[ATrpms-devel] dovecot

2013-11-29 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi Axel,

Here are a version bumped dovecot packages. I could not find SRPMS of
your latest versions so perhaps you should just version bump your
version instead :-(

Thanks Paulo,

Works fine on F19! There are some paths in the sample config file
like pid-file and log-file which are not the commonly used paths on
fedora - no problem, I just noticed in resolving with my prior
config file.

The example config file in the doc dir is just for reference.
There should be a /etc/mpd.conf or /etc/mpd.conf.rpmnew (if you already had
a file there) with the appropriate values for running mpd. You need just
to uncomment
the line

bind_to_address /run/mpd/socket

for putting the socket in the /run directory, and set the
music directory in mpd.conf.

Yes that was one of them - but a mistake on my part - I am used to
/var/run but that is /run now so like i said - my mistake.

The other is thid:
/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/mpd.conf

Which would normally be '/var/log/...'

Since the default is to log via syslog it does not matter much. The
package does contain this, which would be unnecessary:

# rpm -ql mpd

/var/log/mpd
/var/log/mpd/mpd.log

That is definietely a drastic measure. This means we can only drop
anything that requires PyXML to run. e.g. ship mythtv w/ broken
unregistered depednencies. :/

Does mythtv really need PyXML?

I looked at mythtv's bugtracker for pyxml and only foud this closed bug:

You can try mdp as a user, using something as:

music_directory /home/mp3
playlist_directory /home/kim/.mpd/playlists
db_file/home/kim/.mpd/database
log_file /home/kim/.mpd/log
pid_file /home/kim/.mpd/pid
state_file/home/kim/.mpd/state

.

bind_to_address 0.0.0.0 this may help

and just starting mpd (this is how it runs in Mac OS for me).
It should work in linux this way if the selinux labels are wrong.
But maybe F19 has something different.

Anyway, is it working in F19 using /var/run/mpd?

input {
   plugin curl

audio_output {

   nameMy Pulse Output
   sink
  alsa_output.pci-_00_14.2.__analog-stereo

Which unfortunately does still not work. I can get alsa output to
work if I do not mind not beeing able to touch the volume. But
Pulseaudio just gives: {{mpd: output: Failed to open My Pulse

I do NOT think that you can help or is responsible - I just think
that Mpd is somewhat difficult to configure correctly on Fedora (I
had similar problems in F17 :-( )

Re: [ATrpms-devel] New mpd available

2013-07-25 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi Paulo,

I have tried to use it on F19. THANKS!!

I could not get it to start. It threw a very misleading error - Failed to bind to 'localhost': No such file or directory, but the real
reason was that the directory /var/run/mpd was not created.

This in it self has nothing to do with systemd as such, just because Fedora
introduced the empty /var at the same time (tmpfs mounted /var) .

Hope this clears it up?

Kim

Re: [ATrpms-devel] New mpd available - Part 1

2013-07-25 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi Paulo,

If I look at selinux labeling in F19 it looks like the attached picture.
See Part 2

I can see that selinux expects the pid and socket file to be in
/var/run/mpd

I have no audio_home_t, but mpd_data_t

Here is my system wide config:
music_directory /var/lib/mpd/music
playlist_directory /var/lib/mpd/playlists
db_file /var/lib/mpd/database
pid_file/var/run/mpd/pid
usermpd
bind_to_address 192.168.0.5
bind_to_address /var/run/mpd/socket
port6600
log_level verbose
metadata_to_use
artist,album,title,track,name,genre,date,composer,performer,disc

follow_outside_symlinks yes
follow_inside_symlinks yes
zeroconf_enabledno
input {
  plugin curl
}
audio_output {
  typepulse
  nameMy Pulse Output
  sinkalsa_output.pci-_00_14.2.analog-stereo
}

Which unfortunately does still not work. I can get alsa output to work
if I do not mind not beeing able to touch the volume. But Pulseaudio
just gives: {{mpd: output: Failed to open My Pulse Output [pulse]:
failed to connect: Connection terminated}}

I do NOT think that you can help or is responsible - I just think that
Mpd is somewhat difficult to configure correctly on Fedora (I had
similar problems in F17 :-( )

Best regards,
Kim

http://lists.atrpms.net/pipermail/atrpms-devel/2013-June/002979.html

I am having the exact same problem… were you ever able to resolve it? Or do we
need to waiting from an update to the ATrpms repository?

Thanks in advance!

Jim Cornacchia

[ATrpms-devel] avidemux

2013-06-22 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi Axel and Paulo,

I have after MANY attempts managed to get avidemux-2.6.4 to compile and
build :-) at least on f18 and f19.

I assumed all patches was upstreamed, so they are removed.

I had to removed all that has to with languages (%find_lang) as it erred
out.

Many files and directories have changed names ...

Paulo could you try to recompile the package, and possibly also test, to
see if it is sensible what I have done?

If you do not know - neither do I. I removed the build-depend on PyXML -

2013-05-20 Thread Kim Bisgaard

I have a machine following f19, are the spec-files for f18 in good
shape? because if they are I can start to see if they will compile
there...

probably the reason people use ATrpms is for the good shape of
packages, so yes, they are in quite good shape, and while I haven't
looked into the major changes in f19, I'm quite confident that they
will rebuilt quite fine against current development/19 repos.

That is a fact that I can follow 100%, but there are a number of
packages that has not been available (compiled) for f18. Among them is
gstreamer-plugins-ugly, spamassassin and avidemux.

You just too fast - I wanted to send clamav too - but you had done i too

I build for myself updated packages for f16 based on these versions.

