Re: Scrolling Battles Pro
Re: Scrolling Battles Pro and trust me, in some countries 5 dollars means much money spent on a game in beta, so as slj said any online game coul get hacked. but guys i have a question. why stw didn't get hacked so much as ultra power or other games? because sam is changing the encription keys every month i think. and guess what? the last time when stw got hacked was at the end of june or something like that. so it isn't hacked since last 6 months. you could do themase thing mason and you wouldn't get full of hackers. Guide for Playing Japanese Audiogames
Guide for Playing Japanese Audiogames Introductionthis is the original guide published by bladestorm360however, i made some modifications because InstantTranslate not work anymore, and have put new download links to all programs that are needed to play Japanese games.clarification. I would not take credit for this, all credit is for bladestorm360I just publish this guide so that everyone can continue to enjoy the Japanese games. This guide will cover, in detail, how to play japanese audio games without knowing a single bit of the language. It is my hope that after reading it, you will be able to pick up any untranslated japanese game and play it with no trouble. Japanese audio games are easily some of the best around, far above what we've got available in the english market, and I hate to see people missing out on playing these masterpieces. There are several utilities out there that make playing these games very possible without knowing the language at all, and this guide will show you what they are, and how to get and use them.Note that this translation method is not perfect. Because japanese grammar structure is so much different than english grammar, words are often scrambled and ocasionally mistranslated. I can tell you from experience though, that it is very possible to understand the storyline, puzzles and mechanics of these games with a great degree of accuracy. I have beaten every game created by these 3 developers, and have understood the storyline of them all. Try not to be put off by the scrambled nature of the wording, it takes some practice but it can definitely be unscrambled into something that makes sense.Things you'll need:NVDA: http://www.nvda-project.orgInstantTranslate NVDA AddOn: http://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/i … te.en.htmlQ Translate (See below for understanding the current status of these tools and their use) https://dl.dropbox.com/s/knpe5983djqpfc … 9.exe?dl=0Other Useful Utilities:ProTalker English NVDA AddOn: https://www.blindworlds.com/sites/defau … talker.rarApLocale: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download … x?id=13209ClipBoard2Sapi: https://www.blindworlds.com/sites/defau … d2sapi.rarClipCopy: https://www.blindworlds.com/sites/defau … p-copy.rarClipReader: https://www.blindworlds.com/sites/defau … reader.rarSayTools: http://www.empowermentzone.com/saysetup.exeCoolSoft Virtual Midi Synth: http://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynthNotepad2: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.htmlGames:NyanChan: http://www.nyanchangames.com/Translated NyanChan: http://translate.google.com/translate?h … mes.com%2FMM: http://www.mm-galabo.com/Translated MM: http://translate.google.com/translate?s … abo.com%2FMorokuma: http://hirotaka2014.sakura.ne.jp/mh0406/Translated Morokuma: http://translate.google.com/translate?h … ;sandbox=1Some websites are better browsed using NVDA and InstantTranslate, by selecting text and translating them line by line. So you can either use instant translate, or browse to the download page with google translate, copy the link to the japanese website from there and find the link on the actual page that way.Setup:This will get you up and running with all of the japanese games. Some steps are fairly complex, so please only do what you're comfortable with. If something seems overcomplicated or you just don't want to mess with it, you shouldn't have to. Only the first 3 steps are necessary to play everything but the text games, all other steps are completely optional.1. Install NVDA. If you've never used it before, you may wish to read a bit of documentation or experiment to get a feel for the screen reader.2. Install the InstantTranslate AddOn package. If you have NVDA running, you can simply navigate to the directory you saved these in and press enter on it.3. Download the Textgame patch. This was initially only for the text games, but it helps with the regular games as well. This prevents you from having to install the japanese keyboard and IME, unless you want to.Once downloaded, unzip the patch somewhere, and then copy the hook.dll and Launch files into the folder of the game you want to play. Now make sure that the games executable is renamed to play. For many of the games, this is already the case. But if not, you'll need to rename it for launch to work properly. Re: Scrolling Battles Pro
