Not only had you spoke at council meetings about AP, but you wrote in the paper and were giving radio interviews, all about that years Asbury Park election. That certainly made a public response to your political claims expected. You also personalized a great deal about people in what you were saying. That prompted me to personalize about you, which I not only regretted, but emailed you twice to apologize for that protion of it. I don't know if you apologized to the folks you personalized about. Mea maxima culpa. Too many Outrages to list (Outrage against the Clearwater Festival here, Outrage and Belittlement for those who objected to Vick's dogfighting, et al.). Apparently like the mercurial Mercutio's curse, a Plague on all our houses. So you're in good company. But I do remember when you called into Maureen's radio program to ask him a question (which he dodged with, I know him. He doesn't like me.) Today, carpetbaggers can have a positive connotation: Many carpetbaggers were involved in corrupt financial schemes, but others helped rebuild the economy in the South and participated in educational and social reform. **Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. Oh thanks for reminding me... Has Frank Pallone brought that money he promised to the West Side Community Center 2 Martin Luther King Birthday's ago? Did he ever return your email about that Asbury quote? No on both counts. Oh I was so wrong to hold him accountable for broken promises to Asbury Park. However will I live with myself that I exposed the lies of Frank Pallone? --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: In a message dated 12/5/2008 4:05:56 P.M. I'll admit I don't know how to solve the de facto segregation remaining in parts of this city now. But I remember being frustrated and pissed off years ago as I watched the exploiters move in to fill the vacuum left by white flight: absentee and slum landlords; poorly staffed and mismanaged urine-smelling homes for those dumped here by the state or county; and corrupt officials. Were you fired up then? Fortunately, we've turned the corner on those problems: most of the exploiters were driven out and replaced by more earnest types moving in. But I don't know if any of those new residents came from Howell. Chill. **Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. Try it now. However will I live with myself that I exposed the lies of Frank Pallone? Yeah, you'll have to live with the fact that for all your exposure of his lies (and the quote you invented), the voters ignored you, apparently felt you had no credibility: Monmouth County Republican Zimmer beat Lautenberg by 18,282 votes in the senate race McCain beat Obama by 12,037 votes But in District 6 (mixed countries), Democrat Pallone won an eleventh term by beating McLeod by 82,037 votes. You gotta work on that credibility thing. I can live with his not returning my email; I won't be petty. Or maybe I was: I ignored all of Pallone's calls for campaign donations and volunteering. All my campaign money and networking went to Obama. **Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. Try it now. Then a real plan and what to with the money so there is a return that can be measured. Giving money for the hell of it or for a photo opp is a waste.
