Hi, another question. When playing with NVDA the speech gets interupted, for example if i am tracking someone with o and then i press up arrow to move forward the track report is stopped. Same for if i have the chat enabled, if i am holding the arrow keys then i don't get messages. any ideaas how to fix this.

Hi. I personally use Internet download manager, also known as IDM. It's payed, but it has a lot of features and is very accessible. Also, it's errors are very descriptive and when a download fails it will always have a solution to continue it.

I thought rugby was somewhat similar to american football, different rules, but in general, the same game, but I don't know for sure.American football also has some strategy involved, as one play or other for the offensive side may have failed, leaving with with 3rd and long, this means essentially that they're on 3rd down and have quite a distance to the 1st down marker. They can try to make up this with a big pass, but the defense will be anticipating. If they do manage to gain some of the yardage back, but not all, they're gonna have to decide what to do on 4th down. 4th down can be interesting in certain circumstances, its not always black and white, where if you're more than 50 yards, you punt it away, and if you're less, you make a field goal attempt. If a team is behind, and they think they have a shot, they can run a normal play. There's nothing saying you can't use 4th down to to pass or run the ball, sometimes it works out for the
 m, in which case they get a 1st down, and are happy as shit. There's also a 2 point conversion, which isn't done all that often, and I forget how you go about it. I think the way it works is this. Normally, when you get a touch down i.e you run the ball into the end zone, or into the goal, or you pass it to a receiver who either catches it while already inside the zone, or catches it and runs the short distance into the end zone, you then get 6 points. But, you have the option to try for the extra point. This involves kicking the ball through the uprights, just like a field goal, and you're very close to it so unless the other team puts up a good block, the extra point is usually successful. But, if you're trailing by a few, and time is starting to run out, you can try for the extra point. This is where I'm a bit uncertain, I think its almost like rerunning the touchdown, you can either try to run the ball in, or pass it to a receiver, but, the difference is
  you have the entire defensive side on your ass, so its risky. If you try to run the ball in, you gotta make sure your guys can open up a hole for the running back to make it through. If you pass, the defense will break through the offensive line and put pressure on the quarterback. So, he's gonna have to try to make a good pass. The risks are that if he makes an off balance, or off handed pass, it might be incomplete, i.e. it never hit its intended receiver, or it was not caught. Either that or get sacked. So, on a passing play there's gonna be a lot of pressure on the QB. I don't understand safeties either, except I know they have to deal with the offensive team's end zone, and are worth 2 points. So a score in american football is going to be the sum of the numbers  2, 3, 6 or 7. If you know that, and you missed some of the game, you can look at the scoreboard, and narrow it down to one or two things that might have happened while you were away.

Well as you can gather from my absence on the forum recently, I've been very busy with the house moving, indeed this is the first post I'm writing from my new house, though I'm having to use my laptop since my desktop is still in bits in a box down stairs in a room which is in the process of having wall paper put on it . The place is very gradually starting to look less like a disaster in awarehouse and a 
 little more like an actual place where people live with furniture and such, though it'll take a while until everything is fixed, and I will admit both Mrs. Dark and I are rather stressed at the moment, one reason site updates and such have had to wait as I've not really had time or energy to spend too much on games recently, though I do hope to get back to alteraeon today. On the plus side we now finished Robin Hobb's fool's assassin trilogy which is a really major end to the series, though the last book is probablye darkest thing Hobb has ever written. Indeed Aria Stark has a pretty solid competitor for toughest ten year old in fiction in Bee Farseer . I don't know whether I'll review the book, but I would like to. One thing we do need to do is see what is in this town. My efforts to find pizza places the other night something o
 f a disaster since unless I told Siri to limit the search to "places within ten miles" the first thigns it kept bringing up were in Peter burgh, which is fourty miles away! So we finished up at dominoes which is horribly expensive, about 14 quid for an eight inch pizza, that's about 22 dollars. It's okay if you get a so called Deal which just means it's about the same price as everywhere elsee, and their actual is okay but not particularly fantastic, we're going to need to ask around and see what we can find hre. On the plus we no longer have a half hour walk to the nearest supermarket which will help quite a lot with buying general food type of things, ditto with the train station so we'll see.Either way, moving house is definitely not! fun, albeit it'll probably be worth while in the end,  we hope.

