Well, I am no coder, as my friend jokingly told me "You couldn't even write a Hello World script without copy/paste..." But as little meaning as he wanted to give to those words, he actually does speak the truth. But, I think the advice in post 2 is very helpful. While I don't program, I do other things which can, to a certain degree, be approached with a programmer's mind set. An example of this is MML, which is a simple music notation language. I'm known to do interesting things with it, such as trying to emulate difficult to play passages, which are about 500 times more difficult to type and play correctly. While a lot of my mml code does look a little jibberish to me sometimes, I can piece it together, and if the thing refuses to compile into something that can be played, or if it plays and sounds wrong, I can normally step through the mml script and find the problem, not by trial and error but by looking at what I've typed and seeing the err
 or. With MML though it's a lot simpler, it's more meant for musical/math geeks like myself. So it's just a simple matter of knowing what each command does and being able to add their effects up in your head.A programming language is much different. In MML I don't have to step back and piece together how I've constructed an array or a function, or how I've set an object's properties, and then figure out how that led to the result I'm getting. That kind of stuff makes my head hurt. I've tried to grasp BGT. I really tried. And because my brain doesn't work the way BGT does, I end up tying it in hopelessly tangled knots. No doubt I could untangle them given time, patience, and a mentor who could see me through. That same friend who joked about my inability to write Hello World also told me that if I did grasp BGT or a similar language, he would not be surprised if I did great things with it which nobody else had thought of yet. But
  I'm not there yet, and I suspect I won't be for a long time.Even though I am not a coder, I can tell you this much. No matter the system or method for inputting the iisntructions, whether it's mml, bgt, Python, or even sitting in front of an editor that doesn't have scripting of any kind, the process should be similar. You have to know what you're trying to do and how you're going to do it before you start typing. That doesn't mean you must have the whole program code scripted in your head, but it is never a good idea to push yourself too hard too soon. This only leads to discouragement. Remember, a programming language is a language. You can't always take it in chunks or sentences. It's the same with writing novels. Not only do authors understand the sentences they write in their novels, but they choose the words they use based on impact, on context, and on language structure. Nothing they write is written just because... or at le
 ast it shouldn't be. Coding should be the same way. You write commands with an understanding of what they all do. Perhaps the simplicity of MML commands is why I grasp it so well. Those commands do one thing which for the most part is immediately obvious, and they are read left to right, top to bottom. If there is a problem, I'll be sure to notice it by just listening to the output. But a programming language puts meanings to those words, meanings that only make sense if you understand the linguistic structure. They are not immediately obvious unless you have context within the language which defines them. Furthermore programs have layers of functions, objects, arrays, variables and so forth, which require a lot of backtracking. Kind of liking through written paragraphs and stepping through the he's, she's, I's, you's, them's, they's, and stuff like that to find the path that leads to real meaning and context. , Thus, trial and error is not re
 ally a good strategy to determine problems, unless you have narrowed your possible problems down to a few suspects. Even then, it is not bad practice to figure out why option A works and option B doesn't.

I believe there should be some nationalistic reasons which lead people to vote to leave the EU, but the point of immigrants sounds ridiculous at some extent. If all immigrants will be forced to get away from Britain, then it will collapse very soon after. I agree that Britain may not own the potential of giving home to newer groups of immigrants, but this does not mean to departure those who are actually working and living in England. Do you imagine what this would cause to smaller countries where these immigrantse come from?There is a small city in Albania, where more than 40% of its population has migrated to Britain. In fact, a friend of mine who lives in London told me a sarcastic saying of him. He said that if I come across an Albanian, I don't need to ask him where does he live in Albania, because I already know that he and all the others are from there.Anyway, it may not be true, or it is just my belief that the brexit will not have an enormous consequence

Books for English learning will be sold again around the world, the English influence will not disappear to let French be spoken as a second Language in the EU as some medias predict, embacies will function normally, student experiences will be still shared among british students and those from other nations, it's just going to be a greater independence from the british side. After all, Britain will not become a communist nation to stop all the external activities with the outer world as some people predict.

Wait DD, is the PC version on Steam? I'm just curious, I indeed know about a PC version of the game, and I also heard a gameplay of it on Youtube which I think sounds better than the IOS version. But if it's on steam, which I've heard is inaccessible, I won't be getting that. I'd rather pay for a game on Steam that I really want that isn't available anywhere else.

