accessible space invaders game audio tips, coding tips

hi. well, some sighted friends will be developing images, audio clips and background music. hope to get them by friday. did find a space invaders game engine and a accessibility extension for the _javascript_ canvas. question, should i have menus, like check speakers, exit, play game, then sub menus, like beginner, intermediate, advanced, and also a region for game updates. any ideas, or do you know of a better game engine, to use as a reference or umping off point. also will be using the howler.js audio api framework. any one used that and do i just then set the source of the audio in the header. any ideas, able to help me out.thanks.marvin from adelaide, australia.

Jumping bullets works fine unless they hit you from off-screen. I prefer to use a shield, since you can do more than just having to stop what you're doing just to leap in the air. Realistically, that'd be what I would do assuming I had powers like that and the shields. Remember that 15.4 is the only stage where you get to use the rocket launcher before finishing the game, and with that weapon, destroying the helicopter is super easy.

@dark, [[wow]], I thought your secondary school system was similar to my secondary system, even though it has some different terminology. What's the most common degree or deploma for a student to get from secondary school?Here in canada, each province designs its own system. In my province of Ontario, elementary school is grade 1 to grade 8, which roughly correspond with ages 6 to 13. Highschool includes grade 9 to grade 12, and typically takes 4 years, although some students take 4.5 or 5. A typical highschool will have 5 periods in a day, and each student will take 4 classes, and use the extra period for their lunch break. So if a student attends highschool for 4 years, never fails, and never has a spare, then each semester they'll earn 4 credits, or 8 credits per year, for a total of 32 credits.To graduate highschool, a student needs at least 30 credits, including the following 14 compulsory courses: 4 englishes, 3 maths, 2 sciences, one geography, one history, one physical education, one french, one arts, and a course called careers and civics, which is sort of two half courses about writing resumés, applying for jobs, and what the government is. In addition, courses in grade 9 and 10 could either be categorised as applied or academic. The difference is roughly analog to the difference between college and university. Applied courses deal a bit more with practicle stuff, and are taken by the less academically gifted, while the academic courses are a bit more theoretical, and tend to be taken by the better students. In grades 11 and 12, the there still sorta is the same categorisation of courses, but the applied stream is renamed C level courses, and the academic stream is renamed U courses, which are short for college and university courses. To apply for university, a student needs at least 6 U level courses with a mark of 60% or higher. To attend college, a student needs at least 6 courses in either the U or C stream with a mark of at least 60%. or maybe 70%. It's been 6 years since I graduated, so I might be a bit wrong on the details.If someone gets just 16 credits, then they could get a certificate of education, but I'm not sure what good that is.@Cae_Jones, Many european countries and Australia have already deprecated cheques. Here in Canada, Cheque usage has decreased by 2 thirds in the past 5 years.

It was a very stereotypically redneck thing to hear. Thankfully, once I asked her where the pathway was, she realised the stick I was waving in front of me was just my cane, so she appoligised, saying her vision isn't the greatest either, so she thought the cane was some sort of device used by government workers. She then helped me find the continuation of the path, and everything was good.@Jeffb, I never have people literally ask me "guess who?", but I do sometimes have people ask if I know who they are.
  Thankfully, they don't make a game out of it. If I say I'm not sure, or I don't know, they just tell me who they are, and don't seem to get offended. I also almost never have anyone grab me, thinking they know where I want to go.

I just reminded myself that it's possible to turn off the setting for wrapping to the top of the screen with navigation keys. In jaws 16, hit jaws+6 to open the settings centre, type "navigation", then tab and scroll down.

I don't think iOS will natively play mp3 files if you upload them through iCloud and view them in the iCloud Drive app. I haven't tried this, but I remember when I used to use Airdrop between 8 and Yosemite, it would ask me to open the file in a compatible app like VDR or VLC.

For 15-4, I mostly just jump the bullets. I don't remember how much HP I had the first time I went in there. It is tricky to time, though--they move quickly, but not immediately, and there are lots of them, so it's still hard to avoid all of them. But I mostly focused on getting close and hitting it with my strongest weapon, so mostly just keep at the right distance to jump the bullets, if I can't get close as soon as it comes down.Is 21-3 the one with all the keys? I remember there is one stage in the 20s where you have to backtrack to get a key from a previously locked room.