This is exactly why we're worried about people requesting full versions of games. Shard workshop  very much still around, it's just that they haven't produced another audiogame since 2014 and have been making graphical games instead, but their old games are still available, see This page for details of zero site. I'd strongly recommend both Zero site games, as they're great fun, very random and also extremely detailed and customizable, and of course if people maintain interest in their audiogames they might be more likely to make more of them.

Moderation! Since we don't have an mm topic in new releases, I'll move this there. Heck, even if we had, a new version justifies a new topic anyway, and this looks like a very major changelog. Mm is one of these games I've been meaning to try after my moderately disasterous first go at the game back I 2010 where I had to go through the newbie zone three times to actually get anything before I levelled myself too high, and then found I'd levelled myself too high for most other marks and couldn't do autoquests because of the timers. Either way, apparently those sorts of things are fixed now and if there are more fixes for those crystals and what not that sounds helpful. I particularly like the idea of a "mark suggest" command to stop me having the first few problems I did, and freer multiclassing sounds good since I always through the system was a wee bit over complex, especially with how if you chose the wrong classes you could
  apparently screw yourself out of a lot of stuff, I even recall some people saying that once  had been through all the multiclassing and became  arken they found themselves basically unlable to function due to stat problems etc.Unfortunately with coffee mud, lensmoor and such I still have more muds to try so when I get to this one goodness knows.

I can't speak for this game specifically, but just because it's based on Hellmoo doesn't necessarily mean it's an unoriginal game. Wayfare1444 was an awesome game, nothing like Hellmoo in theme but apparently built of Hellmoo code but without most of the glory in obscenity that characterised hellmoo and is why I've never really cared to try the game. So it's entirely possible neuclear legend has something new to try that Hellmoo doesn't.

So I'm just trying to figure this out from the player point of view.  If X is side to side movement, and y is front to back, and if 90 degrees makes the ball move along y, front to vack, then that would mean that the player actually starts out facing 90 degrees.  Is that correct?  Meaning that 180 degrees would go to the player's left, and 270 degrees would be behind the player.  Is that right?  I never knew that.  thought that facing straight ahead would be 0, 90 to the right, 180 behind me, and 270 directly left.

@Jayde with respect to my equipment I do a compare job when I run into new things, and upgrade when I find better druid cast gear, or occasionally gear with the same druid cast level and wisdom or mana boosts, though I do now have a mana regen set. This is working given that currently I'm level 29 and my druid spells are level 42, though sometimes I throw a few mage spells in there for variety and because I like seeing what different spells do, not to mention  course when I need elemental damage. The one thing I do need to do is learn some cleric spells, since currently I don't have  armour, bless or faithshield, and those could be useful even at low levels with cleric being my third class and thief my fourth. I did it that way so I would have lots of mana regen.As to alter and when things become difficult, with my previous attempt at a cleric warrior char I did find  point where the game was just no longer fun, I was stuck between regri
 nding areas I'd already been through, and unable to go to any high level ones. That started around level 24 and got progressively worse, and when I was getting killed at level 27 in level 25 areas the game was just plane depressing. With my druid mage things are just so much easier it's almost funny, that annoying vampire aside, indeed he was quite a surprise given how laughably easy all the mutant creatures in the caves of pestilence seemed to be. I'll also say I find Alter one of the easiest games to pick up and get immersed in after  absence between the game and the client there are so many commands to remember what your doing where, eg, sk to list skills by proficiency, also unlike a game like Materiamagica equipment balancing, at least when I'm going just for druid cast level is relatively easy, meaning I don't constantly have to change equipment as I do in a game like aardwolf.Btw, interesting breakdown on necro minians, though
  I wonder how druid minians stack up? Liveoaks are great tanks, but not as good for doing damage, so at the moment my usual is one live oak with a crystal coat and either a brown bear or a lion. The lion has less staying power than the bear, but does more damage over all. that combo also leaves me some control points free for things like an earth wall and poisoned vines should I need them, indeed that might have been the problem with said vampire.

