Jayde, You're welcome to borrow the Zeogneoss or Peggisen from my old file if you like, both are over level 80 with life tonics used on them and their train points pumped into speed and attacking stats. White Lance or Frost Bite respectively should do a good amount of damage to Irroadium at that level. I'll try to keep more of an eye on this topic tomorrow/later today so we can arrange for that if you want. I don't need anything specific in return.

@Dark The problem isn't per si with combat. In fact, combat there works very well, its very detailed. The problem is that the game uses a longdescription system (a long-haired light-skinned blue-eyed man). In some situations, this gets too spammy specially when there are many players likein a crowded tavern, for example. Thats why triggers are necessary to substitute the long descriptions for the players names.

I'll put together several stand-outs for a so-called dream team. Bear in mind that when I started using that term to denote my own, it wasn't because I flat-out knew mine was going to rock. It's good, but it doesn't rock as hard as I'd like. it was partially sarcastic. Frankly we just don't have all the info yet.So here's the info.Banyardan: Good attack and speed, excellent plant-earth coverage, good support moves that can inflict status, self-buff in Sharpen, self-healing moveFiendour: Undead type, gets both Clobber and Crunch for undead+standard coverage, very respectable stats, Desoul for HP drain and healing, Horrify for more status, Stifle to shut down special attacks, Black Mana which is a nice way to yank half a manamon's max HP even if it only has 2 use pointsFauntazaur: Excellent HP and good defenses, pure water typing and good water coverage in Drench, nice buff move in Dissonant Chime (speed -1, defense a
 nd special defense both +1), some half-decent extra support with AquaZap, Mud Ball, Pummel or SlamDramagon: Very balanced stats, gets Drench, Dragon Fang and later DracoBreaker, gets Wind Force fairly early, Rehydrate (starts healing a little every round), not too many weaknesses and quite a few resistancesMondevol: High HP, solid attack stats (most good attacks are special, or should be), decent coverage with electric-magic typing, only a few exploitable weaknessesErroir: Standard-electric type that hits like a truck and has good HP, gets Sparking Tail and Slash for coverageHoundorf: Probably best pure ice type due to high speed, good special defense and decent attack, runs HydroFang to cover its stone and flame weakness, runs Frostbite as a nice powerful physical ice move, gets Crunch for standard coverageArctana: fights Houndorf for best ice type, extra water type gives it a few resistances and a few different weaknesses, high speed and special attac

@Figment, Vipmud from Gma games can actually be used for free, it's just that the paid version has the miner restriction that you can't use msp, which is a way of playing sounds in certain muds, it also logs you out after two hours, though you can usually just log back in. I used it free for quite some time. Your welcome to try mushclient, many people prefer it, just if your avoiding Vipmud for reasons of payment that's probably not a good idea. I confess roleplay isn't my thin in muds either, most of the muds I play tend to be either the rpg combat heavy ones like alteraeon and aardwolf, or the ones that offer lots of interesting activities like clok which has crafting and exploring the wilderness and logging and all sorts of other things. how much harshlands is rp enforced and how much based on it's activities I don't know.If your into the infocom adventures though Figment, I'd recommend Frandom, it's heavily based on e
 xploring, doing quests and earning achivements, though it has a little combat and some other in game aspects that wouldn't have been seeen in the infocom days. Also I'd recommend alteraeon on general principles as just an awesome audio rpg with the MushZ addon and a down right well crafted game.@Kaio, if people are using triggers to play the game out of preference fair enough, however I'm a little concerned if triggers are a must! for combat. I was rather putoff a couple of other muds for this reason, I attempted to play, found the games text too spammy for me to keep up with but was told "oh just write some triggers" which was a major putoff since I was just trying the games ut. I don't mind if people make triggers as an extra, but I don't like the idea if the game is too spammy to actually be  played without. Most games are okay, even combat heavy ones like Aardwolf, but a couple just aren't.As to how to create less 
 spammy combat, simply let players adjust the prompt, and abbreviate the information. For example instead of "the goblin swings at you with it's onyx axe, it hits doing 15 damage, you have a few cuts and bruises, you attack the goblin, your sword cleaves through the air, you hit and do 10 damage, the goblin is injured" Just have "the goblin swings at you and hits, you swing at the goblin and hit, the goblin is injured" and let players customize their prompt to show changes in hp or have commands like hp and cn that give instant readouts of you and the enemy's condition.Six dragons does an absolutely amazing job of this, though it is not the only game.

