[AsburyPark] Re: Missing Red English Bulldog. Please keep looking

2007-11-18 Thread nferreira2000
Several of us searched and posted flyers for hours yesterday but never
found her. After reading that posting flyers increases the chance of
finding lost pets by 200%, We're going keep posting throughout town

I've attached one version of the flyers in the FILES section. If
anyone has some free time they can spare, PLEASE help us post them!

Thanks,

Nelson

Hi Everyone. I posted earlier in the week about my friend's
   missing
Bulldog, Maxie. I know some people on here offered their help
 in
several ways which was GREATLY appreciated. Unfortunately, I
   haven't
heard anything else since then. I ask that everyone continue
 to
  be
   on
the lookout for Maxie. She is like a family member to my
 friends
   who
own her. They miss her so much. Their remaining bulldog is
   noticeably
depressed as well, having lost Maxie and Smokey who was killed
  by
   the
hit-and-run driver that same night. If anyone sees any
 bulldogs
  in
town, along or being walked by someone, please call my friend
   Anthony
at 201-481-9609. We will be posting additional flyers
 throughout
   town
tomorrow.

Please see the pictures of Maxie in the photo gallery

We are not giving up...

Thanks,

Nelson

[AsburyPark] Re: How do we reduce our deficit?

Actual development, and really making an effort to consider the music tourism
opportunity
that Asbury Park has. Asbury Park could be crafted into a version of Austin TX
if the correct
effort were made. We have, and have always had, a well respected and productive
music
scene. If we let that wane it would be tragic. If we develop it, money could be
made and AP
could regain it's truly unique character. Our proximity to NYC is also a plus
in this scenario.

[AsburyPark] GO BISHOPS!!!

2007-11-18 Thread justifiedright
The APHS Football team is going to play for their section of the State
Championship next Saturday, probably at Rutgers.

They are 9-1, having won 9 straight. An enourmous turn around from
last year when they were 1-9. In their defense, the board of ed last
year acutally let them start the season without having a coach.

Anyway, since APHS hasn't won a title in 23 years and hasn't played
for one in 20, this is historic.

A town gets judged by its football.

Maybe it would be a good idea to go up to Rutgers next weekend to
support them.

It just so happens that Howell is playing the same day at Rutgers for
a Championship in a different sectiton, so I get a 2 for 1.

[AsburyPark] Re: How do we reduce our deficit?

2007-11-18 Thread oakdorf
1. Hope the developers sell out what they have built so the units come onto the
tax rolls.
They may have to concede some in their pricing. People read the paper. They
want a deal
of the century.

2, Come up with a time table for Phase II and III of wesley grove to close the
gap between
cook and oceanfront. The current developer cant build 2 and 3 cause they havent
sold 1.
Time to sell off 2 and 23 to new developers and build entry level units in
phase 2 and
move up a notch in Phase 3. Sell them out. That = revenue. Empty land for the
next 22
years will do zero.

3, Continue the work in CH and Ch. Very, very postive. That brings people.
People bring
business. Business brings people. Continue to book Ch and stick the ponies back
in the
casino.

4. Continue to fight quality of life issues. Housing, crime, etc. and step it
up.

5, Open up the issues of the redevelopment in a public. Encourage the developer
to sell off
their rights in the entire zone so more can be developed OR LEFT ALONE for the
current
proeprty owners to develop, enjoy or sell,

6. Move city hall and sell the land. Office space is needed in AP to bring in
workers etc.
