[AsburyPark] Re: governor chris dining in ap
My guess is, he's a (Bruce fan) and a wannabee, as far as Springsteen's music. He used Bruce's music without permission during his campaign, to which Bruce Springsteen issued a statement stating he did NOT support Chris Christie and would he stop using his music! Christie killed me when he issued his infamous statement for citizens to get off the beach in Asbury Park, redefining what I already thought, that 1) he's a bully and 2} he's a bully from his days as a federal prosecutor, who led a vendetta against politician's who were Democrats. In yesterday's Press, all accusations against Sen. Melendez were dropped! Right! Christie uses his Catholicism to get HIS views across, but he's no Christian! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, Lisa Iannucci liannucc@... wrote: Interesting since Bruce seriously dislikes him. [AsburyPark] Occupy Asbury Park/Occupy Bond St. Bar
Somebody has created a Facebook group called Occupy Asbury Park and an event to support OWS called Occupy Bond Street Bar, in which they are going to have prizes and giveaways. OAP's mission statement claims WE HAVE NO LEADER What a joke. This just dilutes the actually OWS movement, which itself is becoming a bit of a joke. We live 1 hour away and all people can come up with is go to a bar, get drunk and get mad at people because it's becoming a trendy thing to do. Ugh... Yahoo! Absolutely. Too many causes dilute the entire movement. Carrying signs that say Tax the Rich don't help much either. Vilifying people because the government blew it with our tax codes isn't going to solve anything. In my opinion, they should be occupying Capital Hill, and the offices of Congress and Senate members. As for Occupy Bond Street...absolutely ridiculous. Here's how that one will go (it's tonight by the way) 1) Get to your nice warm, safe and comfy bar with great comfort food 2) Drink up! 3) Yell about taxes, or the government 4) Drink up! 5) Hey man, we are the 99% 6) Drink up! 7) Stumble home and watch some TV And this is coming from a guy who was initially excited by OWS and supportive of the movement. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, cbrianwatkins@... wrote: OWS had a perfect opportunity to make putting a stop to corporate interests/lobbying that has corrupted the government their message and they blew it Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry -Original Message- From: Hinge hinge98@... Well, I am one the 1% who thinks that OWS, as imperfect as it is, is a good thing. It got the conversation started. I agree completely. I think OWAP and the Bond street thing are just jumping on a bandwagon without thinking before you leap. At least in NYC, they are there 24/7, doing the best they can and getting tons of attention. Sitting around a bar isn't exactly protesting. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, dfsavgny dfsavgny@... wrote: Well, I am one the 1% who thinks that OWS, as imperfect as it is, is a good thing.