No, I was never interested in Wordpress or Google. However, Drupal that someone else mentioned looks interesting, though I am not sure how much coding knowledge is required. I think that a website builder could be made accessible. For example, it could ask "Where do you want to put your menu bar?" and there could be options to choose from. The problem is that building a website without needing to hand write requires you to interact visually.  Most of the programs out there designed to help users who can't grasp HTML5 rely heavily on what they see and where they would like to place what.Let's put this picture in the top right.  Let's put a list of links off to the left paneling down the side of the screen.  That would be easily done from a sighted perspective.  But inputting into a form field the data to make that happen for a blind person would more than likely be just as hard as writing the mark-up language for it.Luke

Hi.I am willing to retry if you will have me.One thing though unless you think I could help and as long as you accept I can't do it all the time I will try for online.However due to what happened last time I am no longer going to commit myself to an always on approach like I did last time because I just won't be able to do that or rather I can do it now but I don't want to become static, I promise you I will try to stick 1-2 hours a day maybe more to do whatever is needed however due to timezone and how things are, fact is I feel I will miss out on a lot of the team stuff that is done during my night.Things in my life have changed so I don't have the silly load of time I had before.Last time was the start of that change, and with various things that change continues.I am happy to help for at least the offline test, for online I will try to get some time in and where I can I will come in and waste a bit of time playing, but I

Ishan, although you said that you only want to hear from Dark, I think that I must disagree with two of the things that you said in your post. Firstly, Laurie was not receiving sympathy just because of her femininity, but because she was being threatened and abused, and that is something that Dark chose not to tolerate. Secondly, Colton's depression is not a "drama" but actually quite serious. Depression is a very severe mental health issue and it should be treated as such. I would find it very difficult to believe that Colton would joke about such a thing on a public forum.

I would even say FTP control isn't a must-have.  I'm sure other services are much the same, but I know personally with GoDaddy uploading your HTML files is just as easy as going to your account and uploading them that way.  You can send multiple files to the server at once, eliminating the need for the FTP protocol.Luke

I have played Steam's version of MK on my old PC over a year ago.  I seemed to have lost my info to log on, and I much don't feel like paying Valve a $20 fee for a game I got on sale 75% off.Has anyone played the CD version of MK Komplete Edition or the 2011 edition on PC?  I'm contemplating playing the game straight from the disc instead of redownloading Steam and wasting all that space just to play.Thanks,Luke

@welshweyr, while I agree the campaign on both sides was extremely mishandled, i'll also note that the stay campaign's depiction of those who voted to leave as basically a bunch of nazis and the implication that a vote to leave Europe was automatically in favour of nationalization and racist policies was equally involved with spin, but that's generally how political campaigns work, and to an extent most debates generally, very few decisions are based on rational choice, especially where a majoritarian prejudice is concerned. I've not heard of aryd mud before,  is it an interesting one? That aspect of aardwolf is a bit lacking, though if you want a similar mud which I've heard has rather more friendly players (even a hole player organization to help with quests), perhaps look into erionmud, website Here I've not tried the gamemuch, but from what I saw it was somewhat similar to aardwolf,  though with some different activities and emphases, actually i need to try it a bit more and look into giving it a db page, though right now I'm rather busy with Alteraeon.

As far as I know, you pick a theme to start with in the Personalization control panel app. Then using the same control panel app make all the changes you want to the theme, such as icons, wallpaper, sounds, pointers, and etc., then save it as your own custom theme.If you want to create new themes to distribute, you can probably find that information on Microsoft's web site.

Hi.Well you know, it's always those small things that I have to find out with your help, but it's quite the good feeling when you manage it to slap the puck into your opponents goal in the end, isn't it?I guess I will reinstall that whole game together with the mod.The things I plan to do is install the game, extract the interface.exe into the games folder, and install the rosters correctly by copying the files in to the correct place.One thing I am wondering is, how does the shoot out work? I voted to remain, as did very nearly half of the UK. For me, the frustrating thing about the referendum is actually the people who now say that it isn't fair and that they only voted to leave as a reaction to dissatisfaction with British politics at the moment. I accept that the media is good at finding most extreme examples, but I even heard one story about a woman who voted to leave because she was unhappy with how her local (yes, local) government officials handled the closing of a public toilet. It seems that the leave campaign was primarily motivated by fear, prejudice and a lack of understanding, while the remain campaign seemed to focus more on the actual statistics and pros and cons of what leaving the EU means for people.It's also worth remembering that EU legislation hasn't been all bad for British people. If the commentator does not say the player's name when he receives the puck, you haven't installed the pbp. They can be find in the mod, download the file and extracted in your c:\nhl 2004 folder. You can also go to shootout practice to know what sound does what. First, go to options and then display, and set the camera to the "always up" option. This way, the home team's zone is south, and the away team's is north. So to score you have to skate north and get setup in your opponent's zone. I hope this all make sense, that's why I really think people who really want to try this game should be familiarized with the sport of hockey first. It's definitely worth it if you're a big fan

