Hey guys running here this weeks podcast its Friday Ive been having in seeing crazy week theres didn’t snowstorms and kids home from school orchid home from school alright so I am completely up we scheduled true but right now five-year-old downstairs watching TV I told my mom had to get some work done so well see if we get interrupted today it didnt I actually did impose on the block last night Im I could be a feeling kind at a bit I don’t know its its it just started thirty weeks tomorrow Im I cant Im just in that lasts phase pregnancy where I just feel balls and I just uncomfortable and I think its affecting me its affecting me more emotionally thane really would like to admit Im say anyway going into it %uh the right post last night but honestly I just passed Turbo Force out on the couch naked my body needs is sleep so I posted every night bites a arrest being a giveaway and then it with my head on a pillow nice outreach going back today 11:00 sorry and I miss today called a sick day well it bitch but I really dont want amiss Im youre going to miss podcast a we have lost great questions to get to you sorry and something you Im and I need to get this in before 25 year old times pounding on the door and after this recording a video for free buy some super excited and yes ninety about snow day that was that I get to involve him in a lot %uh my work its really about 30 percent involving him in city person I needs focused so its a little bit hard to manage when hes home all day all because I have so many balls in their right now especially with the conference in just got off the phone yet pregnancy conference nursery if you can tell my office is a little bit organized differently.http://musculodieta.com/URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=173010#p173010

shuteye: a number of valuable points there. while I dont totaly agree with the books view(booksre not always real life) I absolutely agree with the other things. yes, the so called selfpitty (no offence to anybody) arices because we feel that we are not, or, cant, contribute positively to anything, and also, many times, especially, if were not forceful and demanding in nature, our contributionsre overlooked by the sighted community.  one of the solutions is, of course, to forcefully take the credit where it belongs. Another option for the panning if you want to still be able to pan other sounds while changing their volume, say like if you were doing a sidescroller with random panned ambience, is to use the play_custom_stationary method, I might be a bit off on the name, which lets you choose a starting pan for the sound. In many other religions, you have one single language in which you are praying. For those of you learning programming who arent entranced with the mental math part of this, a fun challenge is to write a program that can solve these puzzles. I suspect my solution is extremely sub-optimal, so Im not going to share my work. But I feel like there is an easy, clever solution out there somewhere that Im not finding, and this is going to bother me for the rest of the day. Are the problems hard-coded into the game, or are they generated on the fly, I wonder? I think Id have to agree about the friendship thing. Ever since moving out of my parents house and into the apartment building where I currently live, I have created a circle of friends around me. This building is part of a nonprofit organization called Center for Independent Futures, see previous posts of mine. I frequently hang out with one or more of the neighbors in my apartment for a casual conversation, and its always so much fun. We also have a mandatory weekly meeting where we all just check in with one another, and where any important announcements are made. We also plan building activities at these meetings. But in addition, there are often activities here involving other friends of mine in the organization. I am always included in these activities. Whether or not I always attend is a different story though, which goes back to the orientationmobility issue. The locations for some of these activities have recently been changed, and I therefore can

@Slj, regarding game of thrones I cant make any suggestions with the Tv series sinse I like to see what my sight can get from the pictures so dont hunt around for just audio descriptions, though of course dvds that have the both like doctor who are always welcome. Im actually watching the game of thrones series with my brother on dvd, actually sinse hes got a full home cinema system with a massive projector and speakers its very cool even though were not able to watch much of the series as a time due to having to meet up to do it. @Violinist, interesting thoughts and there are some series there Ive not read. Regarding donaldson, I actually did a review of wizards first rule for fantasybookreview.co.uk. I have only read the six books of the series and not his recent offerings, ie the first and then second chronicles of thomas covenant. There was a lot I liked, but a great deal I didnt as well. For example I l
