Hi,posts 1, 9, 38 +1. Enough said. 7, look up the number of people and budget those games had to work with, and what people forget whilst throwing up their suggestions is the time and effort required for everything. can the games created here expect even 5% of what these games you rave on about pull in. a little leighway goes a long way, that is, even if say developer X comes to you with a FPS or Game Y, even if you think it's crap and you either shut up or give polite constructive feedback. you never know that developer down the line might come up with something that might be slightly more interesting and or fun, or even something amazing that blows your mind. Think about this the next time you want to put that guy down who just created a game which you are hating on.  I don't even want to start with how stifling this sound thing and rampent copyright fobia is  for creativity or all out having fun on the forum these days.Grryf

Defender +1, and to be perfectly honest the wining about the blind tropes is getting a bit old. It's a game, bloody enjoy the game, chil relax and don't take offence at every small miner thing that you maybe like omg, people are gonna think x y z about blind people because of ABC in a game, guess what, they don't need a game to be thinking such. The listen around and describe it to me that people harp around so much on, my friends tend to do the same thing and I don't mind because I know they don't mean nothing by it, and if you are being pedantic that's exactly what you are doing anyway, listening around, unless you can see, then you really ought not to be offended by such. Hi, played through today's daily event, and must say it was pretty good. specially if you have played with ironclad before. If you get lucky, you can build up a very good deck and smash your way through. Not finished still, but thought would hop on and write about it. Hi, The daily quests are now working for me, but I am wondering how to check what the daily run on the particular day is? Even when I type daily, I just get the choice to embark, but no text saying what the conditions are going to be. Todays was fun, I suspect it was to do something with losing hp if you have a full health bar, whilst you encounter a monster or shop rest treasure etc. pretty challenging, but I actually messed the game up by chooseing a relic which was terribly wrong for this class, I believe it was the choker, which gives you extra energy per turn, but you can't play more than 6 cards... One question that  I have though is, and it perhaps might be slightly foolish, What's G, R etc suppose to mean exactly? E I get means energy, but unsure about the other 2 notations I have seen in cards. One bug that I have noticed with the mods installed though is when I type quit, the game seems to exit, but I still continue gathering playtime. Just noticed discord showing me as having been playing Text to spire when I actually wasn't. Thank you @Wensber for working on this update, very greatful to you for having worked on making this accessible for  all of us, and continueing to do so. Haven't checked out the latest update yet, just read about it on here.Grryf.

Hi,@mastodont, will give that a go soon and tell you how that went. @leibylucw, Subscribe to all the mods on steam first, once that's done, just unzip rtr to a folder somewhere, make sure steam is running and press enter on rtr and  it will do the rest. may take a while to load depending on your specsIf you still get errors, might be a good idea to describe the errors you are getting, and install JRE.Grryf

Hi, How are you guys starting daly runs? on my mbp I was able to do it through OCR and pressing enter on the option OCR read out, but here on my desktop, that doesn't seem to be working.@patrykuss12, once you have defeated the boss, you move on to the next act and start on a different map floor 0 to 15 again etc.Grryf

Hi,Brad, if you are going for a specialised deck, that empty cage relic if that is what it was, is actually good, lets you discard cards which you don't want need you can always skip those, you know. you don't have to pick up anything you don't want to. I am yet to try any of the other 2 classes, Ironclad is what I started with. Me thinks I'll try a different character today, or continue to explore ironclad a bit moreGrryf

Hi, @aaron77, I just listened to your entire run, and must say it was very well done.  I didn't do as well as you, but I am still learning , but yes, Ironclad is the character I have played with the most so far.@Berenion, I know that it's a PD game, but I thought the game has save slots where you can save your progress at a point and load from there if you screw up, and by that I mean a mistake or a few at a time lol, not death, of course.@Gamulation, there's a way to edit your post, so don't write a post a sentence at a time. if you start read to spire after steam is one, it'll handle the rest. most of the game is played by typing commands into the prompt window, such as start ironclad, hand etc.help should tell you a lot more. Off to play more of slay the spire!Grryf