On my druid char, I often run around with a moose. They have crazy HP and they hit like trucks. Then I either Tempest or Gust everything, or use Fist of the Earth if possible. That spell is wicked strong.Your gear isn't terrible, Dark, it's just not optimal, that's all. Once I get my druid back up to 28-29 I may be able to be more specific.Cleric warrior is kind of hard to play...but yeah, if you really don't have armor/faith shield, get them ASAP. You'll be less squishy that way.My necro-cleric is now level 28 and on the mainland, got her first death the other day in a stupid situation where I was an idiot and lost my clay man too soon (in a centaur village near Ralnoth). Anyway, it didn't matter much, as I only lost about 300k in exp.

Dark, Wayfar was built from the ground up. These jokers took a stock HellMOO database which was leaked and are attempting to start a game with it. The admin also tried telling me they got permission to use the database and that the current HellMOO admins did not develop the original Hell database. Ascencially, it'd be like someone using the Cosmos database to run a game.

FL Studio is kind of stupid anyway, as others have already pointed out, You'd be better off with a DAW like REAPER or Sonar. FL Studio, however, does allow you to create/use different skins, so something like that might enable a possibility for an accessible screenreader plugin.

I've updated the Sonus to run 16 channels of audio. The G D E is yet to be updated to accomidate the increase in TTS and Audio channels but I'll get around to it soon.At the moment there is no online capabilities in the Sonus, although if we are serious about including python scripts its something I should look into doing so we can import our own libraries.The idea of the sonus is to not have a visual display.Games will be stored on external media and so will the saved data.It is built to be a stand-alone device but you could maybe split the audio output and feed it as an audio input into a PC if you wish to record it.There is no native form of multiplayer and the entire algorithm for playing games would need to be changed to incorperate it. but if we include internet access then maybe our own custom python scripts can make this possible.No braile display either I'm affraid.And I will try to make as much documentation
  and help for people as I can. I will be able to focus more on this when the project is finalized.I've also made a twitter list because of your suggestions, I have no idea how ot use twitter but I will work it out lolI'm also thinking of scrapping the cartidge idea all together. My new idea to battle piracy is for the sonus to look for a code on the games usb stick that will only work with that particular console. This means games would all have to be downloaded or purchased from one location which could generate the codes, like a play store.People can make games and uplaod them to the play store, and select if they want them to be free or if they want to sell them. When downloaded we generate a code to be downloaded as well. This means each Sonus would need a serial number that would be entered whenever downloading a game to make sure they get the right code to make the game work. Or alternatively we will also have an automated phone system for non-int
 ernet users who can order games to be delivered on a usb stick with the code already on it.What are our thoughts on this idea, I believe it would be easier from my side and it puts all the library of games in one place for easy shopping. I see big futures for this game ... it would be really cool if in the game had insects like bees that could fly behind the player and would also be nice if honey were added from the bees besides animals like lion and tiger ... would be really cool! And this part of the climate of the heat and cold I'm liking. All I need is a couple of adjustments mainly in the heat, because I've never seen the heat increase hunger. These are my comments on the version, apart from this, the game is a lot of fun !!!