Hah. I'm probably one of the few people who really doesn't mind vista. yes it's a resource hog, but it's been pretty good for me. As far as program files, in Windows 10 I've found the easiest way to get there is to hit Windows key e and get there through windows explorer. From there you can pin stuff to your desktop, and generally do whatever you would do otherwise. Same thing goes for the documents folder, music, etc.

i tried running regsvr32 circumsapi.dll and after that restarted NVDA it still can't load the voice other problem is I can't remove the voices I added out of the sapi5 voices list. guess if worst comes to worse I can just hit reset this pc and have it wipe everything and reinstall windows10... hopefully I won't have to do that though.

The things I'm about to say might be covered by the game, but I don't think so, given the feedback I'm seeing.1. You said you had an "interact" function, but scrapped it because you didn't want people just randomly hitting a key to find stuff. This could be neatly sidestepped by giving every item its own distinct sound. It doesn't have to be a fast, annoying or loud sound (a jacket left on the floor might rustle every few seconds, an oxygen tank might let out a wheeze or two now and then), and you may think it clutters the ambiance. Jumping the gun is fine. Games like this do lend themselves to frustration of all kinds. If I sometimes respond with frustration, it's because I've seen it all before, being a pokemon veteran, hundreds of times. To me, it gets old. That's not a poke at you, it's a statement on how well-embroiled in the older pokemon metagames I was, and how accustomed to all the old complaints I used to be.Personally, while I wholeheartedly understand that games of this type need to be somewhat luck-based, I've always thought that the huge, huge randomness of capture devices (pokeballs, mananets, etc) is just overkill. I mean, unless the creature has a way to get away, is just too damn strong or will kill itself, you're gonna get it eventually. The low capture rate is just an artificial money sink.So...yeah, gonna throw the question open right now.I would like to borrow at least one manamon over the next, say, four or five days. Not tonight, but b
 eginning maybe tomorrow or Sunday. A few conditions:1. You can have in return a Mutmo if you don't yet have one, or my Polosses; its stats aren't awesome and I can't breed it, but you can have it, no strings attached. alternatively you can have my Domestress for keeps; she's not suiting my playstyle, but her stats are pretty much excellent across the board.2. You must be able to host a trade. I can't3. I'm after either a really high-level Polosses that's suitably trained to take advantage of its attack stat (level 60+, please), or any of the big mythicals (Irroadium, Tabalus, Peggisen or Ziognius). Hi,The program I use is called mnlp editor, but the gui is not very accessible, so I have to use nvda's object navigation to use the program. So far, I have recorded 2000 phrases and it is still compiling after about 8 hours. The compilation process uses a lot of ram and cpu. Once when I was compiling, The application was using 97% cpu and 4.7 gb of ram. The system that I record and compile this on is a del xps 13 9350 with a 2.20 ghz Intel Core I7 processer with 16 gb of ram. I use a Braillenote Apex with a patch cable to record the samples.

This sounds highly entertaining. Suggestion, rather than the boing sound you get when he swings to either side, you can record some vocals of someone pretending to fall to either side. Then when he stands up straight again he can maybe do a "phiew" sound or something like that. Other things that might be entertaining to implement if you can would be maybe him throwing up if he goes down a slope too fast, after which he would be dizzy and more likely to swing left or right. Just a few thoughts. Keep up the good work.