Re: Scrolling Battles Pro The thing is: Mason, you said previously, that the game is secure now after the rewrite, and now you are saying that it's not secure, and you therefore wanna rewrite it in an other language. No madder how hard you try, your games can be hacked. Look at Aprone, who have worked with security for 15 years or so. He have fighted against hackers for extremely long time and then was forced to make Swamp payed to stop the hackers. But they keep trying to reach his server. So if security and avoid hackers is what you want, you should screw online gaming, because there will always be a chance to get hacked. Now let me ask a question: How many times has the new version of the game been hacked? How many times have the other online games which are written in BGT been hacked? Now, I could choose to just go away and leave you alone and say screw it, but I won't, because I have the feeling that you don't know how much you are hurting yourself if you drop the project . You would make your customers most happy if you keep the current version running while rewriting the game in a more secure language if that's the way you wanna go. The customers don't care about the programming language at all but just the game. That means if the product they have bought don't work, they'll be pissed, because their product simply don't work.Let me give you an example: You buy a subscription for Netflix. the whole service is suddenly being shut down because they wanna rewrite the whole system in a more secure language. How would you feel if you then can't use what you have payed for in a few weeks? The customers will find other alternatives, and this is what is happening with your customers at the moment. Just saying... Defender is just one of many examples... Re: wow, I'm more fucked than I thought
Re: wow, I'm more fucked than I thought Pretty fucked up shit, I have to say, but I mean, almost all of us have entertained sudden, powerful thoughts about commiting violent sexual acts on those who spurn us, having physical control over another who we dislike, brutally killing someone in a way that we've recently heard about happening to someone else, but they almost always pass very quickly and leave us feeling guilty, confused, and vaguely sickened afterwards. Those are the undeniable, primal urges that, no matter how hard we tried as a species, could not simply be swept under the rug with the progression of social structure, because we are still animals, who's emotions, thoughts, and actions can still be influenced by a sudden influx of the chemicals that are produced by our own bodies. However if they don't pass, if they persist over a significant length of time and incessantly hound you, it's time to talk to someone, period, before you do something that could ruin, or end, your life.< br />The fact that you instinctually understand that this is wrong however, actively seeking assistance to stop these feelings from overtaking you, means that you are clearly not a true sociopath or psychopath.Which I believe means that your true feelings about things, your core ethical structure and moral compass, the things that make you Human are still in tact inside, but are masked by an underlying mental illness or a significant chemical imbalance that has built up over time, possibly both, which is allot less uncommon than you may thinkPersonally, I don't think talking will help you, at least not right away, and I would instead focus on getting something to help balance those chemicals out, a controlled prescription, one given to you by a medical professional, and not a self medication like pot or boos, since they tend to only treat the symptoms and not the problem. You probably won't have to take it for the rest of your life either, it's generally 2 to 4 years unless it's something really serious, and almost certainly no more than once a day, as well, so there is no good excuse not to.It's vital that you do something about this though, and keep with it for as long as is needed, if not for you than for others, because if you are truly driven to do these things, then you will find a way, blind or not.Becoming what you fear most isn't worth the luxury of sitting on your ass wasting away, is what I'm trying to say, because that would probably be worse than just killing your self, or at least that's how I would see it if i was in your place, but you could probably prevent both of those things from happening if you made the effort.Saving your self from this crap is most certainly worth it, since you have no idea what you might become some day, weather it's a simple thing, like being a good neighbor and friend, someone that helps strangers out when they are in need without e xpecting anything in return, even just being good at your job; or if you'll end up being the next big inventor of something that helps people somehow, the leader of an important organization or movement, hell you may even win the lottery and donate most of your winnings to charity, but you'll never get the chance to look back on this time in your life and take satisfaction in overcoming it if you give up now. You probably won't have to take it for the rest of your life either, it's generally 2 to 4 years unless it's something really serious, and almost certainly no more than once a day, as well, so there is no good excuse not to.It's vital that you do something about this though, and keep with it for as long as is needed, if not for you than for others, because if you are truly driven to do these things, then you will find a way, blind or not.Becoming what you fear most isn't worth the luxury of sitting on your ass wasting away, is what I'm trying to say, because that would probably be worse than just killing your self, or at least that's how I would see it if i was in your place, but you could probably prevent both of those things from happening if you made the effort.Saving your self is most certainly worth it, since you have no idea what you might become some day, weather it's a simple thing, like being a good neighbor and friend, someone that helps strangers out when they are in need without expecting anythi ng in return, even just being good at your job; or