I hear you, and I thought, and still do think, much the same thing.From what  I've been able to find out, you need either 6 months of experience in the IT field, or an equivalent amount of training. I would presume you must provide proof of this before you can even take the A+ exam. I am not going to go into the experience I had that should have given me this equivalent training on a public forum, but it screwed me over. Enough said. Anyway, I hope you have better luck than I did obtaining this training. Because, frankly, college isn't everything, especially in this day and age. So it's refreshing to see that someone else believes that life doesn't end just because you don't have a diploma, which inevitably leads to lots of money, 4 kids, a lovely, well-tended house, and all the rest, right?

Also, we all knew before installing the add-on that its legality was questionable. So I don't see why anyone should throw a fit about that now.As for using Narrator in place of NVDA, you do know that you could just use a Sappi5 voice with NVDA, right? True, it would lag like hell, but if you're hell bent on using NVDA, it can be done. And, amazingly, I've also found that Sappi4 voices tend to be more responsive than Sappi5, at least under Windows 10. There are also a couple of other open source packages that can be obtained for use with NVDA. They don't float my boat personally, but they might be better than ESpeak for some folks.

You know, if he just put the sources on his site, that wouldn't surprise me. Now as for Luis, no offense but I don't know why you're thinking this has anything to do with Nuance and Acapela's license agreement. Ok, he violated the license agreements by distributing those voices for free, plain and simple. But the agreements only go as far as that. The fact that malware was laced in with said package has absolutely nothing to do with the license agreements, nor is it even remotely related to them. I'm in no way trying to defend him, just setting the record straight, there is no license violation beyond distributing the voices for free. Technically the only other violation I could think of would be a possible gpl violation considering the nature of the addon, it being compiled and all, but this is way beyond an addon and when that python code gets autoremoved, you could pretty much considering it unaddonified altogether, since all the readable python code is

Yes, exactly! You might be surprised about how big Vancouver's game development scene is! It is a huge games industry hub with everything from mobile indies to the biggest console publishers... some recognisable names include EA (the FIFA and NFL games are all made in Vancouver), Capcom, Nintendo, Namco. There are a good amount of developer meetups, for example the full indie meetup next due to happen on Dec 15th that currently has 100 devs signed up for it.And not forgetting Seattle, which has everything from Valve to Microsoft to Bungie.Shame I didn't know you were there when they had a virtual reality hackathon not too long ago.I've hit up a couple of Vancouver contacts, will see what they say.

I live in Vancouver. We don't get any developer meetup groups here very often... but I get what you're saying. It just so happens the only people I can easily talk to are people who aren't involved at all about development or who don't care. As for being focused on accessibility as a general concept, I do admit my focus is vision... and that's quite obvious. But it certainly isn't as easy as just focusing on it as a general issue when you see areas being improved in every area except for yours. But you have a good point... and I do my best to see the whole picture, as you said. the fact that they're even starting to care about accessibility at all in the gaming industry says a lot compared to how it used to be.

Hi all,Over the last year or so, I've been trying to find something I might be able to do. I graduated high school in June and spent the next 4 months trying to get into an Apple Store job position. When I finally got an interview in October, I quickly realized it wasn't for me. Now, I'm looking into some other options. I came across the CompTIA A+ certification. I'd like to work in some kind of IT or technical support role, so thought this might help get me started. Does anyone have any information on this? HOw should I proceed? Would it be better for me to go to an actual school or center where I could get hands on instructions from a human? How blind friendly is the whole process? I'd much rather take a $200 or so test than waste 2 or 4 years at a College or other bullshit.

hello allgood to see a few getting into this mud. i really enjoy it for the most part.though one issue i am coming across is tasks or quests, which ever you prefer.Sadly the only way to improve stats is through tasks, which isn't too bad.But the issue for me is, that it is hard to find any. I really expected many tasks but either they are to a minimum or just very scatterred and hidden.So i thoguht, if anyone else was having trouble finding tasks, i could list a few here. I won't spoil how to do them, but i am happy to give locations.The more simplier ones are along cities. So i have done those in arborea, elvandar, and the underground.If anyone has questions about them let me know and i am happy to help.enjoy!