Sorry for taking so long to jump into this topic, I saw it, but figured that no one would even try to buy this, but it seems like you guys are not convinced yet.  I have this on my PC.  I bought it for my housemate.  His PC can't run it, so I installed it on mine.I have been watching him play it a bit, and I promise it is not playable.  Navigation aside, the battles are very tough, and if you die a certain amount of times your save gets permanently deleted.  This is a game designed to be difficult.   It is one of their selling points and it actively punishes you for not being good enough.  The combat system relies heavily on well timed parries and blocks, and sometimes there are a lot of enemies around you.  There are times where I cannot tell how many enemies there are, much less from where they are attacking and when exactly they are going to swing or if they can even reach.  I did not try tweaking the sound settings 
 to try and make it work for me though, but that is mostly because I can tell when I am just going to waste my time.There are puzzles that require you to see things too, as in focus on them with the camera, not just know where they are.  As for the voices, they mostly either insult you, contribute to the story, or let you know that you are dying.  They will not assist with navigation at all.If anyone has any further questions, I will try and answer them.  I can even ask my friend to test things while he is playing, but I think it would be a waste of money to buy this.

Yeah. I think this is why Swamp tends to start players off facing east. If you put compass directions on the x/y axes, 0dg is east, 90dg is north, 180dg is west, and 270dg is south. ... unless you're using screen coordinates, in which case north and south would be reversed, but once you go to 3 dimensions, there's usually not much point in bothering with screen coordinates, since those are based on pixel arrays.

I would actually say the opposite. I can work out the combat just fine based on the videos I've heard, that would be the easy bit for me. Enemies do in fact cue you when you are being attacked, I saw a video where there were pretty consistent warnings for when an enemy is charging or when you are being attacked from behind. I have made it through a good sized portion of Ninja Gaiden 3, which is also designed to be difficult, so combat in this game isn't the challenge I see, it's the puzzles imo.

Hi SLJ, I am still working on that. I have one more thing to try before I duplicate all the maps with all of the textures, meshes and lighting completely removed. I don't want to do that because any time I need to go back into a level and change something, I'll have to change it twice, so it will double my workload literally. But it might be the only solution. @Dgleks, considering I know someone who uses Reaper to make incredibly good music, I'd have to agree. If you say that Reapers worse than something horrible like Protools, then you definitely haven't used it. As for skins, that might work, though actually making the skin might be far harder than it sounds. I don't know how to do it, anyway...

@Guitarman, VS is not just for Microsoft languages, and C++ is not a Microsoft language (unless you count the CLR extensions to it when you use the appropriate project type). But you can certainly add other languages to it that are not MS-specific: There's D for Visual Studio; Python Tools for Visual Studio; RemObjects Elements...

Well as I said I don't so much go for optimum gear as what I can find where, which is another  reason why doing quests is cool, though your probably right about the cleric spells. Moose aren't usually around, unless you mean the elk? it is a great tank though I don't think the damage is as high as the bear or the lion is.I did for the vampire, it took two goes through but he was close to dead second time around.With druid spells tempest is a handy area attack but since you need multiple hits for it to get strong it is something of a mana sucker, for an instant damage all I prefer icefog. Fist of the earth is my staple, though I supplement sometimes with thistles or dust devil, and gust of wind is a great knockdown. I'll admit though often I just like using spells for the sake of variety, one reason I still tend to throw a few mage spells in there even though my mage cast level isn't as good as my druid one.

Games like nano empire

Today while I was waiting for something to install I saw this game on the database and tried it in my browser.  I actually like it.  I had a lot of admin to do, so I finished it twice, but there did not seem to be anything new the second time I played it.I was just curious if anyone knows of any games that are like this? I just wish there were more buildings and different units or something.  The game felt so short and there was no reward for getting through it.Most games like this rely too heavily on PVP and they are not friendly to folks that did not play them from the beginning of the game's lifespan.  I love these sci-fi empire building games though, I would love to play more games like Nano Empire.

Hi, this, is why I say people should always create a single player mode. If the server gets destroyed? The game just becomes a heap of trash on your hard drive. Also, I don't even remember there being an auto updater in this version of the game. I remember when the first version came out, Christmas of 2014  I watch the game grow from a little time waster to an epic multiplayer game. And then? It just gets dropped. I know there might have been problems, but the least you could have done was create a stage where are you could just blast enemies with different laser weapons. Then, the game might not have just been some programs sitting on a horse  that is your hard drive.