 oved the world and its description, I also loved the description of societies like the radhamaral (sorry if Im misselling), and everyday use of magic, but hated the fact that for all the long emotional conflicts people went through (especially covenant)all they ended up doing was slinging fireballs. but didnt think much to donaldsons dialogue, likewise I found covenant himself a pretty painful character to read both because of his own behaviour and because of the thinking behind him, that enduring tragedies in life makes someone a complete and utter git who cant even be civil without subscribing to massive mental anguish, indeed I sort of hated the way everyone was bent on being nice to covenant however much of an utter bastard he was and he just wandered around repeating dont tuch me or grunting in monosillables. There was a lot of good in the series, the poetry, the descriptive writing both of good and bad things, but there wa
 s also a huge amount I disliked, indeed I gave wizards first rule a ddead center 5-10, sinse while it had some fantastic elements it took a lot of wading through rubbish to get to those. Regarding earthsea, well in traditional style the rnib over here have only done up to book 4. I really enjoyed books 1-3, especially the second, it was a little humourless and overly serious but was beuatifully written in terms of world, philosophy and characters. The 4th book however just put me streight off. Written later in her career when leguin had picked up dismal feminism, much of tehanu seemed a very depressing rant about womens place in society and the fact women have no power other than having children. Indeed a good friend of mine who is a huge earthsea fan and loved the first three books said she threw the fourth at a wall when she read it and refused to do more. In general Leguin seems to have fallen into the same sort of trap goodkind fell into, using bo

Regarding dresden, well I enjoyed the books for a bit of fun, but disliked dresden himself, not because of his sarcasm but because he was so dam sexist. INdeed I am not sure myself whether jim butcher is sexist or whether butcher is specifically writing a sexist character. @jgeek: if youre still looking, I cant say enough good things about dreamwidth.org. Its based on the old LJ code, before it got annoying and stupid. The default layout could use some access work, but its fully configurable, so you can switch to a minimal layout and disable all of the sidebars and other crap, without losing any functionality. They dont run any advertising, so no worries there. Most of the people Ive interacted with in that community have even gone to the trouble of giving their user icons alt-text that actually describes the image. From the front page of the website, it really looks like theyre targeting artists and painters, but I havent been made to feel unwelcome even though Im not an artist. I think Id have to agree about the friendship thing. Ever since moving out of my parents house and into the apartment building where I currently live, I have created a circle of friends around me. This building is part of a nonprofit organization called Center for Independent Futures, see previous posts of mine. I frequently hang out with one or more of the neighbors in my apartment building for a casual conversation, and its always so much fun. We also have a mandatory weekly meeting where we all just check in with one another, and where any important announcements are made. We also plan building activities at these meetings. But in addition, there are often activities here involving other friends of mine in the organization. I am always included in these activities. Whether or not I always attend is a different story though, which goes back to the orientationmobility issue. Sometimes I have other conflicts too, so Im not in attendance. But the locati
 ons for some of these activities have recently been changed, and I therefore cant go to them unless one of my friends is with me or Im able to book a trip on paratransit. But I have thoroughly enjoyed being included in these activities over the years.Id also like to go back to the point about sighted people asking questions of us. Im one who generally doesnt mind answering these questions. After all, people are curious about the ways in which I accomplish things. However, there is one acquaintance of mine who has this annoying habit of repeatedly asking me questions about other friends of mine which are of a rather personal nature. I am calling this person an acquaintance because he is, for lack of a better term, a nuisance. For instance, he has previously called me on the phone just to ask these questions about 2 friends of mine who have cerebral palsy. I am rather uncomfortable answering, and I have in fact told him that on numerous occasions.&
