I had this idea and I wanted to see how crazy it could get, so I did it.Basically the concept is you run around a 3D grid, collecting falling rocks for points and avoiding cannonballs being launched at you by cannonball launchers. in such cases check your sound settings in control pannel. Check if you have speakers and headphones, and headphones isn't the defaulttce, set it to the default device and possibly disable the speakers

lol um, ok. We trust in 3rd party libs when we use python too much? I like, don't even know where to start. Better not use C++ on windows because you have to include windows.h unless you want to recode everything from scratch. Chances are the sockets implementation you code from scratch will not be nearly as efficient as the one microsoft set up, which has been tested by millions and millions of people. So you agree with the op? You realize that in C# anything that starts with System in a namespace you are using is most likely part of the standard lib? C# would be pretty useless without the .net framework and all of it's features. So if you agree with the op you are also contradicting your very own point. Everyone uses both 3rd party and standard libs. In C# if you want sound your probably not going to write your own sound library that interfaces with the OS's sound drivers to produce output. You'll use something that's already there, created by people who were solely focused on providing a sound library. As for python, are you saying that it's flawed because other people do the grunt work of coding tasks to work on multiple platforms that are commonly used rather than having the users do that all themselves? At least to me, your point is utterly nonsensical and confusing. I'm really curious to know what you mean when you say we use too many libraries in python. Do you have a phobia of the python import statement?

I haven't tested this out, but I'm sure you could do it with a bit of math.Asuming you allready have a 3d map system, all you need to do when moving is incorporate degrees. This is also different if you want full 360 degree, or just set directions like north, northeast, southwest, etc.I don't know exactly how you'd go about this, but the second option seems loads easier than the first. Probably some equations to check facing and then move differently based on that.

Relationship between two people is private and is just related to themselves. Except that if a relationship is between under aged people or one under aged person and a mature person. Could we, possibly, avoid being so negative, Specially on our new developers? From what I found out, It's no problem if you edit a sourcecode of an open sourced game, and mention that your game is based on x's sourcecode and release it. No wonder the developer commented on this topic and said nothing against this game. We have to support the new developers. @64, this is complete nonsense. Every programming language requires on libraries of some kind. The amount of the libraries it relis on is irrelevant unless the developer includes an unnecessarily large amount of them that it doesn't use. The thing that matters to most developers who are creating software is that the software is that it works properly and does what it is intended to do. The refactoring process -- removing unnecessary clutter and cleaning up the code -- comes later.

well I'm not sure about what you mean by "countries open to relationships between sighted and blind people", since unless your in a country where blind people are considered cursed by god etc, your probably going to be generally okay and not considered any weirder than a blind person doing anything.The problem in relationship terms is the age old one of finding someone who can actually see you as a human being, and whats more a human being with whom they want a relationship. Given the traditional, guy asks girl out structure, this is far easier if your female,firstly you don't need to worry about actually doing the asking, and secondly a lot of the stupider factors such as being able to drive, show a good job  or blatant eye contact that go into the "guy asks girl" thing won't factor into the decision, this is probably whyone study I read claimed that in five out of six heterosexual marriages with one disabled and one none  disabled partner, it was a disabled woman with a none disabled man. of course, if your female your more likely to get unsavory propositions, but unless your very unlucky these are possible to turn down. critical issue of course is where you find said partner. Given my lack of faith in the traditional guy asks girl dating structure, I'd recommend leaving singles bars and online dating aps alone, especially since such things are so  apearence based which is a none started for a blind person, and just finding an activity or group where you interact with people your age and making friends of the opposite gender, university, clubs, that sort of thing. Lastly however, bare in mind my very existence debunks the myth that relationships between blind people and sighted people are %100 impossible. My grandma was severely visually impaired when she married my grandad and went totally blind later (and that was in the 1940's), whilst my mum, who is blind met my dad who is sighted whilst they were both working at the same hospital in the 1970's.. I will add though, that when things work out it really doesn't matter either way. I personally never thought I'd end up with another blind person, since this website is about the most interaction I have with blind people, as blind organisations in Britain are so geared  older people they're really not worth the time in going. However, my lady and I happened to meet online, and hr lack of sight mattered not at all, neither does it in everyday life terms either, since if you can look after yourself and live independently, living with someone else is really not too hard whether they're blind or not, especially when that someone else  literally your soul mate .