if you'll end up being the next big inventor of something that helps people somehow, the leader of an important organization or movement, hell you may even win the lottery and donate most of your winnings to charity. Re: I'm gonna try to bring us Undertale Heh, its more my interest in the challenge of creating an audio UI for such a game more than anything else, but I wouldn't mind helping out.I get the impression Toby is being polite and doesn't have much of an interest in doing an audio port, and I can understand where he's coming from having just released it after a 2 year dev cycle. Given the complexity of it and all the press and feedback he's getting, i'm sure he'd want things to settle down a bit before considering such things. Still, I would find it pretty ironic if he didn't allow a mod at some point considering his own Earthbound Halloween Mod once upon a time. For now we could try just replicating the Undertale Demo as a proof of concept and see where it goes from there. On the Undertale Wiki it claims when the demo is decompiled it has an embeded message from Toby Fox asking not to spoil the demo and not modify the code until after it's released, so it might be ok? May be worth asking.
However, most of them can be browsed just using google translate. NyanChan will not allow you to download certain files through google translate, however. Once done, run launch and the game will start.Note that if playing Morokuma's Text Games, or if you want window titles or the first menu of Shadow Line to translate correctly, you will need to either change your system locale or run launch through AppLocale. More on this later. You should now have everything installed that you need to play games such as Bokurano Daiboukenn and Brave of Cloudia. However, there is one optional step that may help you out:4. I'm glad it's in a playable state at least tho. There are now hints on each square telling you the grid number it goes 0 1 2 3 4 next line 5 etc. these numbers are repeated after you move so say you were on square 5 and went north you would be on square 0 the top left corner square. Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor I think audio quality is a very easy case to make when you consider the crap put out by most Bluetooth devices, and the GSM buzz you hear on most cheap headsets. Speaking personally I'd love to have a market in DACs, and if Apple wants to get out of that space, why not let them? It would be ironic if the most successful manufacturer of consumer electronics to include a half-decent DAC were to exit, but yeah, as you said it won't really matter to most folk anyway. Not sure what you mean by "Capsules". Do you mean Time Capsule? That's just a NAS--you can use any other if you like. And of course Macs work with USB too, as well as the (far superior) Thunderbolt. Strangely, they don't yet support USB 3.1, but when they do, we'll all be aboard the same boat, we'll all have Thunderbolt, and everybody will see what a win it really is. Oh, and prices will come down for Mac users too, which will be very nice.Speaking of Mac, 3.5 port is s till on all my Macs. Either lightning becomes totally ubiquitous, or Apple are telling Mac users to go forth. I think the latter is much more probable, but then, the Macs all have mini-toslink anyway. Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor
Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor I'm surprised they're using enhanced audio quality as a way to validate their removal of the 3.5mm jack. The average listener doesn't know good quality from bad quality, or what good and bad quality really are in the first place. So I'm not sure why that would play a role in this.Lightening speeds on Apple is actually much faster than any of the USB transfer rates I've seen. Of course you have to pay a hefty price for the capsules which are just stupid terms for harddrives that only connect to Macs.I've also heard rumor of Apple removing the home button, which would make it interesting on the accessibility front even beyond VO users. At least on Android, we have a home button virtually at the bottom of the screen that we can double tap to activate. However, Apple has the accessibility shortcut along with the app switcher. Re: Lament Moderation! I actually should've thought of this yesterday, but sinse this is our first full topic about lament and it's therefore a newly discovered accessible game, I will move this to new releases. As to the game, I know this sort of game doesn't have quests or monsters, but I'd be interested to know what else there is to do and what the creafting is for. Clok after all has it's guilds and taint to fight, avalon has it's complex city system etc. If the game is just a medeival world to roleplay in and get better at crafting, that sounds fine as far as it goes and the crafting sounds good, but I suspect for me It'd feel a little empty after a while. Re: Cleft of Dimensions: Anyone played it? Moderation! Sinse this is a newly discovered mud, I moved this topic to new releases to let people know more about the game. One thing I'd be interested to know is, how are the descriptions? One of my problems with a lot of stuf based on old computer games is that they always go the "you see Mario", or at most "you see a man in blue and red overals" route without saying much or really using the text. I'd also be interested to know what sorts of classes are available in thegame. I'm taken up with classic 6 dragons at present, but I might check this out in the future sinse it sounds fun. Cleft of Dimensions: Anyone played it?
