Subject: ARS Upgrade from 5.1.2 to 7.0.1 via 6.3

Hello All,

We are (finally!) upgrading ARS from 5.1.2 to 7.0.1. At the same time, we
are upgrading Oracle from 9i to 10g. Right now, we are setting up our
sandbox test environment by taking an Oracle backup and restoring it onto a
test UNIX server. This went onto the server under /opt/oracle9. My DBA
followed this up with upgrading Oracle to 10g on this box, using a new
location of /opt/oracle13.

When we run the intermediary 6.3 install, we get the following error in
/tmp/arDBErrorLog:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library: libclntsh.sl.9.0
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory Tue Jul 10 16:27:52 PDT 2007

It appears that something is looking for an Oracle 9 client library but,
since we now have Oracle 10 on this server, this doesn't make sense ... or
does it?

Can somebody please let me know what I have to do to get rid of this error?

Thanks much!
Betsy McCullough

Hi Shibu,

If you don't want to go the route of creating a Display-Only form and
associated workflow, then you can prevent a search being done on the
User form with the Login name being $NULL$. Create an Active Link that
executes on Search. The Run If statement can be:

($OPERATION$ = QUERY ) AND ('Login Name' = $NULL$)

and the Permissions will be the Group you want this workflow to execute on.

You can present an error message as the If Action telling the user they
need to enter a value in the Login Name field before searching.

An alternative to opening the User form with the Update button, is to
create a display-only form and open that. The form will have the fields
on it that you want the user to be able to see/modify. If they are
going to be able to modify the fields then they will have to have
permission on the User form to do so.

Once you create the display-only form and add the fields you can then
add 3 buttons to the form. One will search for the login name and
return the data for the fields you added to the form if there is an
exact match. This can be accomplished using an active link and a Set
Fields action. Another button can be used to modify the record that is
returned and a Push Fields action will update the User record. The
third button closes the form without performing any save or modify actions.

This is a good way to control the access the user has.

Either option should work for you.

Hope that helps,

Rick Ponzo

It sounds like a display only form may be what you're looking for. By
using a display only form you can add a button that conducts the search
based on a value entered into a character field. You can control if you
would allow wildcards, or require an exact match.

This sounds like a better approach for what you want to do.

FEB-07
APR-08
MAY-09

When one of this is selected, the data needs to be converted into the last
working day of the particular month for the particular year on submit.
I'm using the Application-Bus-Time-Add Process to calculate the last
working
day but the problem is that though I've entered 28/02/2007 in the holiday
list of the the Business Time Holidays form, when I use the following
command in the Set Fields $PROCESS$ @@:Application-Bus-Time-Add
$fieldname$ 19 4 Holidays Workdays I get the result as 28/02/2007
which is incorrect.

There is a temp field that sets the date to 01/02/2007 when FEB-07 is
selected.

What am I doing wrong that the holiday is not considered and is displayed
as
the last working day.

Thanks in advance.

The problem is in the error message. You have to install/build Apache
with the DSO option turned ON. This will build (or should build the apxs
script which is used to build Dynamic Service Objects (DSO). This will build
the mod_servletexec.so file which is used for Servlets and JSP object
translation/compilation when you are running your server.

You are on UNIX, right?

Subject: Mid-Tier Installation error

Hi List,

I am trying to install mid-tier 6.3 on Apache 2.2.2 with mid-tier
inbuilt ServletExec, but while installation i am getting the below error :

*
Enter port number []
Installing ServletExec AS in
/usr/local/NewAtlanta/ServletExecAS
Error constructing mod_servletexec.so
Verify that the compiler and link-editor specified by $CFG_CC
and $CFG_LD_SHLIB in your 'apxs' script are in your PATH.

Also you have to have the path to gcc and ld in the PATH. Gcc is
normally
located in the /usr/gcc directory. If you are on a Solaris system,
you
have to install the SUN compiler package and add /usr/ccs/bin to
your
 PATH.

Also verify that the 'apxs' script has been properly
installed. The installation log file (/tmp/SEinstall.log)
has more details about these problems.
If you continue to have problems then please forward the
error messages and to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ServletExec installation aborting on failure!
See /tmp/SEinstall.log for log of installation.