If others are interested in doing the same:
yum install atrpms-rpm-config
Getting the Atrpms src.rpm packages for your OS and install them (will
only install the source)
change the version number to fit in the spec-files
downloaded sources (look in the spec-files)
rpmbuild -bb rpm/SPEC/package.spec
yum localinstall package.rpm

For F16 and F17 i think you should add these args [[--with systemd 1]]
to the rpmbuild command, not convinced that atrpms-rpm-config knows what
to default for each OS :-(

[ATrpms-devel] mythtv 0.26 on f17

2013-01-01 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi,

I have been able to build mythtv version 0.26 on f17.

I stated with this src.rpm:
http://dl.atrpms.net/all/mythtv-0.26.0-291.src.rpm

added a line to the spec-file with:
BuildRequires: qtwebkit-devel

and it compiled.

Word of warning though I HAVE NOT INSTALLED the resulting packages yet.
I will probably try at some point - but I have not yet. And I might want
to upgrade to a newer set of upstream sources.

I tried the same on a F18-beta box, but there at too many missing
required packages :-( might find more time later.

The recipe here just in case somebody needs it more that I do.

[ATrpms-devel] new fedora-17 python packages

2012-08-15 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi,

I have been having problems updating to the new python packages in f17,
because PIL and python-MythTV requires /bin/python2.7 (I assume the new
packages provides /usr/bin/python2.7).

I got rid of this problem by just rebuilding PIL from src.rpm - no
update to new version or anything. I have not tried the same with mythtv
src.rpm (too may -devel packages), but assume it will be the same there.

So please rebuild PIL and mythtv for f17.

Kim

[ATrpms-devel] clamav has security update

2012-06-15 Thread Kim Bisgaard

Hi,

Clamav has had a security update to 0.97.5

The reason for this versions tarball being smaller seems to be that the virus db files are not included any more which seems reasonable. I
have thus updated the version in the spec and removed these 2 lines:

#%attr(0644,clamav,clamav) %verify(not mtime size md5) /var/lib/clamav/main.cvd
#%attr(0644,clamav,clamav) %verify(not mtime size md5) /var/lib/clamav/daily.cvd

Hope you will find time for building soon.

clamav 0.97.3 update soon...thanks!

[1] http://www.gentoo.org/security/en/glsa/glsa-201110-20.xml

Axel:
I just build clamav 0.97.3 for fc15 from spec-file by updating the version
number.

Chris:
I do not promise to keep Clamav updated, neither do I expect Axel to. I am normally alerted to a new version when Clamav alerts in the
logfile - they have not done that this time :-(

What I have done is to download and install the Clamav source-rpm, and atrpms-rpm-config. The I download the source and signature files from
Clamav.net and put them in rpm/SOURCES. I then update the version number in rpm/SPECS/clamav.spec, and run rpmbuild -bb clamav.spec. If I
am lucky I end up with a new rpm-file which I then install. All well I then alert Axel of my findings. At some time Axel then schedules a
rebuild across all the OS/ARCH combinations, and you can update.

Thanks! Actually many of the planned changes just popped up during
package builds, e.g. there was no real planning, but we'll get there. :)

The place to look for upcoming changes in Fedora is

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/16/FeatureList

originally supposed to be systemd w/o any legacy initscripts, but the
time constraints were to stringent).
I have a machine with f16-beta now, and I have looked at the f16-src

[ATrpms-devel] clamav 0.96.2

2010-08-13 Thread Kim Bisgaard

 Hi,

I have tried to build (change the spec to above version) the newly
released clamav-0.96.2. It builds ok once one adds 'BuildRequires:
sendmail-milter', *BUT* here it core dumps once I try to run it.

I have tried to get the debug-symbols, and starting clamd in gdb but
when started in debugger it does not core dump :-( could be a selinux
thing - but I have not found any AVC's that makes the core dump go away.

This is f13 and i686.

I advice to hold off the update until a patch shows up.

Regards,
Kim

 Hi,

Could we please have a version update clamav to version 0.95.2 -
 according to
 http://www.h-online.com/security/Clam-AV-update-fixes-archive-bug--/news/113556

there are security fixes in the upgrade.

I do not send a spec file as the previous spec builds just fine by just
 updating the version number.

Thanks for pinging, I had queued it into the build system some time
ago after reading this mail, but I forgot to answer it. :/

Yes I saw the update - thanks for all the good work you do 8-)

[ATrpms-devel] new spec file for nvidia-grapthics180.18

2008-12-30 Thread Kim Bisgaard

This is the beta version with libvdpau in it - definitely bleeding.

I have removed a uninstall command and added include and libraries for
vdpau, otherwise it a 177.80 spec file.

There is also a 177.82 upgrade on nvidias site, but since its just to
update the spec's version I have not included it here.

Thanks,
Kim

The NVIDIA Accelerated Linux Driver Set brings both accelerated 2D
functionality and high performance OpenGL support to Linux x86 with
the use of NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs).

These drivers provide optimized hardware acceleration of OpenGL
applications via a direct-rendering X Server and support nearly all
NVIDIA graphics chips. TwinView, TV-Out and flat panel displays are
also supported.

This package includes NVIDIA module for X11 and OpenGL libraries.
Older RIVA 128 based video cards are supported by the server module
shipping with xorg/XFree86, nv_drv.o.

You must also install a matching %kmdl_namepure rpm, if you want to
utilize these drivers.

Add
 ModulePath %{_x_module_path}/extensions/nvidia
 ModulePath %{_x_module_path}/extensions
 ModulePath %{_x_module_path}
to `Section Files' in the config file and remove/comment the dri module.

Do I really need to build the rpm as root, when it using fakeroot?