Hi, I was stranded without my main pc today, so installed slay the spire along with all the mods on my laptop, and been pretty much just been playing slay the spire all day long lol My favourite card so far is the Juggernaut specially with ironclad, that card has massave damage plus defence going for it.. died at floor 10 of the second act though... believe that was due to a mistake, but since there's no save slot feature yet, there wasn't much I could do at that point, but that's alright.  I also ran the daly for the first time today, and oh man it was all sorts of crazy and fun with monsters giving relics, things got a little crazy haha. again, died after act 2, some where around floor 5 8. stupid random 50 card deck.I am thinking I should start recording my playthroughs too, but unsure if I will actually go ahead with it.@gamulation, man, make sure you are logged onto steam and that it's running. and subscribing to the mods is best done through the browser. click on subscribe.Grryf

Hi, a small problem issue with the mod to report. @Wensber, whenever playing a card that requires choosing of the cards such as armorment (gain 5 block and upgrade 1 card), the choice would work fine up to selecting the card from the deck, but after that the choice would be to confirm, and writing that in wouldn't do anything, and I would need to end the turn to get passed that. Same for the empty cage relic, I would be able to select 1 or 2 for example, but after the card was selected, I couldn't discard them, needed sighted help to get passed that point.  That said, I have been playing the spire with ironclad, and managed to defeat the boss on the 15th floor and have moved on to the second spire! hurrah! Lets see how long I last...Thank you brad, I don't know what the error was, but my log for the mod kept on updating with help for the tip something something would no longer be shown. so much so that I couldn't ctrl home and read the log's start Anyway, it seems to be working fine now, though.Grryf

Hi, Is it just me or something? read to spire and the other mods don't seem to be working now I click on read the spire mod, the mod starts up, I click on play, the main menu loads up, but now I can't seem to alt left and right arrow and or up and down alt arrows to read anything.commands such as start and or continue don't seem to be working either... help worked fine, though. Last time when the mod was working, I had to leave at a boss fight where I suspect I died to the gardian boss, but the game just bought me to the main menu even though I had 11 health left After which I quit the game, started it after 2 hours, and now it refuses to work. Anyone else having same issues and or has experienced this before? Thank you.

Hi, Many thanks at Wensber, pitermach and DRG for making this game accessibility and bringing this game to my atention here.  I bought it yesterday, downloaded all the mods plus Java (creating account just for an installer was so ug) and have just played the first ironclad run. From the first playthrough I can see that I will definitely enjoy this game in the days to come, and this will bring many hours of enjoyment.  a question though. each spier has a main boss, and has 15 floors, correct? once you move from a tile, you can't go  back to it. Once the boss is defeated, you start the spire again again with the same 15 floors? but with a different layout? or after defeating a boss, you can carry on with the same deck.Cheers and thanksGrryf

Hi,All this negativity, sheesh. I just saw the email and intend to try the game myself. it might not be the next swamp for audiogaming or bk3, but I am sure it would give some period of enjoyment. As for the company not listening to feedback? I haven't tried blind quest myself because at first I thought the same some of their games have been far too easy or laggy at times, but for blind quest at least they took people's feedback and changed the combat system entirely. again, not the next entombed etc but good enough for a little tp. give credit where its due, and don't just bash a company just because you can.cheers.

Hi, Was super excited to read this, but it appears that the accessibility is still under beta, that is it works, but there can be and it does require improvements. Else the developers would have written Either on here or on applevis where they mostly post.So play it, and I suspect IOS version will still take a little while due to their review process, but be patient and don't houll too loud if stuff doesn't work.Think of this accessibility as betaI so wish I had access to an android phone atm Grryf

Connecting to the public server gives server unavailable message, if I try connecting to the US server I am able to,however creating a game and starting it makes the application crash. Is there something I am missing here?Grryf

Hi, 2019's been a good year for games it looks like, as it is/ was seriously difficult for me to make a choice to vote just for one  Sequence storm for a game that I can play along with my sighted friends, and the developer who went deep in to make the game accessible for us all. New horizons for the huge amount of playability/ replayable nature of the game, plus its free, and it has much more content than many of the payed games out there.Manamon 2, was the only game that made me sit down and play and pulled me in this year, and felt like one huge major release in this year. Breed memorial was one game I couldn't get into much, although probably I need to give it more time.  Alt frequencies and Bulwark in the city of flesh I have heard good things about, but haven't had the time to play them yet. In the End I ended up voting for sequence storm for one reason alone, is that I'd like to see more games become accessible and more developers willing to put in the time and effort to make their games playable for visually impaired players. Looks like manamon 2 is winning though, fare enough, despite all the negativity for it that I have seen, as a game it was worth it, although yes, some criticism was fare. I.E movesets, and the grammer bit, although that I could ignore after a while. Lets see what 2020 brings. hopefully something good.Grryf