Tested the other day, and no, you do not have to kill the weather machine first in order to kill the vampire more easily. They aren't tied together.Ice Fog is pretty good. Must remember that instead of Tempest. I like using Tempest on bosses because the sheer damage it can rack up is crazy. It's also death on necros and other druids with minions.And no, I did mean the moose. if you want one, go to the outer planar ice world, as I'm pretty sure they're there. Takes 22 control points I think, but like I said...huge HP.

a few things. one, it's rather rude in my opinion at least, to advertise another game on someones thread where they are talking about there's. if you want to do this, start a thread for it.second, plenty of mudds take pre-made cores that have been leaked, or posted somewhere.examples include prometheus, cosmic rage, several star wars muds were made with sorts of the same things not to mention on a larger point of view most thing has like hack and slash for clasification purpuses.Just because a mud has been made, or something like it no matter where it came from, unless someone who has the write to, says it s not aloud to be done, there is nothing wrong with it as long as someone eventually gives credit for it. and yes, the muds I mentioned above were modified heavily but still came from somewhere.

Would that even help? OK, textures are a big part of it, so that definitely would, but lighting, its still rendering all the vertices and polygons, right? so its not really disabled graphics, its just disabled viewing of the graphics. Work is still being done by the GPU / CPU if the GPU can't handle it. So, I think that without lighting, the rendering would still be going on, you would have decreased the work load on the CPU / GPU, but not eliminated it all together. I'm not a  dev though, so what do I know

So how would I best handle this?  How would I determine where the player starts out facing when the game starts?  Is there a way to make it the way I originally thought it was, 90 degrees to the right, 180 behind, 270 left, and 0 straight ahead, or are the values of 0 being along y, etc. set in stone?  I also need to know because it affects the sound pool and the way the ball sound travels as it's updated.

You can change it so that it asks where to save each file if you click on it, if you want that extra peace of mind. Personally, I think I like this way better. I could have changed it in Firefox too, I just never got around to it.

hi. can I change the frequency when I tell to contact another tower after taxiing? for example contact 118.8 when you're ready. But I don't know which edit box is for frequency. When I press enter to change the frequency using fsx pilot I still and the ground tower. please guys. help me or just record an audio tutorial to show the newbies how to operate fsx pilot. and also, when I try to search this fsx on youtube all they do is press tab and directly to jump to the exack edit box to change the frequency. any help will apritiated. thank you

No you're right, but it's the last step I can take in terms of optimizing the game. Beyond that, there's really nothing more I can do. I think it's the engine. Unreal is a really, really powerful games engine so I think that at it's most basic levels it requires more from PCs than most, there are only so many steps I can take to make the game easier to run. I did a LOT of optimization work so that the game naturally requires less to run, and I've added scalability which is F1-F4, but people are still saying they can't run it. It might help if I remove every tree, shrub, etc and all lighting from the computer workload. It's worth a shot. But I'm also harassing the unreal forums a lot for help to disable graphics completely, nobody has a solution yet.

Bluetooth 5 and Audio

Hi all,I've heard about Bluetooth 5. Is it true that audio latency has been decreased? Does it improve the HFP and HSP profiles? I have Bluetooth 4 headphones and these profiles sound slightly better. Still, they are in mono and offer about 16 KHZ quality. I love Bluetooth audio, but the latency and the low quality microphone problems are the things that prevent me from using it for all my audio tasks. I've discovered that using APTX compatible hardware makes the bluetooth lag nearly undetectable which is awesome. Having said that, not all devices support APTX. I'm looking at iOS. Silly Apple refuses to support the low latency codec.