Cleft of Dimensions: Anyone played it? Hi everyone,Recently i just started playing this mud, and it's pretty cool. The setting is pretty cool, which is a whole bunch of things from various retro video games. The game is primarily quest and exploration based. Hack and Slash too if you want to, which is required to grind for doing quests at a higher level if you need to be at a higher level, but that's all I do it for.Typing quests gives you an overview of quests in a specific area and gives you general hints on what the quest is, but not who gives or how to start it. I was the victim of doing the first quest I came across, which happened to be the boss of the area I was in and isn't recommended not to be completed until level 5. The "Have you encountered the "Runaway five"? should've been a dead giveaway, but I didn't know that in this case the five meant level five lol. There are some other quests that level 1-2's can do however. Another thing, one of the pl ayers and the admin said that the maps that are available are for cities etc, you can just use the map command. Of course these are Ascii, and the admin told me that it wasn't worth adding helpful maps for us when so much of the game, he said, everyone, not just us, is left to their memory for getting around areas. The tutorial is also nice and adds a nice touch to the video game setting. Most of the tutorial takes place inside a NES, which you are of course sucked into, where you play Punch Out and learn about combat. Combat is pretty unique. Unlike, say, alter Aeon, where a pack of something is just one mob, here, it can be, wel, a group. If one member of the pack is doing more damage than the others, you can target them to hopefully defeat them first. This is explained in Punch out when one of the NPCs will shield him from your attacks. Then you have to target the person to defeat him. Most of the tutorial is combat, and it teaches you a bit about questing as well, though the game does give players the freedom to do both. Seems they put extra work into these quests though. Another great thing for screen readers: NPCs that have dialogue trees, when the NPC says something, the game will say something like:"You think to say, "So how's the weather today?""You think to say, "Do you have any work?"Of course, none of those are in the game, but the game will give you context help based on each conversation you have, either to start a quest or provide information about one.Spoiler Alert: You can also just randomly stumble upon quests. Going north in Azgard city center gives you the "Runaway Five" quest, where you serve community service for attempting to swim in the fountain. Since the guard just simply tells you to look for the 'P' on your map, like any video game, the direction is south. You'll find a guardpost somewhere south. So, I hope this gives you enough i nformation to check it out. Connection info:Cod.mudmagic.com 4354Enjoy and hope to see some of you on there at some point! I come on at random times, so it's likely I won't actually see anyone from this community if you stop by. The playerbase unfortunately isn't very large. Re: six dragons impressions and questions @BogdanI didn't make that plugin, it was created by Nick Gammon. I don't have Mush Client, it requires Windows software. I use Linux, so I couldn't help you with that. I have been told that the newer Mush Client doesn't need that plugin anymore. So instead of messing with the plugin at all, I would try just putting the sound files in the directory where you normally keep sound files in your Mush Client. There is another player that recently got Mush Client working fine with sounds, so I assume that is what they did. Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor
Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor Apparently, the dual lightning port would enhance sound quality since it would allow for apple to build or, in this case, revamp how it treats audio on its device. I'm not sure precisely what I think about it, but I suppose that if this possibility holds true, we won't have long to wait. But I still don't believe I need a water proof phone, nor do I need a thinner one, for that matter. Oh well... I guess I can stick to my soon to be newly acquired iPhone 6s+ until, um, it bites the dust, and then I'll, uh, run out of excuses to do, whatever it is Apple wants me to do in the name of good accessibility. Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor
