Re: Employees clocking in and out
** Years ago whenI was at University of Oklahoma, I created a form that stored timestamp of login and logout. Every login created a new record, every logout found the last record and set the exit time. I then had my student employees login to Remedy as soon as the came on shift and log out when they went off shift. Not fancy but it worked. IF the people you are tracking don't do Remedy as a standard part of there day you could do an end user form that they put in their name or employee id then click "Clock In" or "Clock Out" and have that do the same idea. Re: Employees clocking in and out
Thanks, Kelly, We use a similar system. The trouble is they come in and turn on their computer, and it takes a couple minutes for it to warm up before they can log in. Then at the end of the day they log off, then have to shut down their computer before they can leave, and they aren’t getting paid for the time that their computer is starting and stopping. We have been just adding an extra three minutes onto the time worked, but now we are interested in exploring other possibilities. Re: Employees clocking in and out
Dwayne, Most time systems use a standard RDBMS. If you are yet to pick a time card system, I would suggest picking one that can be installed on the same type of database that your ARS is on so that reading the contents of the time system data would not be more complicated than it should be.. What sort of integration are you looking for? I'm guessing assignment of tickets based on if the employee has already clocked in? If it is something like that it may involve writting a DB trigger or a stored proceedure from the time card database to update ARS.. Hope this helps..
