You are right the monument came a very long way.John Lofferdo had alot to do
with that.Give credit where it is do.That grant money sat for awhile. There was
also the City Enigneers which one of them is a Veteran that help with the
Veterans Park.Recently the some Council members have been ignoring me on the
Library issue.Tony Pisano a fellow Veteran who has pass away told me when they
got that money for the Veterans Park it would take several years they would
sit on it he said.He grew up here slept under the boardwalk growing up they
went off to WWII.Took his 1st girlfriend there he told me alot of stories about
A/P.Alot pictures of A/P in that Veterans building on Lake Ave people would be
surprise.I have letters from the City saying Graffti would be taken off the
building by the City never was Lester from Corbo did it.We just get tired of
promise's from the City & I guess my fellow some of my Veterans have seen so
much in there time growing up here tell me the stories. There is always 2 sides
to every story in life. The Beer is on me Please. All these people everyone is
agueing about Tommy,Werner,Jimmy,& Maureen I know all of them I think they are
all great postive people for Asbury Park.Have respect for all of them. They are
what makes the America Flag that Flys so important.Just like yourself. This is
what America all about in my Eyes.God Bless All of you.

Thank You for your apoojo Concern I apprecatied so do the other Veterans of the
City.I am curouis why the City Manager, Deputy Mayor & Public Works Director
just didn't tell me to go to the Library check with them.I know them all very
well painted the City Manager whole house on the inside.Volunteer work to the
City for free for the Public Works Director I have a Thank You letter from
him.Working with the City at the Present time for parking lot & a Senior Center
I am on the Board for my Veterans.I can keep a eye on the building but the
parking lot would be hard.Would the City maintain it proper?Makes me
wonder. Some city workers really work hard.Look how they maintain other things
in the City over the Past Decade. Some bust there rear end & some sit on there
rear end just like any job if someone lets them.

When is there meetings? Do you or anyone else have a time?
So the City of Asbury Park doesn't maintain the outside grounds?

the library is run by appointees made by mayor and council,it is a
seperarte board or entity, they have their own budget, their own
maintenance staff (patty, one of the hardest workers in the City)who
maintains the bldg. anf grounds. their bd. is made up of great people,
like Doris Carol and others, im sure if you attended one of their
meetings and made your complaint, they would take care of it.