Sorry this is a topic for random chat about your life and what your doing, but methinks you might have posted that in the wrong place. Actually to be honest I've never really been sure what the point of crashing eloquence or any other synth was, unless your deliberately trying to piss off all the people who use it, and that isn't a good motive, just random vandelism. I did used to see what random stuff Orphius could say out of curiosity, for example how many of the letters of the alphabet typed together were silent (interestingly enough just the letter C), though I've used orphius for so long now I can usually predict how it will say things anyway.Well things are continuing fun. I've just spent tod
 ayat my brothers after a most serious lunchen at the Brazillian bq place watching more future diary. It's a very fun anime, particularly the way it manages to make most of the cast a weerd combination of sweet and psychotic, and the games involving future prediction are rather nuts. Probably not the best anime I've seen, but certainly a good story. I'm also reading embassy town by China meviel. I'm not finding it quite as compelling as perdido street station, though it's got some very unique sf ideas and is written extremely well, mostly I think because I miss the rather artistic overviews that aren't possible with a single character perspective, then again if you want really! alien aliens Embassy town has them wonderfully.

Anytime I'm talking to someone and they walk away from me, but I continue talking to them I feel like an idiot. Even when someone tells me oh  walked away. Another thing that really anoys me is the "Guess Who game." Person: Hi Jeff. Me: Hi. Person: Guess who. Or. Who am I? Me: ah... Person: Its name don't you remember me? *Person gets upset. Me: Of course I do. See then I feel like the bad one for not remembering their voice, when really it's them being a jurk. Like sightlings don't go up to each other going "Guess who"! That just be wierd right? So how do people think it's not wierd to do that to a blind person? Same with dragging you around because they think they know where you are going. Erm dude, you are a stranger. You wouldn't grab a sighted person so why are you grabbing me? Like are you trying to jump me or something. Sighted people are wierd at times.

well, one big update they need for the TTS on the ps4 is to release it outside of the US. Once that is done, I really won't care as at the moment, those in europe, australia etc are unable to use the friend list or the party feature because there is no TTS.

As a matter of fact, ffxi is completely ran by keyboard. And it was pokemon crystal that gave me this idea lol.As for ffvii unless epsxe decides to add lua support unfortunately that game wouldn't be able to be accessible. hello waistlander, I'd strongly suggest removing the abillity to mod your starter inventory. It might make the game a lot more moddable, but a thing that people can do is give themselves a weapon that does so much damage, it kills anything in the waists with one hit, and food that regens about a trillion hp, with no limmit. I hate people trying to mod their inventory and then gaining level after level, it just takes the fun, the risk factor, and the danger out of the waists. Really, I think its enough if you have the igwana bill mode and coward addition. Please ither remove it, or at least make limmits for example, you can't create weapons that go over a sertain damage and dura limmit, maybe make it the limmit for the game. Because even the game itself doesn't generate overpowered weapons of mass distruction and foods that can heal 10 health.

At the same time, 3gb ram is rather low. WIndows7 is very much ram dependent. At this point, I'd recommend getting a ram upgrade. I'd recommend 8gb ram. WHat is your processor, single or duel core?

Lords and Knights new server: Who wants to join us?

Hi all! So I'm sure many of you are familiar with the Medieval MMORPG, Lords and Knights. On Wednesday, 23 September, numerous new servers will be launched, including UK7, Australia 7 and USA 10. New servers are always great, as it allows for fresh starts and new plans. Myself and another forum member, Zakc93, previously played on Australia 5 and 6 up to some point, before we decided to wait for a new server. With UK 7 coming out, we want to try again. We made some very good friends from our ventures on the Australia servers, willing to join us. Since this game is somewhat popular here, we thought we'd ask if anyone would be interested in joining us? I think it should be loads of fun; not just the game but the community vibe; perhaps you might even make a few new friends, as you help our alliance battle for glory!  I hope we can get some n
 ew people to join, and hopefully stay on for a long time. Please post here if interested or with questions, and on the day of launch I'll give the alliance info, etc. We'll be playing on the UK 7 server, just to reiterate.

hi all, I have an iPhone 4S, updated to iOS 9.I've bought 2 awesome games from ticonblue that I really love, it's audio speed and she noire, in a bundle called audiogame.it bundle 2(english).all of those games worked well on iOS 9, and I've beat all of them.my question is, how about the other games, like the inquisitor(from the first chapter to the third chapter), inquisitors heartbeat, flarestar and audio rally racing?can I play it on the iOS 9? I'm really excited to try this title, because the storyline is promicing and not easy to beat, like in most mainstream adventure games.