I've stopped working on the project because the code was just too difficult to handle (it takes like 10 minutes for it to open the file and compile, no kidding) because of some very seriously bad coding practices. The reason why it's such bloated software is because of this.The features of completing the game are all there, it's just that I really haven't had the motivation or the time to go and fix it, especially considering how much of a mess it is to debug and test.Game maker code for the most part is accessible through the script files, however there are issues with a few parts of the interface that I've heard about. To add to maric's point : if you seek clok soundpack for mush, the stable, easier to set up one is by Sneak, aka Coanid in clok. I recoded the extended version of that pack that is harder to set up but with more sounds floating somewhere in the forum as well. If you need stabler, easier to set up version, go for the original one. If you need something more of a deal, harder to set up but worth it, I wouldn't mind helping uou set up my pack. Thank you.

well jake is using festival for windows the festival voice-building tools and he is recording keynote gold multimedia using talking dosbox to make it say different phrases into .wav files. and that is all I know for now.

Phil, why do you use Vista? I found a rather interesting way of passing that operating system by, but people told me that it was a nightmare to use. Dark, remember that there are lots of tutorials for learning to use Windows 10 with a screen reader. I haven't heard of any that Dolphin has made, but there are general ones that apply to most screen readers, though learning to use it should not present too much of a problem.

A few things:If I haven't said so before, thanks to one and all who are using and enjoying the guide. It's one tiresome slog writing it, I can tell you. I might do a little more tonight. Maybe get to Opal Bay or to Verlorene. Am seriously, seriously not looking forward to fighting Irroadium and may consider asking someone if I can borrow (yes, just borrow) a really stupidly high level mythical (or maybe a few of them) to just utterlly wreck that beast.I had a talk with a friend of mine shortly ago, and he did bring up something I haven't touched on. With the work Aaron has put in on Manamon, it's entirely possible he's burnt himself out. Given the way VG Storm titles have gone in the past, this might be the genesis of the cycle. Hard work, huge aspirations, followed by a brief but fairly intense period of wipeout during which the very thought of tinkering is unpleasant.Of course, it could be that Aaron would be all too happy to work on 
 Manamon but just doesn't agree with the bunch of us who know his game would be improved tenfold in the ways we've suggested. But burnout isn't impossible, so I'll remain patient, if a little dubious.Tylovile learns Blaze Rampage at 42 or 43 I think. And no, I don't think it learns Night Stick. Mortrex does though, and since it's a physical attack, Mortrex doesn't do as well with it as it would if it were a special attack.So yeah. For Tylovile's flame moves I think you get Fire Breath, then Fireball Flurry, then Blaze Rampage, then Flame Blizzard. It also gets Scourge Tail and I think Sneer for lowering defense by one stage.By comparison, Banyardan gets Batter Branch, then Berserk Branch, then a really iffy Solar Cannon. Plus Earthquake, best earth move in the game, hands down. Plus the various debilitating sprays. Plus Sharpen. Plus Photosynthesis.Fauntazaur gets Tidal Wave, then AquaZap, then Drench I think. But it al
 so gets Dissonant Chime, Mud Ball, Slam and Pummel, so it's got a fair amount of coverage, plus a ton of HP and solid defenses.Tylovile...just doesn't compare to those. He's...well, he struggles to even be decent. Fauntazaur is quite good. Banyardan is excellent.

Votrax would be a little easier to replicate, as it normally has a flat tone with no algorithm unlike Keynote, which already has one. For what's been done, though, this is a pretty good keynote replica so far. The only way to truly replicate keynote would be to record utterances on a flat tone, and then program the algorithm manually, but seeing as Keynote is not a diphone or hmm-based voice, even that would be questionable.

I love your guide Jade.  Though I'm currently only using it for hidden items, and only using as a last resort if I get horribly stuck, as I want to try and figure stuff out on my own as much as possible, but you're doing a great job and I can see myself using it much more in future.  As has been said before, with the potential this game has, it would be such a shame if it got dropped.  If I'm being completely honest, if it does get dropped fairly quickly, even though I would love a sequel; I would be far less inclined to buy another vg storm product because of all the untapped potential on this one.   So what I'm saying is, keep up the great work you're doing.  I really want this to continue and not be completely dropped in a couple of months

ok, so this is odd.I am having the same issue as you are, both on my phone and on internet explorer. However, when I use google krome, it seems to work just fine. I have no idea why, but it's annoying, because krome is not my primary browzer. It doesn't work great with jaws. Also, is it just my internet, or has anyone noticed that the forum is going rather slowly at the moment?