Could the changelog give a bit more detail? sure it could, and is manamon 2 perfect? no where close to it. But I see the same thing over and over again to no point and just feel its a tad bit pushy. Enough said. Would people be interested in sort of a online pokydesk for manamon? Hi, Thank you both for your replys/ tips. Managed to beat the boss in the end, and of course with the same team as above It was a little iffy in the last fight there, due to a few moves missing at critical points, but managed to beat it down with a little buffer. equipped one resister on Lantlare to help it survive a few turns at least, kept confuse going with Bamboustica, Lantlare and Viprolt, and tried to get in as many hits in as possible. as I said though, I'd welcome suggestions alterations for either my current team or for my future playthroughs. Hi there, Like almost everybody else on here I have been playing manamon 2 lately and have been having fun too, until I hit the boss fight, that is. If the topic's header hasn't given you any clues, this post and the topic in general will have major game spoilers, so if you haven't passed the 4th stadiam and eternity studio, stop reading here if you don't want spoilers.That said, in this topic I'll also be asking for team advice, that is what manamons are people using in their team, and which they have found to be good vs not so good candidates for their playthrough teams. My team consists of the following, all are around level 55Bulderdash, Bamboustica, Vyprolt, Colovaird, Lantlare, Wavotamus.Spoilers ahoy!spoiler wrote: I have reached the Hathorilian fight, where it transforms 3 times each time restoring its health to full. I have managed to defeat the bugger twice, that is both its first and second forms, however the third form is a major pain in the ass, what with the shield and the bombbox, and if you manage to get a few hits in despite those 2 things, it starts restoring its health once its lower than 40% I think I could still have gotten through, if only there was an opportunity to save in between somewhere those 3 fights lol. any ideas/ suggestions? and ug, is it seriously that hard to understand that the describe it to me thing is used as a device to let players get a bit more of a picture of the surroundings in their heads? as sounds sometimes aren't enough, and hopefully blind people won't be the only people playing it. The watch and the listen thing aren't really that offencive to me anyway as its no way a form of racism that there could be no comparison between it and the negro or the N word as people like to call it. Its  more of a medieval setting Where a father sends his daughter away as her being blind is an EMBARRASSMENT and a liability (understandable considering any form of disability was considered as a reason to get rid of the child). that said,  do you think the listen watch thing would be such a big deal or people would make much of it considering it could also be nothing but sort of humur or banter between the 2 people who are separated by not only rank, but age. Its like saying change the woman washing clothes / doing housework in a historical setting just because it gives the impression of the woman doing all the housework and nothing else and all such bs. Hi, Fantastic sound design, no matter what else you end up doing, do not reduce quality of the sounds to save on space/ size memary or what have you. The sounds were awesome enough to make me think I was watching a movie, and has to be one of the best out there in terms of sound effects, better than even AHC. I am not sure if we already can do this, but being able to use both arrows when out of range and a sword when in range would make combat more interesting although I do see how impracticle that would be . I liked shooting the kitchen boy whilst he was taking a piss  and would obviously like chances to do that a bit more often. I say, Keep the dialogues as they are, no need to change it. It might make some people cringe, but to be perfectly honest, post 20 puts it just right, and makes it a bit more real politically correct bs and impressions aside. That is what my friends end up saying even though I have corrected them a few times, and by now its more like gentel leg pulling or a tongue in cheek humur much more than anything else, Lets play and enjoy a game and story for what it is and leave the nitpicking along with politically correctness aside for once. The combat in the story mode specially on hard could be a tad bit faster, I.E raider and knight demos had it just right, perfect. Although, enemies seem to attack me only from either the left or the center, right not so much. this obviously doesn't include the raider, warrior  and the knight demos. I see the sheperd being turned into a male character as  maintaining balance/ give and take  we lost the male prince and have a female princess instead so the female sheperd is changed to a male guy, who gives me major GOT wibes the way he talks, speaking of which so do the uncle and such. Very good voice talents. although yes, I do miss the female sheperd a bit, but I'll survive   A few bugs to report I see they haven't been reported so far. If you play the hunting scene, go back to a combat scene and try the bow training tutorial again, the w s a d etc keys won't move you ahead or center you, quitting the game and retrying the bow training fixes it, though. Usually during gameplay, the instructions will announce controls for both keyboard and controllers, but there are parts where only the controller controls are announced. I.E bow training.Cheers, and obviously looking forward to the release of this game and will buy it when it comes out.Grryf

