[AsburyPark] 2 Waterfront Redevelopment Plans
I notified the NJDEP, which authorized the CAFRA permit, that I had verified that the City submitted the June 5, 2002 plan with its application for the permit. This version of the plan was recently disavowed by the City, thus, its CAFRA permit is based upon one plan, but the redevelopment is taking place subject to another version. I have just received notification from the investigator for NJDEP that it has in fact confirmed my allegations and that it arranging a meeting with the City over this matter. I assume it will possibly amount to NJDEP substituting the plan the City now maintains is its official plan. This is like a three card monte game on a city sidewalk. Keep your eye on the Ace. Yahoo! Thank you for posting this beautiful piece. For those not familiar with Mr. Wilson's Body of Work, please read the link provided. For those who are, August has gone on, but he leaves a legacy for us to continue to enjoy. -Sorry, I haven't been here long enough to know that. Lived here 13, Neptune, 20 and So. Belmar 1-1/2 yrs, but 35 here in Monmouth County. Since Asbury is not going to do it, I think that a group of us should start a center or school where children of color and other, can come and learn about themselves. It does no good to sit here and type out these diatribes. It can begin with one! A journey of a thousand miles begins with 1 step. If you'd like, we can talk about it. I'm not for blaming anyone, because when we come together, we make a difference! I know the young lady, that is trying to get some peace in her neighborhood. I knew her as a kid, growing up in Neptune. Life deals you a hand. It's how you play your hand, that decides the winner. I get so sick of hearing people complain, rather than act. I don't mean you. There aren't enough around, like you, who care, but if we come together and give those kids a couple of hours a week, with something to look forward to, we can make a difference. Why teach them things that won't benefit them in the work field later in life. They should ask these children what they would like to learn and make that a part of the educational system. Instead of the history of people who aren't their ancestors, unless they want to be historians. Please give us a break and teach them the real history of this planet,and not just blacks came here as slaves. [AsburyPark] New Jersey Music Hall of Fame
If you were to ask musicians from the State of New Jersey if they'd rather see a New Jersey Hall of fame in the Meadowlands and having some kind of music museum as a side show or have a New Jersey Music Hall of Fame located in Asbury Park, dedicated to the talent from the Garden State that the world celebrates, I wonder what they would choose?