Re: Apple: The Unsettling Rumor Yes, the loss of optical output on Apple TV sucks donkey balls for us because we now need to invest in an audio-visual splitter or receiver to avoid the need for an actual television, but to Apple's credit (yes, yes, I know, it's totally unfashionable to empathise with Apple's money-grabbing business practices, but still) it doesn't actually make sense to include a connector that very few sighted people would use anyway. Most home theatres use video pass-through on HDMI, so you go from Apple TV to AVR box to TV, which gives you full surround without SPDIF. Once again this is just shaving dead wood, and the people who notice it most are those discerning audiophiles with heavy investments in equipment and blind people, and not the other 99%. And yes it stinks. The irony is that the mini-toslink port is actually compatible with the 3.5 headphone jack, so they could even have extended support, but no, it's just one more expense we can do without, so it's gone.@Dark: oh yes please! A virus that can abolish the competition? Made by Apple you say? What? It costs a fortune and occasionally destroys Apple products too? Nonsense! It's made by Apple, it's all just vicious stories spread by haters and the product is perfect, therefore I must have it. Tell me where I can get it. Now!!! But seriously, my technology investments speak for themselves. If it costs real money and I'd mourn the loss of it, I don't buy into proprietary. Standard toslink for the stereo, not these iPod docks. You buy the docks separately, and wire them up using standard 3.5 connectors. I hope you don't think I'm that naive. Even if I do like Apple quite a lot. And yeah, silly legacy is right IMO. We need to move for ward, just not with closed protocols. Would you object to a digital path between your headset and phone if the connector was interoperable, and ideally back-compatible with your existing investment? I wouldn't. For Apple's faults, they do at least generally offer something to the consumer in exchange for their loyalty. Ditto for all the other silliness, like optical and/or floppy drives in laptops, serial/parallel replaced by USB, etc. It's important to be able to gnash your teeth and complain about the unfairness of it all, but I think it's also important to understand that somebody has to lead the way; there's no consent decree before these things can happen, sadly. And yeah as far as headphones go it just means having two pairs rather than the one. If they're particularly good, and I get the mic included, or if they came in the box, well, I'd be fine with that. Of course in doing so, I've just lost the game, because I paid the technology le vy, but meh. My non-Apple investment is still safe. Re: Scrolling Battles Pro As much as you wouldn't want to, and perhaps you may not agree with me at all on this, (if you don't, it's okay. I'm not going to pretend to be a know-it-all, I have no experience with this, so don't take it personal), but I think it might be a good idea to lay off the game creation for a while, at least until you can decide exactly what you want to do with it. Programming language--which one are you wanting to use? Free or paid--you don't really seem to know for sure, although you're doing better with this than, say, Ultra Power, how to write the code--especially with this game, it apparently got so bad you didn't want to do it any more. I just think you aut to just create some games, fittle around with just yourself and your friends knowing about it. Just open up Python or whatever it is you're using and code things you'd like to play, perhaps you'd like to release, but don't release them yet. Because I really think scr olling battles may have been hastily coded, not properly tested, etc. And I also think you may not have been ready for this, especially the responsibility of a paid game. Re: Windows 7 and 8 Now Getting The Spyware Treatment
Re: Windows 7 and 8 Now Getting The Spyware Treatment I don't know. If MS manage to kick up any more of a shitstorm, then I'll consider installing GWX Control Panel, although honestly I'd rather not. It may be a cure, but it's not ideal because it has to stay resident just to work, which means a systray icon just like the nagware itself. And, agree. If MS could just give us what we wanted, it'd all be all right. But they are absolutely determined not to. You can just smell the fear.