Hi, Cosmic Rage definitely could use a bit of polish, but I am sure it'll get there in the end. Miriani lost its Appeal to me after a while of playing it due to its disgusting playerbase, but honestly if soundpacks are concerned, it has one of the best ones around, despite the recent screwups that have been added in etc.Star conquest is one of those good games as far as game mechanics go, but its the dickkish hosts and a select few players that tend to run everything that spoiles it for me. I made  this post Around the month of May, and might be something people may want to have a look at before they jump into the game. I still haven't gotten in. I did continue to submit concepts once every week after that post, but obviously I gave up after 3 4 weeks or so.CheersGrryf

Hi, Think of a concept as a sentence you would use to describe your character if you were giving your character to a friend to play. one sentence that describes who your character is, what his goals are and what makes him different from other characters/ people. that is what I was told by the hosts, when my concepts were rejected etc.anyway. Here is a slightly longish rant about the hosts on SC though, could be OT but I figure if anyone else starts playing this game they may as well know what they are getting into before they actually do. Worning, really really long.That said, The hosts aren't exactly fare, and if they dislike you, they can be quite immature about you. and you don't need to have done much either to earn that dislike I have played SC before, and have had my profile accepted a few times as well. then the last time a few years ago, I tried submitting same character to play as my previous character was deleted/ purdged. I submitted the same profile because I wanted to play the same style of character, but the staff were like no, we have enough of those characters, play a different type. in SC exploration is what I like, and if I put in exploration I get instuntly rejected. Mind you, you have to play your character as its written in the profile, that is it should match with the goals etc you write in there. so I couldn't exactly have written combat in there and went on to do the activity I liked that is exploration. I naturally took exception to this, since imo is it not already enough that you force people to write profiles for your game, fare enough to a certain extent, but then you force your views or your play style or the type of character we ought to be playing too? in my opinion that was a bit much, and I left. Upon a friends insistence, I started playing again recently, and created a character on the same account. Me and that friend met up, in his ship we started talking about things and in the course of that conversation, I said you know my opinions about the staff on here, laughed we talked about a few other things and I logged out.After that, when I next logged in I was thrown in the profile application chamber without any worning or prire intimation, communicator was taken away and any and all communication abilities were removed besides the say command. when I tried asking (because I wasn't sure) that this is how the profile plus concept thing was to be done, is this how everyone was treated? and if yes, they really need to think on how it affects their players specially new ones, then my support request was closed and the ability to assist/ use the support was taken away as well. Tried writing a board post about it to ask other players, which didn't went through. I was allowed to write it, went through the prompts to submit it but guess what, it didn't appear on the boards. Later when I and another person found ourselves in the same room, (I was waiting on another concept rejection) 10th? or could be more haven't exactly kept a count   We started talking where in he was saying how he dislikes this profile concept thing etc, hosts were listening in and responded through a paperclip that if we don't like the staff or the game process, why don't we find another game to play. in the course of that conversation the hosts/ host told me that the same did not happen to other players and I was special  so yes, if you play the game, be nice and be willing to brown nose the staff there, they like their powertrips and can not take constructive criticism. If they like you, your profile and concepts are likely to go through, if they don't may as well quit trying like I did.Hope you have fun and your experience isn't as bad as mineGrryf