Use a shield. Or stay out of its range. the rockets that you're lent can be used from pretty far away, out of gun range. But if you use a defend master or one of the other stronger shields, you can at least block the incoming bullets long enough to step back out of range.

The apple news is so so. There is some good points and some bad points. The main don't side not being able to add your own RSS feeds. The lay out is interesting though. The thing that you swipe in from the right on the status bar sort of reminds me of the swipe in from left thing that windows 8 has. If you notest, I said sort of. The contents of the switcher thing is different for one thing. As a side note, how do I get the split view to happon? I have an IPad air 2. LOL. This update seems swipe heavy at times.

There's more improvements coming to the ps4 tts? I haven't heard about this... lol. This looks to be interesting if the rumours of it on the xb1 are true as well, but as a ps4 owner... I won't lie, I'm more curious about what's going to happen in the next update of the sony firmware if anything regarding tts. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the first tts release on xbox 1 proves to be a little better than the ps4, since the Xbox 1 is based on a windows framework and tts would probably be easier to code for that.

Hi Coltonhil.Oh, I didn't know that you have taken over this project.It would be nice if the building guide  got updated so you know what you can step on etc. I have seen in some maps that there are metal.It would be nice if you took damage when you fall down.You can move while falling through the air which is quite unrealistic.How can we control how often items spawns on the maps? It would be nice to see this mentioned in the readme.It would be nice to have chat channels added so you could create channels for different languages.Keep up the awesome job. I'm glad you have taken over this when Mason for whatever reason isn't motivated to work on this anymore.

Nah, it's just the buffer. Windows xp uses the creative soundblaster es1371, newer virtual machines are capable of running vmware's new hd audio soundcard. About adding the line, really you can add it wherever, but I'd recommend adding it after either sound.autodect = "VALUE-X". Create a new line with the pciSound.playBuffer. If that also fails, remember that there's always usb audio, and if you have a regular analog headset you can get a usb redirect to turn it into a usb headset, those extensions aren't that expensive at all, really just about $8.

I hate sounding like the perpetual pessimist, but if Windows 10 is anything to go by, Microsoft's quote unquote accessibility endeavours will be at best rudimentary. The programmers working on such a feature won't have a clue, because it's highly unlikely they've ever had a personal need for such a feature, so are only coding bare essentials.I don't want to be the voice of gloom, but just remember how much hope was had for the Sony implementation. When it was finally released, it was, from my understanding, in no wise comprehensive.So salute to accessibility endeavours, but just remember to take that excitement with a grain of salt. It can improve in the future, but dare we review narrator's path to flakiness>

Hello,This is strange because when I contacted them a couple of days ago they said they weren't currently considering it at that current time but to keep checking back, so either something got confused or they didn't want to reveal anything lest it get leaked early. I'm definitely wondering what's going to happen and I hope that it will read some more stuff then just messages to start with, as while messages is good, being able to launch games would be very nice.

So... Amazing update, you can look in the changelog once you get it! This update is prety nice! Problem is, theres one final day of stw server downtime coming. This s probably getting really annoying for some of you, but it's not my fault, or even damiens. The 18+ days of downtime was actually do to his ISP messing things up, roially. They changed his moving date, not his disconnection date. So he got disconnected way before he should have. So that wasn't even his fault. Now, theres just one more day while he finily get's everything done and moveed, then he told me theres no more downtime for a while at least. Remember though, were lucky to have what we have, at least he's hosting for me. So i'm really sorry for the downtime you guys.

Do you need the mouse to play this version of Final Fantasy ?IF yes, I'm afraid that there is no chance to make it accessible.However, if no, as someone did something for Pokemon Cristal, perhaps something is doable with this software as well.Personally, that's Final Fantasy 7 I would really like to see accessibilized. The whole story, characters management, battles, etc. were all in text menus; so it's perhaps doable. The only big problem would be mini-games that are part of the plot, for example chocobo race.

hey,I just installed windows 7 on the vm to see what happen. but the audio works fine. no issues at all. but for xp, the audio still stutters. this must be the VMware problem. has anyone here on the VMware's forum that can report this issue to the VMware developer, so that they can improve it in the next version?