 nbsp; Ive also reported him to staff members here, and theyve talked with him. Yet he continues to do this. One of the questions he asks is how these 2 other guys go to the bathroom. This is honestly getting to the point of harassment, if it isnt there already. Reversing gears a bit here, my life-skills tutor and I recently saw another sighted friend from this organization while waiting at a bus stop and we immediately struck up a conversation. This friend has some disabilities. He happened to get on the same bus, so we continued the conversation. One of his questions to me was how I became blind. I could tell by the pause that followed that my tutor was a bit uncomfortable with this, and then our friend immediately apologized to us. I like the sounds of the card list fixes sinse while I tried the old game and had no trouble with the mouseovers, I always had problems telling whos cards in play were whos, which made learning the game a bit difficult especially when there were so many cards to choose from.Ill see if I get on better with the newer layout you mention sinse I expect that knowing how many cards in play rather than wandering through five different copies of the same fire imp will help a lot. It is a 99 cent purchase from the App store I believe.Either way, youre in deep space, and aliens are coming after you. You will hear the alien ships in different stereo positions, very similar to how you would in a game like Troopanum, for example. As I said, you need to avoid the ships... so put them on the left or right channel, but not in both. To avoid them, you must tilt your device to move your ship. Tilting the device a little bit will make you move slower, tilting it a bit more moves you quicker, and holding it strait will keep you going strait. And holding it strait is no easy m
 atter! Its relatively sensitive so sometimes I end up going back and forth, which is not really a good strategy. Actually Ive discovered that the ships have to be relatively close to center to hit you, but all the same, if you lose control, it is extremely easy to get hit! One hit and its game over.The game has different levels, each lasting about a minute. Some levels have different themes. For example, the game gradually picks up pace, then in one of the levels, announces that it will let you relax a bit. True to its word, it slows down some and then picks back up again. In another level, it announces that the number of objects has been doubled, but the speed is decreased. Obviously this allows you time to maneuver your way through the mine field... it really gives you a sense that you are on a mission instead of in an arcade.You can also collect shield power-ups which give you an extra hit. You can have up to two shields at once. Once you have collec
 ted two shields, the shields will stop appearing and will only start again when you start losing them. Dont think youre safe just because you have three shields... in later levels, the ships can come in groups of three at a time. Well you cant, but you can definitely hear it. When you get a game over, you will be told your score. your score is measured in how long you were able to survive. Hi all,Im surprised to see absolutely nothing on the forum about this game. The only reason I know about it is from Apple Vis I believe. If I just missed something, I apologize, though I probably wouldve made this post anyway because I feel its worth writing about.Echo here to Play is a game for IOS where you tilt the device to avoid incoming ships. It is a 99 cent purchase from the App store I believe.Either way, youre in deep space, and aliens are coming after you. You will hear the alien ships in different stereo positions, very similar to how you would in a game like Troopanum, for example. As I said, you need to avoid the ships... so put them on the left or right channel, but not in both. To avoid them, you must tilt your device to move your ship. Tilting the device a little bit will make you move slower, tilting it a bit more moves you quicker, and holding it strait will keep you going strait. And holding it strait is no easy m
 atter if youre trying to play it in the air! Its relatively sensitive so sometimes I end up going back and forth, which is not really a good strategy. My tip would be to play the game sitting down with your hands about an inch above your lap. Also... and I call this cheating... if you have to go strait for a while, just put your device on a table. I call it cheating because youre letting something else hold the device strait. for me, thats part of the challenge of the game.Ive discovered that the ships have to be relatively close to the center to hit you, but all the same, if you lose control, it is extremely easy to get hit! One hit and its game over.The game has different levels, each lasting about a minute. Some levels have different themes. For example, the game gradually picks up pace, then in one of the levels, announces that it will let you relax a bit. True to its word, it slows down some and then picks back up again. In anothe
 r level, it announces that the number of objects has been doubled, but the speed is decreased. Obviously this allows you time to maneuver your way through the mine field... it gives you a sense that you are on a mission instead of in a mindless arcade.You can also collect shield power-ups which give you an extra hit. You can have up to two shields at once. Once you have collected two shields, the shields will stop appearing and will only start again when you start losing them. Dont think youre safe just because you have two shields... in later levels, the ships can come in groups of three at a time. At least once, I have gotten hit with three ships in a row, and didnt have time to adjust myself. Thats the only real gripe I have about the game, but its not like you cant see it coming. Well you cant, but you can definitely hear it. When you get a game over, you will be told your score. your score is measured in how long you were able to 
