[AsburyPark] Re: City declares Istar in default.....in APP

Yeah! The Marines are part of the Navy, which my husband served 4 years as a
brown water sailor aboard destroyers which earned him another name, which
Navy veterans know as tin can sailors. The Navy, kiddingly have a saying
that the Marines were formed so that Sailors would have someone to DANCE with!
When speaking in military speak, those who served are referred to as, Soldiers
and Sailors to denote ALL who served. For anyone who has worked for the Navy,
which I have, Marines are understood because they are a PART of the Navy.
There is no Marine Academy; only the Naval Academy and yes, Marines train at
Quantico, VA while the Navy trains at Great Lakes, IL
Technically you were a GI, (government issue), so don't make one part of the
service better because my husband also served in the National Guard. Each
branch serves the entire United States.

I wasn't a soldier, I was a Marine, there is a very very big difference.
I have never bragged about my service. I am PROUD of my service

As well you should be. And thank you for your service to this country. Semper
 Fi.

[AsburyPark] A Respectful Good Bye.

2010-12-19 Thread dapawprint
Hello listmates,

I have been respectfully put in my place as a visitor. I kind of like that,
as this trying to help YOUR city has become a pain in my ass.

I'll visit, sure enough. I'll spend my money on ME and MY enjoyment. No more
donations to the needy, no more support for the City. Oh, well. Best of luck
to you in your future endeavors.

I have been put in my place and that place is NOT Asbury Park.

I am so very sorry for your situation, I attempted to assist, I did my best,
but it was all in vain.

Blissfully yours,

Glenn

Oh, and a parting comment to all of you dedicated City members. You may CLAIM
that you attend the City Council meetings, but DO YOU? As a visitor, I am a
piece of shit, but IF you are there, I never hear about it. You must be the
silent majority. More power to Werner and Maureen! Newbee for President!