Updated the project to properly play a sound effect when play mode is entered and when it is left again. The sound might be a little loud, let me know and I'll tune it down.By the way: All three sound effects in there are public domain licensed, so there are no legal issues using them.

we also need more uses for gems. Currently the most expensive thing that costs gems are boards and the castle one is 25. I think it would be cool if we could:buy blue crystal (10 gems)Buy a battle skipper that lets you skip an opponent in a gym if you've beaten him already, but not the final one, for like 70 gems, so you could more easily replay a gym to unlock more cardsPlay a solo micro game party for 24 gemsI know that apparently you have to have gems to start 6-turn battle parties but I think that's the only use for gems that I don't know completely about because I can't host on my college internet.

Hi.@ke7zum if  you mean Control p remember that it's not Always accurate. You may have passed it by accent as you Went back from Praag to Greece. I usually head back to the first Airport in the Eastern part of the country Before setting corse to Greece. Or usually, lol I only did it once. (twice if you Count the time I failed ^^ )I don't Think the game's at fault, I'd blame a law of physics I can't describe with Words. ^^ or I'm just stupid

Hi.At last post, no, they mostly did single fights, sometimes you has a team of two or three gladiators fighting each other.The only battles they had with some hundret people were an imitation of naval battles with roman battle ships for example.

Well, quick update. The game just hung on mission 3.0. I was fixing to land at bad weather and everything just hung. The dev says this is rare in windows 7, but why is this happening to all of us with windows 7 machines all the time?This makes no sense.

I find it very confusing as to why some people get speed hack all the time, it never happened to me. @darren: the tracking system, p, w and jumping a lot are your friends in this game. other than that I can't advise you because there are a lot of items and weapons and you must develop your own strategies. how you fight depends a lot on what items you have and what your preferred weapon is. for example if you see someone right infront of you but too far away like 100 feet you can quickly switch to the rifle and shoot him down. If you are fighting in close range and the other guy doesn't have shields then the shotgun is the best option because it has a wider range. if the distance is around 30 feet then I would advise you to use grenades. ah and if you are in close combat and the other guy has shields you can try the chianide pistol or the fireballs. and the most important rule... when you are in a battle never walk, it's too slow, it's better to keep jumpi
 ng around because the other player can't hear your footsteps so he doesn't know which direction you're heading. Good luck!

Another alternative is that both are actually right and you're wrong. Stefan pointed helpfully out to me when I told him about Airports ending up in odd locations that  for example the Bratislava Airport is located in a small village outside of Bratislava so if you go there on the map naturally it wouldn't be named Bratislava.

hi. go to where your rar or zip file is located and hit alt to bring up the menu. navigate with the down arrow untill you hear the extracting options, you can extract to the folder where file is located, you can choose a place where to extract if you select the option extract to or you have the option to extract it to a folder with the same name as the file, I usually choose this option. if you want to create a folder with the same name just hit enter on the corresponding option and it will start extracting.

I was going to ask actually where this puts us in terms of game accessibility? I mean yes it's great that these consoles now have tts I'm not knocking that at all! but at the moment that's not enough for me to shed out the money to go buy one. what about the games themselves. at the moment the games don't work with the tts. which I'm sure in the long term that's the eventual goal to have them work with it? so yes my question is really where does this realistically put us in terms of being able to play the titles right out of the box. without having to memorise menu's get help to memorise menu's, then of course to play the games themselves. how far away are we realistically from all that?

@Slender this was the only time the guy admitted there was a virus, and back at that time he said that the virus wasn't intentionally put by him, so if we were to apply this rule, all other viruses were put on purpose except that one present in his old IDM crack for version 5 or something. But in all cases, he isn't innocent if you look at Sam's last post which means that he knows there is a malware in Blind Extra; not only that, but he surely is also the one who put them on purpose to harm others' computers whenever he likes. Fortunately his site is no longer there, and deleting the add-on properly will put you on the safe shore.

@Slender this was the only time the guy admitted there was a virus, and back at that time he said that the virus wasn't intentionally put by him, so if we were to apply this rule, all other viruses were put on purpose except that one present in his old IDM crack for version 5 or something. But in all cases, he isn't innocent if you look at Sam's last post which means that he knows there is a malware in Blind Extra; not only that, but he surely is also the one who put them on purpose to harm others' computers whenever he likes.

Since our last update, Frandum now has:- Automatic alignment: if you want to join a cult, find the main temple, pray and follow a unique ceremony managed directly by the game's NPCs- A whole new craft: tanning.
