To: arslist@arslist.org Hi Cecil, It doesn't work with windows loaded as when the window is loaded the form is blank there is no value in the Manager login field, I use this field value to trigger the search again to get the email address of the manager which is present in his profile. I have attached the form image. when I run search on a users profile (Its a view form of CTM:People) I able to fetch all the values except the managers email, managers email would be present in his profile .. so I use the manager's login name on the user's profile to run a new search and populate the value.. Re: Triger a Filter using an Active link.
Have you considered doing the lookup in a filter triggered on the get entry event? You should be able to do your set fields lookup here and the results should be displayed when you view the request. Re: Triger a Filter using an Active link.
You can use the Service action in an Active Link to trigger the firing of Filters. Re: Triger a Filter using an Active link.
If you're running ARS 7.5/7.6, the active link service action calls filters with the execute on set to Service. Can't you do this with an active link using the Window Loaded execute on condition. Then have an active link that does the set field? -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arslist@ARSLIST.ORG] On Behalf Of Adarsh Padwalkar Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2011 11:30 AM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Triger a Filter using an Active link.
