system, it is a breather for the ITSM installation, configuration and further usage. Any less will impact the performance of the application. Secondly, if possible, plan to install the database on another box, but if you are installing the database on the same box then 4gigs is what I'll recommend. but if you plan to have everything on one single box, ARS, ITSM, DB, Mid-Tier, then 4gigs is a must have. rest depends on your requirement, a fast running system or a running system or a slow system. Re: OT-Support Question - Whine - Rant - Ignore me!
Respected Sir, As they say, live and let others live, you are happy with your job let them also earn some money. For me, the support has been able to answer all my queries, though for most of the time it is delayed, thanx to lord that I never raised any ticket for my production server. I also fail to understand the knowledge difference between us and the support people as both of us have to refer to the manuals and RKM, but atleast we get the resolution. I got three support feedback survey till date and one I have marked as satisfactory and rest two not satisfactory. Lets see if we have any improvement?? On 11/6/07, T. Adding SLA to a new form field
Hi All, I have created a new form, as per my requirement, which is to be monitored thru some SLA. Re: Opening a PDF from the MidTier
This is very strange situation... Hugo i appreciate your workaround but I believe this will not work becuase as confirmed by Brain, the pdf from any other browser opens directly without giving any error except for those from the local AR Server Mid-Tier virtual path. Brain can you please try opening any other extension file, like DOC, XLS, etc. Maybe this might lead us somewhere. Hi Brain, Can u confrim whether you are opening the URL from the server machine or have you tried opening the same from other systems in the network also? It seems that hsi is a localised problem with FireFox application and not related to ARS. In the Admin Tool, please verify the sort order on the table and also verify the fields which are mentioned there, whether they exists or not. Re: Help with ARERR 552
Deleting the Group Form is not advised. If you are not comfortable with the option I suggested then you need to import this form. You may try exporting the Group Form from any running AR System and then importing the same in the current box. Well the database style was what we did once when we came across the similar error, not exactly the same but some what similar. Again.. please take a database back, proactively, before continuing with any of the steps as advised.
