Axton,
Thanks. I got a reply back from support that noted the file was used for
upgrade and was inadvertantly added to the the files directory.

This is part of the upgrade installer. It is used to upgrade the db from
previous releases. If you are simply patching your install, there is no need
to include this file in your install base. There were some issues with the
previous arupora in relation to direct sql workflow that was (supposedly)
corrected in this release. I didn't see the defect id in the release notes,
but hey, who knows. I think I have 5 or so defect ids that were stated to be
corrected in this patch release, but none of them are in the release notes.

Anyone have any info concerning the file arupora? We are running 6.3
unpatched on Solaris with Oracle 9.2.
The documentation shows the following:
UNIX and Linux - arserverd, libarjni63.* , arealdap.*, ssoldap.*,
ardbcldap.*, Flashboard.*,
libarflib.*, libwebservice.*, libarxmlutil.*, arupdb2,
arupinf, arupora, arupsyb
I see the file in the /server/solaris/ora_db directory with
arserverora. The documentation address arservora with the following line.
4) Rename the server binary to arserverd.
Oracle -- mv arservora arserverd
I don't see anything in the documentation concerning arupora and where
the file needs to go or what file it should replace.
Thanks,
Dave