Re: wow, I'm more fucked than I thought
Re: wow, I'm more fucked than I thought Hi lord london.Ok reread your post because yesterday was update day and I had lots to do so I couldn't touch fully on it.Trust, hmmm do I trust everyone? No, its an instinct maybe yours is stronger than mine.Brain sleep.I have issues sleeping period so does my brother, with me I wake up randomly with him he can't sleep and when he does he does not wake up wasting half days doing so.The rest.I rarely get that angry my brother does at times put me in a corner trying to accuse me by telling me off about something he thinks I did, and therefore I feel justified to defend myself.Ofcause it never goes well and its something I have got used to but it can get hard sometimes.I can't help you with everything though. How much time do you spend online? My advice is to take a break from the online part.Shut down your skype twitter and any other notification spewing program and step away for a bit its why I neve r did this.I do spend all day online but I really try to avoid it if and when I can.The rest I don't know. You obviously have some underlying issue, were you abbused at all?Attention, I must say I do like that, and when people are away I do feel pangs of needing attention.I can remember a story actually it was my life where I tried a student flat attached to my special school.Lets say this, bits were good bits were bad.In this flat we had skills to learn but things did not always go to plan.Bar me and a few others most did not pull their weight having me wash dishes for 5 hours. My flatters were.me a blind tech.a depressed suisidal that was always in a mood.a person that couldn't cook and didn't care.a person with epelepsy that kept falling down.an autistic with a brain of a child that thought everything was her fault.a guy that was ok for what he was worth.another guy that played keyboards and was generally rfun.a island girl that was fun but could get angry.an island guy that was a good friend, but was a wrebel and broke the rules getting suspended once for having a girl round, getting her pregnant and almost going to jail.I spent most of that time eating kfc, biscuits, cakes and chips seeing how many packets I could eat in 10 minutes.I was so bored I would sit online and listen to radio using up all the flats bandwidth.I got really fat. That has been the most depressed and bored I have ever been.I will never do it or flatting again! Then again I had a bad deal.I still maintain you probably feel the basic stuff I do though hyped.I wouldn't kill someone like that, ok maybe for like 10 minutes or less but a month of anger?I guess the closest I have come to actually killing someone is a family member that thinks all blind people are helpless and need help can't use a cane et c because it will cause issues.I know this person has low confidence issues, likes to rush and stress and won't change however when I do see here and live with her for a time as a result, life and her conversations are quite limited.I have to keep my vocal arguments to myself. Now thats as far as I can think of going with you.I do think we do feel neglected when left.I do feel like that when I am left but thats life it happens.I don't care to be alone though its my only real fear to be honest. It doesn't mean I need someone to be close to me but someone in the same building.I suggest you take something else off the computer and try to do that that way.But I think your cpu has more problems than my limited storage can actually help you with.I suggest you ask someone prefferably with cloud or collective intelegence to help you just don't ask the borg thats all. Re: windows 10... where to start?