I was sketching out something today that I am thinking about doing. Anyway, here is my question. Let's picture a starship at coords of 0, 0, 0. Let's say I order a 10 degree turn with an up angle of 15 degree. How do I calculator that for any angle I wish to do? Better yet, plan for the correct movement of said starship? This is in BGT. Figure that this may prove usefull for others too.

LOL guys, i'm tempted to act like jonikster. During the last few weeks, I went through the topics in this room, picking up a few tips and answers here and there. There were loads of questions with subjective answers, or questions whose answers could be easily obtained through other means. What's the best programming language for audiogame development, How can I learn bgt/python/c#, What language is better x or y, ETC. The annoying thing was that the majority of such questions were posed by jonikster. After a while, I began to pick up the pattern: Whenever I would see a question or topic like that, I was like, oh here's another jonikster topic. The point is, After all those pointless topics, he still manages to catch the attention of the community and get a lot of replys, causing his topic(s) to stay on the top of the dev room for a while. Ethin gave a good reason for this, which was to make sure that new developpers don't get misled with his biased opinions and his wrong information. However, I do think a better solution is to ignore such topics of his entirely, except 1 detailed reply from the knowledgeable programmers such as Ethin himself, to make sure that those who stumble upon his topics do not get any wrong ideas from him. This way, compared to the current state of his topics, the risk of new devs seeing his topics would be much lower.

It should slowly improve more over time.I've discovered there is an issue with the reset button related to using space bar to toggle the show/hide switch instead of actually clicking on it. This is causing a _javascript_ event not to fire correctly, i'll get this fixed soon but for now if you want to reset that's why it is not showing up. If you use enter instead of space bar it does trigger correctly.

Hi. I have some ideas. First of all, why not change it so that you don’t have to hear the words enemy killed for every single enemy. Can you just have an option to activate that can show the numbers at the end of each battle?  Also, do you think you could please develop a race that is actually a virus that infects normal humans? You will not be able to undertake diplomatic missions with them. They will not be able to form alliances with anyone. They will only be able to attack you and other kingdoms. nice podcast! I heard a bit but have to spend some more time because I just could pay attention to the first 10 minutes and had to go out. By the way, I am waiting on this mini bluetooth earpiece to arrive probably next week, and so I will update and let you know how it goes.Also, cardiomez has been a great app! the developer on this one is working hard and will also incorporate many of my suggested changes and he seems to be very aware and sensible to the accessibility bit on android. This app is nice because it supports both bluetooth low energy and ant+ protocols. You can connect to the sensor in any way you like. And the statistics is just pretty amazing, it really encourages you a lot and training within heart rate zones has been most helpful. I have been using other bt headphones but I really want this small earpiece because its just a single one, very portable,, sweat-proof and so on plus its for a very specific use--hearing the voice announcements from the app when working out.

@Addolis,I guess I will take heart in your statement that, "most of the game is accessible," although I thought that none of the in-game stuff is read.  And didn't I read that some menus outside of the game still weren't completed?  Hence my question about videos.  Looking forward to them.  I'm fascinated by the fact that the login isn't accessible, but other in-game menus are.  Are they using some sort of different code entirely for logins?  Seems sort of bizarre otherwise.  What would be cool is if you could log in via a website on your PC using your screen reader, and have it wirelessly connect to your game console and log you in, or check to see if the game is running on your PC, and log you in that way.  Or possibly have Microsoft add a thing where you can set it so that XBox Live can sign you into other accounts that you choose, much like some programs can do in Windows by launching other programs when they run, or launching specific programs a certain amount of time after start.  Same premise here.  You'd have a checkbox within settings that says something like, "sign me into these accounts automatically."  And you could list any accounts you wanted there, along with login credentials.  Just thoughts for possible solutions going forward.

oh, another bug or at least a text error.On two separate occasions this time as I'm playing the newest version, an explorer sells me the location of a place in the east. It specifically said the east in the opening of the throneroom encounter but when I say "yes" it gave me a location in the south on both occasions. I have no problems with locations in the south or anything, but I was expecting locations in the east because that is what it said it would give me.

Well, I'm not sure what you use to study, but in my case, it would again be a laptop. I'd say it could go up to 8 hours a day in average for me. On using a laptop, a lot depends on how you stand, whether you use headsets or not, and how loud you keep the volume. Headsets can cause headaches in many instances, and the way you stand or where you stand may also create some issues, such as back pain or fatigue.

I can't particularly say it feels that way whenever I make tiny little test games with Python.It might be like that because python just feels, easy.There's not really much static typing and things like that. Python lets you get away with many more things than you can in say, Rust, I should know because it loves to pop up errors at me
