Re: Export to html/text file

2009-09-24 Thread Rogerio

Hi Fred,

I've done some tests and I've figured out that this solution doesn't work in
midtier. The set field of the attachment field doesn't happens, so the
solution is not appropriate for us.

Anyway, thanks and regards.

Anyone else?

Roger

I'm not sure about save right now... You could possibly do a Set Fields of
the View Field to a Display/Only Attachment field and then use the
PERFORM-ACTION-SAVE-ATTACHMENT Run Process action to initiate a save to
the user's machine.

Hi listers,

I have a char field that its content is a html code. I am showing this
content as a page in a view field to the user, but the user would like to
have the option of saving this report in a file (html) and/or printing
this report. This workflow has to work in midtier also, so OLE is not an
option.

Any ideas?

Thanks and regards,

Roger

You could do a run process passing in the record that contains the html in a
char field. Then have the program log into remedy, pull that field and dump
its contents to a file. You could then either email that file to the user
or re-attach it to the record in question (attachment field) and then use
normal Remedy workflow to give them the file.

I think I'll try other possible direct approaches. I will keep this
as a last option.
 Thanks,