Re: windows 10... where to start? windows key + X is a good one, its called the power user menu to the MS nerds. You get a lot of options that are used in maintenance or administrative tasks. And each has a character associated with it as well, so once you know the shortcuts, you're good. so, win + x then a takes you to an elevated command prompt. this is good if you want to edit or perform tasks that would be denied in the regular command prompt without privileges. If you use anything that requires execution, or you just are fond of the command prompt, you can use file explorer to get to the directory, so for example, win + R to get to the run menu, then c:\audiogames\BK3. That'd put you in the directory like it always would, but you can hit ALT + D to get to the address bar, and now you can type CMD and hit enter and it'll put you in that directory once the command prompt launches. It's not escalated command prompt, though if the shortcut control + shift + enter still works, it might be able to be triggered that way. Whatever you do, do not launch tablet mode from the notification center, it took me like an hour to figure out how to get back out of it, it like constricts you to the mobile style interface. If you want to install eSpeak, which is an X64 app, then choosing it as the default form the control panel speech settings won't work, it won't be in there, so what you'll have to do is go to run menu and type the following: c:\windows\syswow64\speech\speechux\sapi.cpl. The change will stay in effect until narrator is launched, which, does happen by accident from time to time since windows plus enter does it. I would honestly take the time to do a clean install, once you're activated, you don't need the key, if you see something requesting a key, find a link that says skip this step, you don't need it. Your activation is server based on MS end. I had problems until I clean installed. Slowness, and hanging. NVDA can now be launched as part of the Ease of Access center, if you already had it set to automatically start on the sign in screen, uncheck it, hit OK, go back in to general settings and then check it again. Also, if you install NVDA and then check the box in the setup, it'll apply. Why you would want to do this, honestly, it starts talking before the desktop even comes up, it'll be a bit laggy as your computer starts to load everything. Hmm, what else. I guess just be aware of your privacy settings, windows likes to really put the spy eye on you, and if you want to turn a lot of that stuff off, you can, but it doesn't mean they're not getting it still, and it could all get turned on during updates, which, a lot of the time you don't even know about. What you can do is edit the hosts file, you'll need to do this from the elevated command prompt, so win X then A. You'll most likely be in system32, so just cd drivers/etc, then do this, notepad hosts. this tells it to open t he file under notepad, but as an administrator. You'll see the format of the file, just redirect things to 0.0.0.0 or something. Re: Scrolling Battles Pro
Re: Scrolling Battles Pro Hi mason.[[wow]], you know I really am not sure about you anymore. That game was good the last version that was good is 1.61 in my opinion. That had the singleplayer/normal mode playable, I have 1.4 here.So you have a problem with security in the game.To be honest fine you want to rewrite you go ahead.Saying this we payed for the game.I suggest you release the game shitty and broken as it is before the changes to items in single player mode so we can play it propperly then rewrite it.You ofcause can just give us our cash though you will loose customers me included. You know you are just one step from me actually aggreeing with the masses and flaming you out.Look you made agood game, it looked good. You had a problem, you rewrite. You keep that version broken as it is unless you think its really that bad that you can't possibly keep it.Your feed back from players is that 1, no items in singleplayer mode w hich needs to be fixed maybe if you use 1.61 as the last version.2. The online mode is not secure, well you could leave that in or if its that insecure disable it in the meantime or just leave enabled.3. the sounds the same. You want to rewrite so go and do that, however you have a reputation for just doing what suits you and I have been trying my hardest to give you chances and such.I don't know if I can continue doing this for much longer.I am telling you this as a friend. You keep this up and people will not know which way the wind is blowing honest I don't. Re: Scrolling Battles Pro
Re: Scrolling Battles Pro I am not asking for the source code, I couldn't code my way out of a wet paper bag. I just want it to go for something. I paid for it, then 2 days later it went down and pretty much stayed down, so that money is pretty much wasted, not that it's a huge deal its $5, I'd be more pissed if it was like $30. So, modifying it, an releasing a server app to go with it so users can host their own servers, that sounds like a good idea to me if all parties think its ok. Re: windows 10... where to start?
Re: windows 10... where to start? You shouldn't have to reinstall everything if you upgrade from windows 7 to 10. And if you do, it will let you know.I'd probably start with learning the start menu. Hit windows key. And tab around. You'll be able to open up your programs and stuff, but also you'll see the cortana interface. Go talk to your computer. There's a new settings app. You can find it on the start menu screen. It has just about all the essential settings that matter. Some more obscurish settings hide in the old control panel, but you have to type control panel into the start search box to find it.As for books, I recommend reading Windows 10: The Missing Manual. I doubt you have a Bookshare membership because you live in Canada, but if you can, that book is phenomenal, and the author wields a lively pen that will keep you chuckling. Re: so, how do I work with amazon's Kindle for PC? This is really strange because Jeff Bezos says that his whole goal with Kindle is to make books more readable by the public. He is trying to "Kindle" the passion for books in people. Why don't we all send Mr. Bezos an email, letting him know how many books we read with text to speech and ask him why he is not focusing on text to speech because it is by far the fastest mode of reading. Also mention your words per minute.j...@amazon.com.