so because I have a large amount of extra time on my hands, I'm currently playing through the french version of the game on the PC since the IOS version last time I checked didn't have a language switch optionover all though I think I like this a lot better even if I barely understand any of the dialogue, but that might just be because it's the original, idkhas anyone else played both versions?for anyone who hasn't played in french but has maybe completed the game, it's interesting to note that some of the voices when the english version were actually created seem to have been left intact, like they had people do the english dialogue but the battle grunts were kept the same for some strange reasonlastly, hard mode... I'm decently satisfied, the game is quite a bit less forgiving with getting hit and I think the required timing and enemy attack speed may actually be a bit fasterprime example being the horseback portion of 
 the game, if you make one mistake you die, so...

Hi.Ok, let's try to answer some questions.1. Do the following.when you are at the starting point, go forward till you hit a corner, go left then. Take a few steps till you hear a faster door sound on the left, that's the room where the broom is in, Face the door and open it with enter.Go in to the room and move twars the sound of the broom, It's a kind of swishing sound if you have the latest build of the game.Hit P to get in to the passward list and pick up the broom by choosing the password up from the list, it's the only one you have.2. As far as I know, the whole game is Sapi based, so you can't change to another speach output method.3. Some animals will not jump over water, if there is a body of water in front of the animal, it will not move, I think lions and tigers can jump over water, and rats can move through those.

Variables can be used anywhere. If it is in your main function, in a call to the alert function, globally outside any specific function, that doesn't matter. You can do all the things with variables like the ones described in the tutorial anywhere in your code. That's pretty much one of the main points of the variables' existence in the first place. :-)Hope this helps,Lukas

What you should do, is try to avoid going through the entire array in a single irrigation in the loop. Maybe use some sort of counter, that updates every frame, and only check the entries corresponding to the counter. For example, instead of checking the entire loop of enemies, and updating them in a single frame, you will have a enemy counter variable, did you increments every frame. Then, when it is greater than the length of the enemy array, set it back to zero. He would only be step one enemy per frame, but if your friends are short enough, this shouldn't be too big a deal.

Hello friends W.U?  I mean this sounds quite funny but yup it will be alright for you?well sera really want to tactically battle in the jungle. But so sad she cannot figure it out.  well well? enough rambling come to the point. I just stuck in 3 different games. 1sera in the castle I don't know how to go to the broom cover and take the broom and I just bumped in the walls what should I do? 2how to disable sappy in tactical battle? 3In jim's game o who is jim? no I am not talking about jim chef but I mean meleny's boyfriend jim he who made the new game the jungle. Right now i'm toying with the idea of releasing a public beta to the forums or hiring a few more testers. I wouldn't exactly classify this as a mud type game, given the online mode takes a rather different approach as aposed to just roleplay and activities, though it does include a little bit of both. I've been tieing it to pick up when the offline story ends.

Ah, I see. In any case, though, having just a single wait call in the main game loop should do the trick well enough. I believe there just has to be a single loop that's driving it all and calling all other functions, I can hardly imagine a successfully running game that would be done otherwise, at least one written in BGT. :-DGood luck,Lukas

rofl, annoyingly enough, some of my classes have internal functions, others don't, so I write up a global function so the class can behave, from outside the class, which yes, might seem confusing but this person here writing this post can be a little insane at times.For the most part however I have a function inside the class that allows it to behave, and then I write up a function on the global scope. I sometimes write generic functions inside the class, and sometimes I'll have the external global function make the class do different internal functions. Other times I'll make the class completely self sufficient so that in my big while loop I just have 1 function that loops through all the items of a class and perform said function. I do this to keep the loop as clean as possible.I'll try the suggestions here today and see what I can come up with.

@danny: will this beta be for the whole audiogames forum, or do you want us to give our email addresses to join a testing team?If you would like a tester, I have time on my hands, I use dropbox a lot, I have experience with mainstream games and would like to see something like this for the audiogames community. The proudest game I tested for was Rail Racer where I saw it from the first tester version until it's completion, including the online mode. I have also taken part in the earliest of Entombed alpha testing, giving feedback to the developer of what is now considered to be a very popular audiogame for it's time and it's still occasionally talked about today.I also tested for Acefire before the public launch.Here are a list of some of my weaknesses though.I have not played a mud-type game for a while.I struggle with role playing a character in an online setting, but I would, however, be willing to try if this is what you wish.
 I would also like to be involved with single player testing, if you will allow me to.Thanks in advance.