Moderation! As everyone undoubtedly knows, posting of hacks or commercial games without paying is absolutely and totally forbidden on the forum. The status of semi abandoned games that are no longer available though is a rather problematic one, since on the one hand it's completely true that nobody would be harmed if the games were posted, and with the lack of accessible games it's definitely really sad when something just plane drops off the map without a trace simply because the developers can't be bothered with it anymore. On the other, the problem is the game's owners do still own the right to the games and could start selling them tomorrow. This is not really a boundry I'd want to push on the forum I'm afraid, particularly with the fact that we do know people in the
  community who freely take the "supporting developers by buying their games" as something of an optional extra.So, The answer is no, we can't officially have links to download the malinch games on the forum. That being said, what happens off! the forum via people's email isn't our business, and while if a person was found to own a hacked copy of a commercial game like say manamon they'd likely be in trouble, if someone who had the malinch games were to make a kind present of them to their friends via email but happened to be unable to pay malinch for said presents, well that wouldn't really be an affair for the forum would it? . @Madgamer, welcome to the forum.  " or "open box with key" A great many of these games exist through a long running hobby community and can be extremely experimental. I confess I don't play as much traditional interactive fiction of this type myself since I found getting stuck on guess the verb type of situations or illogical puzzles frustrating, but there are some good examples kicking around such as andrew plotkin's dreamhold, the exceptional Worlds appart, Babel, Paul Obrians Lash or earth and sky series, or Pytho's mask. These are available as Guiatarman said on the If archive, though you'll need an interactive fiction interpreter such as winfrotz, or wintads to play them depending upon the game.Traditional If has it's moments, but other than some if role playing games which include combat and more rpg like tactics such as Kerkerkruip and Eamon deluxe, I tend to prefer gamebooks. The reason platform isn't available as a search criteria on the db, is that a lot of games have multiple platforms, or changing and unusual platform info. There is however a rather neat work around, since one specific genre of game we note is mmorpg, or massively multiplayer online role playing game, most of which are browser based. It's also worth checking out stratogy games since some games like core exiles fall into both categories. You can also check out www.whitestic.co.uk and their games to play online page. I'd personally recommend Core exiles, warriors 2, Puppet nightmares, Sryth, Kingdom of loathing  or drakor, though there are lots out there to choose from. hth.

Hello.I've had a Reddit account for about 5 months now. I'd like to use it, however i cannot due to captchas. I'd like to know how peple get past these Captchas?I'm aware of WebVism but I have found that I am unable to download it when using the latest version of Firefox.Also the WebVism addon does not let you take more than 10 Captchas a day, from what I remember.How do those who use Reddit on a regular basis get past the Captchas?

Frankly While I don't believe your last message to PHil was intended to be insulting, it does rather read more like a putdown or an excuse to jump down Phil's throat, particularly with dragging in matters from totally different topics. Remember, there is no tonal _expression_ on the forum, thus even when telling someone they are incorrect one needs to take care. [ a-t ] GiovaniOK, here is what I found.My copy of MSE doesn't produce a virus alert on the GMA Dice installer or the program itself, I'd first go to the update tab and get the lates virus database. See if that helps.Because many of the GaMA Games titles weren't written with the UAC in Vista and newer versions of Windows, some of them won't run properly if you install them in Program File, so What I did was, when the installer asks where to install the game's files, I change "Program Files" to "GMA Games", so for GMA Dice, instead of "C:\Program Files\GMA Dice", I put in "C:\GMA Games\GMA Dice".Doing that moves the games out from under UAC's control, and unlike GMA Games suggestion to install the games in your Documents folder, doesn't mix documents with programs.hth

so the game never got beyond a first session of actual play because of life, but I am still here and generally willing to set up a game for interested people. if you are interested in some sort of pen and paper RPG let me know and maybe we'll be able to set something up.I am already running a wrestling themed game on sunday mornings, that is about to start back up, but I can also do superheroes, fantasy, science fiction, or any other type of game you'd like.