Huuge tip for anyone who's a druid who cares: just in case it hasn't become obvious, charging spellstaffs is a great way to learn spells without wasting pracs, as well as a nice little bit of XP on the side.As another little sidenote, every class has that one thing or two that just, give you a fair amount of XP for doing them a ton.  If you're a cleric, turn undead.  If you're a mage, scroll scribe and brew potions for the rest of us.  If you're a warrior, get tacticle, consider tanking on occasion for others and don't throw more than one prac into cry of victory.  If you're a thief, go get something sharp, hide under a rock with a bunch of juicy gossip, then come out and backstab your friends and enemies equally because you're no good at anything else anyway.  Well, yeah, you are, pickpocketing, stealing, sneaking around, stealthily minding everyone else's business, lock picking...Necros?  
 Where should I begin?  Soulforging?  Blood bottling?  Lifetapping?  Creating metal constructs and other powerful tanks?  harvesting dragon teeth?  Yes, specifically dragon teeth over normal teeth if you want extra XP.  How about going along for a ride with a bunch of friends and protecting them when regenning by throwing down bone forts?  Or, what about, just for laughs, throwing down a bone prison around yourself every once in awhile in areas in which you won't disturb anyone?  Don't ask me why I tried it... I was bored.Yeah yeah, someone's gonna come along and either claim I'm giving too much away or tell me I'm just flat out crazy and duh, Captain obvious?  Well, it wasn't obvious too me for a long long while; figured I'd throw it out there for anyone to fiddle around with to their char's betterment.

Sadly, I don't think so.  Crafting kingdom is worth checking out if you like the micromanaging aspect of Nano, but I'd say that for the most part, any game that exists in this genre is pretty dry at present.  Don't take that as the final authoritative word on this matter though; hopefully someone else will come along and prove me wrong.

Disaster!  That's the word that's gonna start off this post!  I got near about squashed!  Tramppled!  Smashed!  Pounded!  Blown away!  By some great big ugly girly bully!  Her name, they say, was Irma, and she came into town... Well, more like, blasted into the state, I guess because it was that time of the week or month or year or century or paycheck cycle or what have you, and uh, proceeded to reak havoc and chaos on everything!  And it wasn't pretty!  Trees down everywhere!  Powerlines on top of the trees!  Mobile homes flipped and stripped to bits!  Tornados dancing around all of our neighborhoods!  She took North Korea's plan of mass destruction and war machines and intercontinental missiles and hydrogen bombs to the next level and rained down terror from the skies!  And the seas!  And even from below the seas, said some earthquake detection instruments!  Yes, even below t
 he seas, this 500 mile wide monstrous big bertha could be felt as she came charging at us with ravaging fury!  Did I mention that Florida is not 500 miles wide?But did we Floridians back down?  No, ladies and gentlemen of ag net, we did not! We stood our ground!  We stared category 5 danger in its evil little salty porky piggy eyes and told her to bring it on, because she was gonna do it anyway!  We boarded up, stocked up and prepared for what was to some of us, the largest siege of our lives!   Apparently she had some old Grandpappy named Andrew back in the 90's who was nowhere near as bad as she was, and she swore vengeance on his behalf, because Florida just hadn't felt enough recently.  Yes indeed!  We fortified and prepared!  Because we had no choice!  When it became obvious that giant of a thing was heading our way everything including bus, train and plane tickets sold out faster than popcorn and hotdogs at spor
 ting events and in the movie theaters!  The highways, you say?  Nope!  Backed up for miles and miles to the point where many bridges and outgoing lanes were rerouted.  So, at least a few million of us stayed behind to brace ourselves for this localized distortion in our lives.  No biggy, right?  This is Florida?  We're prepared?Six million of us ended up without power!  After a week, I finally got mine back, but Irma ate all my food!  And what she didn't eat, she roasted away to nothing!  Complete spoilage, because I had no power and no way to keep anything cold!  Way to go, Irma!  I learned I don't mess with girls!  Really!  I'm sorry!  Really really sorry!  I'll buy your cousin Maria whatever she wants, just keep her away from here, will ya?  Oh, and thanks for giving your Husband Jose the headsup that there was nothing left from our barbecue parties and potato chip