 survive. My top score is like 12:20 or something like that. I recently had to restore my device so I lost that information.The chalenging part about this game is that early on, you will have to master maneuvering your way around and in between ships. Going around them isnt too hard, you can just keep moving back and forth between the left and right sides of the playing field. But the real fun comes in when you have two, three, and four aliens on the screen at once and have only a few seconds and a very precise, calm hand to find a hole in between them.The game is very musical sounding, I can tell the sound designers had some knowledge of music when they were working on this game. Ive actually used my musical ear to tell me whats happening more than my audio gaming instincts... both are good to have in this game. The musician in me often can make decisions quicker because I can more easily decipher whats going on without being focused on individual

All the same you do not have to be a musician to be good at this game.You can adjust several gameplay options, the one option that is very important in my opinion is the player position anouncement. By default, it is set to borders... basically you hear a sound on the left and right sides. I dont particularly like it because I think it is too quiet, I instead use the center option. It puts a sound in the center and then you can hear your ships position in relation to the center. One thing you have to remember with the center option is that if the center sound is on your right,, for example, it actually means that you are on the left side of the field. The reason the center locator sound plays on your right is because the center of the field is actually to your right. Its easier to understand if you put it in physical space; imagine a line going from left to right and a point fixed at the center of that line, with another point free to m

Chandu: youre absolutely right about books not being real life. What I was getting at is that descriptions of scenes, body language, etc are taken from what the author sees on a daily basis in real life. Youll have better luck getting such information from genres like adult fiction or straight up nonfiction because they tend to be based more on the real life world of today or the not too distant past. Why bother to reinvent the body language / interpersonal relationship description wheel when you dont have to? I also wanted to add that Ive done extensive social experimentation in the area of eye contact and Ive discovered that Im treated a lot more normally when I slap on a good pair of sunglasses. This has the effect of unconsciously tricking the sighted into thinking youre making eye contact with them when you are not in fact doing so. However, when finding a good pair of shades, I recommend bringing a trusted sightie your own age with y
 ou to the store as you want to find glasses that will properly fit your face. My face for example is narrower so a pair of aviators would look stupid on me. The same goes for clothing. You may have clothes that you love wearing and are comfortable in, but if you want people to treat you like youre one of them, youre going to have to make some consession to fashion and style. Thats not to say you need to wear all expensive brand names all the time, but you will need to find clothes that fit properly, etc. For example, these days the trend in jeans is that they are tight (not super tight, but more form fitting, avoid super skinny jeans of course  . If you go to Costco and grab their bulk Kirkland jeans that fit more loosely, youre going to come off not looking like most others who wear jeans. Sighted people will immediately notice when you start taking pride in you

Hello everyone.Recently, I decided to try out cheat engine, since I can no longer use game cheator since Im running windows 8. Game cheater can use already existing tables, but it cannot search for new values.I saw on various forums around here that cheat engine was accessible, so I decided to give it a try. With the latest version, everything seems to work fine, except when I have two different values added to the list. It is seen as one value by NVDA. Example, when tabbing to the list it might say something like, health, money, ammo. Rather than showing them as individual items that I can navigate to and interact with. I download cheat engine 5.4 as well to try that, but I cant find the open process button. Thanks for the suggestion. I just registered on the site and it seems great in terms of accessibility in both Safari and Google Chrome with VoiceOver. One thing I especially like is the text-based CAPTCHAs they use! However, I still have yet to receive an email confirmation of my registration. There is a bug that occurs where you cant solve some the puzzle.. It usually happens, if it does, in the first like 4 or 5 puzzles. When your time runs out, it shows the answer but only 1 thing is marked. You can almost solve the puzzle, like the sollution is 1 number away from being right though.Also my favorite game in the game center is the batting game.