Ironcross, are you possibly using the really old VIP soundpack, the one claiton or what ever his name worked on? that one cause a lot of lag for some folk because of the large number of scripts and gagging. there is a slight delay between sending a command and response, but I've rarely seen that go longer than a second. I also am more than happy to help people out in clok. I play maric, but also have a number of other characters i dust off from time to time, and there is not much I don't have at least a little experience with at this point.

Hi.I would have posted this much earlier, but I have hoped to get a reply from the company who have made the game, because I took a lot of time writing a mail explaining how I've managed to play a bit of the game, and I've wrote a lot of suggestions which would make the game close to 100% accessible for us. But sadly, I haven't heard from them yet, and I don't know if I should try to send my mail again, or if no answer means that they aren't interested.So, I also posted an edited version of  the mail I wrote to them on the Playstation forum, to hopefully get some attention public, but only one reply so far. So if you have any ideas on where to post to get more attention, I would really like to hear about it.So, instead of writing all this again, I'll post a link to my post on the Playstation forum. I tried my best to explain to people who don't know how to play console games as a blind gamer to hopefully get peoples attention. Here is the link. On a mostly unrelated note, I've gotten to wondering about some manamon names.Okay, so Steelion is a combination of "steel" and "stallion", and Redonkius makes me think of ridiculous donkeys. Many others, like Tigrath, Hydrake, Pythor, Terruffalo and Fiendour all have Pokemon-esque inspirations for their names...which is to say, the name is either a pun, a clever combination of characteristics or some sort of reference to another language or some such.But with that said, there are a few I just don't get.Tarba and TarbooSquarpha (particularly with that spelling)Montor/MondevolAutoson/TitomatonLamgurkSansurin/SansurgionDrabao/Dragetull/Dragomier (I feel like the "dra" prefix was slapped onto halfway-logical bits of phrase and yielded manamon names here)Guerrerrol (closest I can come up with is kind of a play on both "gorilla" and "guerrilla", but even that's 
 a stretch)Rhinodyo (here's one that actually makes sense, but the game pronoounces and spells it so that it sounds like "rye-no-dee-oh" when shouldn't it be "rye-naw-dee-oho"? Flame_alchemist - most modern games do not use a readme file outside of helping set up the game. While this function is incomplete, on most menus you can press F1 to hear which key corresponds with what. You can navigate the whole game with just z,x, space, enter, the directional keys and backspace (rarely). The additional keys are for referencing various stats and other game information, similar to Braillemon.

just popping in to say hey. CLOK is going strong, some great changes have been made to make the grind a bit better, lots of great events going on, which is great because you can really see the world change around you, many times because of things you've personally done, and beyond that, the rich engaging world is only growing better by the day. Yeah it's true, that right now player counts are on the low side, but the funny thing about that, if you sign in,  that's already gotten a bit better.So come on by, the players are largely friendly, and more than happy to help you get startted, and the devs are always learking about doing things to make things more fun. Also, and I add thisbecause some folk are always nervous of it, the game is completely screenreader friendly, and the devs go out of their way to make sure it remains so, from the in game map to the website you can do everything anyone else can. I will admit that if you like to pla

hello I want to let you all know that Jake otherwise known as datajake on the forum here is making a keynote gold voice. a modern one a sapi5 one for windows xp win7 win8 and win10 and beyond. well not sure about xp but at least win7. So, I finally got around to translating the manual and setting up a save file that already has the AI and commands set up. The manual is directly translated from Q Translate, but I changed some of it to help make it look more like English because I know enough Japanese to translate almost the whole thing. Once you download the file, move save.rb and save1.rb in to the game folder. Start the game and choose load from the main menu. If you moved the correct files, it will load and once you play the game, you will now be controlling user1 or move as it is if you're using character make up witch is described in the manual. I already changed the 3 people with character make up. You can change the names in the status menu, just don't use character make up. This is because character make up is for changing stats. For example, say you changed user1 to move but wrote it in English and not in Japanese, or even if you wrote it the correct way of saying it in Japanese and not the way that it is in tenchijousen, the stat modification wouldn't work. So, make suru you don't change it in character make up. The AI settings are done, don't change them unless you want to play around with AI.
