There are some paths in the sample config file like pid-file and log-file which are not the commonly used paths on fedora - no problem, I just noticed in resolving with my prior config file. The example config file in the doc dir is just for reference. There should be a /etc/mpd.conf or /etc/mpd.conf.rpmnew (if you already had a file there) with the appropriate values for running mpd. You need just to uncomment the line bind_to_address /run/mpd/socket for putting the socket in the /run directory, and set the music directory in mpd.conf. Yes that was one of them - but a mistake on my part - I am used to /var/run but that is /run now so like i said - my mistake. The other is thid: /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/mpd.conf Which would normally be '/var/log/...' Since the default is to log via syslog it does not matter much. Hi Paulo, I have tried to use it on F19. THANKS!! I could not get it to start. It threw a very misleading error - Failed to bind to 'localhost': No such file or directory, but the real reason was that the directory /var/run/mpd was not created. Re: [ATrpms-devel] New mpd available - Part 1
Hi Paulo, If I look at selinux labeling in F19 it looks like the attached picture. See Part 2 I can see that selinux expects the pid and socket file to be in /var/run/mpd I have no audio_home_t, but mpd_data_t Here is my system wide config: music_directory /var/lib/mpd/music playlist_directory /var/lib/mpd/playlists db_file /var/lib/mpd/database pid_file/var/run/mpd/pid usermpd bind_to_address 192.168.0.5 bind_to_address /var/run/mpd/socket port6600 log_level verbose metadata_to_use artist, album, title, track, name, genre, date, composer, performer, disc follow_outside_symlinks yes follow_inside_symlinks yes zeroconf_enabledno input { plugin curl } audio_output { typepulse nameMy Pulse Output sinkalsa_output.pci-_00_14.2.analog-stereo } Which unfortunately does still not work. I can get alsa output to work if I do not mind not beeing able to touch the volume. I have a machine following f19, are the spec-files for f18 in good shape? because if they are I can start to see if they will compile there... probably the reason people use ATrpms is for the good shape of packages, so yes, they are in quite good shape, and while I haven't looked into the major changes in f19, I'm quite confident that they will rebuilt quite fine against current development/19 repos. That is a fact that I can follow 100%, but there are a number of packages that has not been available (compiled) for f18. Among them is gstreamer-plugins-ugly, spamassassin and avidemux. [ATrpms-devel] clamav has security update
Hi, Clamav has had a security update to 0.97.5 The reason for this versions tarball being smaller seems to be that the virus db files are not included any more which seems reasonable. I have thus updated the version in the spec and removed these 2 lines: #%attr(0644,clamav,clamav) %verify(not mtime size md5) /var/lib/clamav/main.cvd #%attr(0644,clamav,clamav) %verify(not mtime size md5) /var/lib/clamav/daily.cvd Hope you will find time for building soon. Re: [ATrpms-devel] clamav released in new version [0.97.3]
On 2011-10-24 05:11, Chris Schanzle wrote: Back to the subject at hand...ClamAV 0.97.3 was released about a week ago...with eight CVE's fixed per Gentoo's Linux Security Advisory GLSA 201110-20 [1] (can't be right...has ancient CVE's in there, but it was forwarded to me from another sysadmin). Regardless of Gentoo's advisory, as an EL5 user, would appreciate seeing a clamav 0.97.3 update soon...thanks! [1] http://www.gentoo.org/security/en/glsa/glsa-201110-20.xml Axel: I just build clamav 0.97.3 for fc15 from spec-file by updating the version number. Chris: I do not promise to keep Clamav updated, neither do I expect Axel to. I am normally alerted to a new version when Clamav alerts in the logfile - they have not done that this time :-( What I have done is to download and install the Clamav source-rpm, and atrpms-rpm-config. The I download the source and signature files from Clamav.net and put them in rpm/SOURCES. I then update the version number in rpm/SPECS/clamav.spec, and run rpmbuild -bb clamav.spec. If I am lucky I end up with a new rpm-file which I then install. All well I then alert Axel of my findings. At some time Axel then schedules a rebuild across all the OS/ARCH combinations, and you can update. [ATrpms-devel] clamav 0.96.2
Hi, I have tried to build (change the spec to above version) the newly released clamav-0.96.2. It builds ok once one adds 'BuildRequires: sendmail-milter', *BUT* here it core dumps once I try to run it. I have tried to get the debug-symbols, and starting clamd in gdb but when started in debugger it does not core dump :-( could be a selinux thing - but I have not found any AVC's that makes the core dump go away. This is f13 and i686. I advice to hold off the update until a patch shows up. Regards, Kim ___ atrpms-devel mailing list atrpms-devel@atrpms.net http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-devel

[ATrpms-devel] nvidia-graphics173.14.09
Hi, I am trying to change the 173.14.05 specfile into a 173.14.09, but I get: + fakebin=/home/kim/rpm/BUILD/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09/fakebin + mkdir /home/kim/rpm/BUILD/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09/fakebin + PATH=/usr/libexec/nvidia-graphics-helpers:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/kim/bin + export PATH + LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr/lib + fakeroot ./nvidia-installer -s -N -e -b --no-runlevel-check --no-rpms --no-x-check --utility-prefix=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr --documentation-prefix=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr --x-prefix=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr --x-library-path=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr/lib --x-module-path=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr/lib/xorg/modules --opengl-prefix=/home/kim/rpm/tmp/nvidia-graphics173.14.09-173.14.09-98.1.fc8-buildroot/usr --log-file-name=user.log --no-kernel-module WARNING: You specified the '--no-kernel-module' command line option, nvidia-installer will not install a kernel module as part of this driver installation, and it will not remove existing NVIDIA kernel modules not part of an earlier NVIDIA driver installation. Please ensure that an NVIDIA kernel module matching this driver version is installed seperately. ERROR: Failure creating directory '/var/lib/nvidia': (Permission denied) ERROR: Installation has failed. Please see the file 'user.log' for details. You may find suggestions on fixing installation problems in the README available on the Linux driver download page at www.nvidia.com. Do I really need to build the rpm as root, when it using fakeroot? TIA, Kim ___ atrpms-devel mailing list atrpms-devel@atrpms.net http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-devel
