IE 9 and 10 users getting Javascript error with Midtier 7.6.4 SP5 "Caught exception: Object doesn't support property or method 'getProxyGlobalFields' - RESOLVED

2014-02-13 Thread pascale . sterrett
Hi all,

Our issue is finally resolved with the recent Hot Fix and a new
ClientCore.js provided to us last Thursday. Thorough testing on our side
was conclusive.
We are just waiting on final explanation on what exactly was fix in the
ClientCore.js that did the trick.

Thank you,

2013-12-16 Thread Hodgdon, Paul
We are running 7.6.04 SP2 and users cannot log into Remedy with Chrome v30.
Chrome v27 still works fine. Anyone know what changed in the most recent
versions or what setting is not allowing users to log in?

It might be that IE is still the corporate standard out there. I find that IE

better things like Chrome.
It would be good if "private Brian" sorry - BMC could follow the lead and

While it's not specific to your current issue also be aware that 8.1 Mid Tier
is less compatible with Chrome as well. There are quite a few things that
don't render correctly on my hybrid ARS 8.1/ITSM 7.6.4 environment (but oddly
seems to work better on my ARS and ITSM 8.1 environment.) Hopefully as a
private organization BMC can devote the right resources to making their product
compatible with what is the most widely used web browser since early 2012.

While they're at it, hopefully they can hire some Android developers too and
make that the leading platform for their mobile products since it overtook iOS
quite some time ago. Not supporting Chrome irritates our I.T. staff and users,
while not having a clean Android interface or a timely release schedule for
their Android versions of mobile products irritates management that are
potentially interested in things like Mobility or MyIT.

Midtier 7.6.4 on Windows 7

2011-08-31 Thread John Baker
Hello,

Forget the installer. Download Tomcat 6, download the Midtier war file, install
Tomcat, put war file in Tomcat/webapps, copy native libs to Windows/System32 if
it crashes as you try to login to the Midtier configuration page.

You don't need Apache HTTPd.

Midtier 7.6.4 on Windows 7

2011-08-31 Thread Koyb P. Liabt
When I try to install Midtier on windows 7 I get an ("Invalid Tomcat
installation folder") error.

The AR Server is installed and functioning.
I have tried to reinstall.
I have moved the ARSystemInstalledConfiguration.xml file.
I have tried with and without Apache Tomcat installed.
Is there something in the ARSystemInstalledConfiguration.xml file that I can
just edit?
Also the install does not seem to be able to detect that the Apache HTTP server
is installed

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,
TekkyTommy

2011-08-30 Thread Michael
Hi,

We are using that exact setup here at the moment, and other than the
normal 'bugs' of midtier, we are not experiencing any issues. By
'bugs' I mean the stuff that BMC has to hotfix.

We are on a load balanced system with 2 midtier and 2 ar servers,
both our ARservers are 7.6.03(as is our ITSM Suite), our midtier is
now Version 7.6.04 SP1.

Re: Tomcat 6 & MidTier 7.6.4

2011-06-21 Thread Matt Reinfeldt
Christie,

It is fairly common for the CPU and Memory usage to increase right after
restarting tomcat as it loads all the forms and workflow definitions into
cache. Depending on what you have installed, this should even out after a
short time (varies, so I can't give you an estimate as to actual length).

If it doesn't settle down, check the tomcat logs to see what it is busy with
and take it from there.

Good luck,

Matt

When I got rid of the Close Window Action (in an Active Link), this error
went away.

I'm also getting a Caugh exception:Permission denied error when a

I haven't gotten rid of that action, but I bet when I do, I won't see this

We just updated to Midtier 7.6.4 from 7.5 p4 (we are still on AR Server 7.5 p4).

Is anyone else experiencing this? (see below)

I'm getting a Caught exception:Object doesn't support this Property or method.

When I got rid of the Close Window Action (in an Active Link), this error went
away.

I'm also getting a Caugh exception:Permission denied error when a
"PERFORM-ACTION-EXIT-APP" action is performed.

I haven't gotten rid of that action, but I bet when I do, I won't see this
error anymore.

Of course this wasn't happening with 7.5 p4

Re: Midtier 7.6.4

2011-06-08 Thread Kemes, Lisa
I think the culprit is my PERFORM-ACTION-OPEN-URL $URL$ action that I'm running
before I do a Close Window or PERFORM-ACTION-EXIT-APP. When I get rid of this
action, Close Window and PERFORM-ACTION-EXIT-APP does just fine.

Still looking into this

Re: MidTier 7.6.4 & Cache Setting

2011-06-03 Thread Jason Miller
The way I understand it for newer Mid-Tiers (7.5 patch 4 and greater I
think) is that a value of 0 for the "Definition Change Check Interval" means
the AR definitions will be checked each time the form is accessed through
the browser. This works great on a development system in combination with
the Dev Studio "Open in Browser" feature (new in 7.6.03). For a production
system you would want to set it fairly high since the Form and Active Link
definitions should be pretty static.

Re: MidTier 7.6.4 & Cache Setting

2011-06-03 Thread David Durling
Christie,

I'm on 7.5, so it might be different. I might have kept the original settings,
which differ in that:

Definition Change Check Interval: 3600
Also, Enabled Cache Persistence is checked

The 7.5 doc says to put a value greater than 0 for the interval; so I wonder if
the 0 in your setting just resorts to a default of 1 hour.

Re: MidTier 7.6.4 & Cache Setting

2011-06-03 Thread Shelston, Patrick
We have had problems in the past where flushing/syncing does not work
completely

In that case we had to shutdown Apache Tomcat and then manually clear
the cache directory (%appdir%/midtier/cache).

Good luck.

MidTier 7.6.4 & Cache Setting

2011-06-02 Thread Pargeter, Christie :CO IS
Hi All - I have recently built an ARS 7.6.4 environment and when I
change some code (active links or form definitions) I can't seem to make
my Dev MidTier server to see the changes. I have to wait over an hour
to see these changes. What do people have for the Cache settings? I am
currently at

Definition Change Check: 0 Seconds
Perform Check: Yes
Update Flashboard Definitions: 86400 seconds
Resource Check: 86400 seconds
Enabled Cache Persistence: Unchecked

What should I change so I can actually see my changes within a timely
manner?

ARS 7.6.4
MidTier 7.6.4
IIS 7.5
Tomcat 6.0.20
Windows 2008 64 Bit
