Re: Oncall notification systems
Thad, We have a solution called Beacon. It is ARS-Driven and may be "plugged" into any ARS solution or used as stand-alone. Whether it is an emergency or a routine call out to a support tech we can guarantee delivery and receipt. Additionally we can roll delivery to multiple users, customize/tailor the text-to-speech delivery to your requirements and can pass notification to virtually any device you might want. Contact me off-list if you'd like a demonstration? http://www.buoyantsolutions.net/beacon.html Regards Gidd Calden BUOYANT SOLUTIONS, INC. Does anyone have suggestions of other products to investigate for this type of functionality? This is a very early exploratory question to the list, so I don't have any hard requirements yet - just looking for options. Re: Oncall notification systems
Thanks, I will check that out. I think they are looking more for acknowledgement of paged out incidents and escalation of notifications until a human does acknowledge. Re: Oncall notification systems
We have been using HipLink for years. We have built all of our on call workflow within Remedy and only use HipLink for the notification piece (SNPP/SMTP). One really nice feature is that you can have a fall back method. We used to have a modem in case our server's network connection was lost. If the pages started failing using SNPP it would switch to the modem.
