start be enforcing whatever ordinance are on the books now

Then start by attacking some problems with all those affrodable housing dollars
that the city
collected these years and those that should be due from the Partners. Where's
the plan.

Then what do you do about the people getting murdered and the murders that are
not
homeless?

Perhaps it was the wind. Sat night the beach looked clean. We have a
new beach cleaning machine.

Also, what's the deal with only one lifeguard on the beach on
weekends? Is this normal? We moved away for about a year, so
missed
last summer, but two years ago there was always a lifeguard on the
beach near convention hall. Perhaps it's just too early to pay
someone
when few are swimming. Does anyone know?

June 28 I believe the lifeguards start at all beaches 7 days/week.

I don't think anyone suggests that we shirk our social

importantly, many of these services start shipping clients into the
faciltiies. It is one thing to take care of your own town's problem,
and even pick up some of the outside area's problems, but it is
another to become a dumping ground. Furthermore, the self-policing
of these faciltiies is many times not sufficient. First hand
experience look at what goes on many times at Trinity's lunch. It is
a problem.

Dear Friends:

Last year on July fourth a new born was horribly desposed of in a garbage
can at the Long Branch Train station. This caused much grief and shock in
the residents of Long Branch.

Rev. Kevin Brown, local minister and activist was so heart broken that he
refrained from civic activisim the entire summer. One thing he did
however, was approach the City Council and plea on behalf of the unknown newborn
for compassion.

Police Investigation were unable to identify who did this and whom the
mother of this unwanted child was. Rev. Brown took it upon himself, to
adopt informally this little girl. Having three daughters and three
granddaughters of his own he asked the City Council to ceremonially grant a
name. By Long Branch Resolution Rev Brown named the child "Baby
Independence." and within the same resolution declared July Parent Awareness
Month.

Rev. Brown is planning a one year birthday celebration for Baby
Independence. A local merchant is allowing his lot for the party.
This will be on the day she apparently was born, Tuesday July 4. There
will be a BBQ and drinks and special activities, music, hot dogs, treats and the
theme in keeping with the resolution will be Family Home. There will
be a Service of Memory for Baby Independence led by adoptive father Rev. Kevin
Brown.

Today's release is to inquire to all for volunteers to help with the
festivities. The Theme of family opens and opportunity for Family Based
organizations to either donate or lend a hand. The co - theme of Home will
also provide an opportunity for anti eminent domain abuse organizations to
participate.

The location for the First Birthday of Baby Independence will be Lower
Broadway, Long Branch. One block from the beach. Food and beverages
will be included and beer and wine for a minimal additional.

So Far in addition to Rev. Kevin Brown, we are planning on having
Assembleman Steve Corredemous attend, for his work in Safe Haven Awareness in
the Legislature. Mr. Bruce Mac Cloud, Mr. Lou Anzalone and Mrs. DeLuca for
their courage as survivors of eminent domain abuse and being great parents to
their own children. Others are being thought about as this
progresses. Feel free to suggest a name.

Rev. Kevin Brown is extending an invitation to all. To help in the
Celebration of the short moment of life for this precious little soul Baby
Independence.

Pre sale tickets are available for a donation of $20.00 and checks should
be made out to Lighthouse Mission and mailed to PO Box 308, Long Branch, New
Jersey, 07740. Tickets post July 1 will be $35.00.

Ticket includes all festivities, all food and perfect seating for the Fire
works display planned by Ocean Fest 2006 at Pier Village. The Party
location is one block from the ocean development. Mr. Paul Panday,
chairman of the Lower Broadway Property Owners Association is the co-chair of
the Birthday Party Committee.

All interested parties and individuals can call Rev. Brown at
732.222.6224.

Tickets are available now. Group rates are available seating will be
limited and a rain date will be available.

I don't think anyone suggests that we shirk our social
responsibility. What it is however is an overload on the city. More
importantly, many of these services start shipping clients into the
facilities. It is one thing to take care of your own town's problem,
and even pick up some of the outside area's problems, but it is
another to become a dumping ground.

Doesn't this issue owe its existence to the colossal failure of our
courts, policing and system of incarceration?

In almost every instance the courts exist to tax those caught breaking
any one of an ever growing list of societal taboos; everything from
child predation to the nickel and diming of parking meters, speed
traps, drinking and driving, which now includes operating a bicycle
and ever more ludicrous acts which share one thing in common. How
much money can judge and prosecutor extract from the fool before them?

Clearly this has proven profitable for government treasuries but at an
ever growing cost of greater disrespect for the courts. NIMBY is part
of this but the greater problem is the failure of sentencing to
address the ill health of those caught; shipping them further down the
road is akin to sticking your head more deeply in the sand.

Why not insist government clean its own house and deal with societal
problems?

All of this stuff can only be great for the city. How can you be so
sarcastic? Let me know if I have misunderstood.

As a long time former resident of Asbury, and a soon to be future
home owner and part time resident, I am happy to see the changes that
were waited for but never happened 20 years ago. I am inspired so
much so from my recent visit, that I quickly began to search for a
home so I can visit as often as I can. I want my 4-year-old son to
know this place. I live in FL and care for elderly relatives here in
my home, otherwise I would move full time.

It's good to see that butterfly finally emerge from a rather long and
painful metamorphasis.