To be honest as much as sryth seems to be a pay to win game, from what I was able to play a few years ago, most things are doable even without spending mountains of money, most stories adventures were the kind you could play through just a bit of a grind is all. And for what I actually payed or you end up paying for either a AG membership or the lifetime upgrade, the content that you can could play was pretty good and worth it, imo, of course. Its just the new adventures I am unsure about as I haven't played in a long while and even how many new adventures have been added sinse if any at all. When all is said and done, I don't think there's an alternate to sryth around, even now, at least the type of many adventures etc that you can do with just one character and the like. pretty old school but still funAnd before people think I am defending my investment, even if I wanted to I couldn't pay for ATS adventurer packs and the like. The only 2 things I have brought over the years to support the game and unlock content are the AG adventurer's subscription and the lifetime upgrade when it came out.Grryf

Hi, the mods are still fun even though not quite up to date with the latest versions. I simply loved the wwII mod that was created. As for tutorials, can't be of much help there, sorry but you may want to try out the starter campaigns, read the guide that someone on here wrote for the crazy mode etc. The the agarchieve may have the sound rts mods, though I don't think I have seen the wwII mod floating around even on there.Grryf

Hi, I would sure love to know, too. I have the ipa's of the audiodefence and the papasangre II games but erm, they are on my iphone 6 plus running ios10, but I'd love to seriously get them on my iphone XS MAX, if you know of a way that doesn't include itunes backups, you will have my undieing gratitude. As I said, I have the IPA on my phone, but can't get them on my computer because I forgot the password for Itunes backups and once you do that, the only way to get that to backk up is a reset and restore, which I don't think would be such a good idea lmao. I also have access to an mbp, if that helps any.Thanks!Grryf

Ahoy all, So now that I have a computer that I can actually play mainstream games on, I was wondering What games there actually are those are playable by us? using ocr and whatnot. I don't mean pokemon non crystal type of games that is where you read walkthrough and sit and guess whether or not you are doing things right and involves huge amounts of memorization such as many people having played the pokemon games on here. as much as I would love to play all the pokemon games out there, and the tremendous respect that I have for those totally blind gamers that have completed these games, I don't believe I have the memory or the time and of course the patients for such a thing, so any other games those don't require the amounts of memorization like pokemon would be nice to know about I.E injustice gods among us is one neat game that I remember playing and Karateka was absolutely fantastic because it was simple but not too much at the same time, was entirely playable besides the bloody eaggles and I didn't need help.  Also, How is steam set up nowadays? is it still the same as it was before, has anything changed for the better? etc?Cheers and thanks,Grryf

Hi, Ahh, Thanks for shedding light on that, mate. Its just that your and simba's audio playthroughs made it sound like you'd have to move around randomly to discover all that the system has to offer or at least for different stuff to come in range of the scanners/ sensors. The sensors down the line should certainly help, but in the mean while, If there was a way to see coords or the map of each systems or locations that they have would be neat for people that are just getting started. This game sounds highly interesting to me considering I am a huge fan of Core exiles and have avidly played Smugglers 4 5 and even a bit of 3  that any space game with the possibility that this has sounds quite amazing, that is as long as we are able to do other things well besides trading. If one of you guys could maybe demonstrate other asspects such as combat for one automated and non automated to give us all a better idea, equipping upgrades to the ship and a little details as to what if any goal that we may have to proceed forward, it would be fantastic.Cheers for bringing this to our atention or at least mine  and all the effort you've put into scripts and the like for this as well.Grryf

For me half the fun is or most of the fun is in doing stuff on my own to have the satisfaction of having delt with the enemies, and to test out my new weapons on the enemies that gave me trouble and see how I fare against them. some new weapons can  be meh, though But eh, if some people don't want to work for it and cheat their way through, that's their choice probably wouldn't be half the fun or give you satisfaction of having beaten a game like BK3 but I am sure that god like feeling must be fun for them. or as Vazbol said, standing at a place and pressing the space key. but then again to be honest I am thinking redoing the same stages over all the different modes could get boring after a while.Maybe not so on the higher difficulty levels, though.Thinking I'll try super wolf or powerful wolf next. or go entirely crazy and try one of the crazy ones. Hi, I am actually curious as I have spent ages trying to kill the ball without cheating, obviously, BN I suppose you hint at a way towards defeating it? I have done exciting, super wolf and the difficult modes so far, but haven't grinded my way through. in fact for the last 2 runs or 1 I ran my way through as fast as possible lol. So if Blindninja you know of a way to get the dam thing, you have me thinking harder when you say 2 seconds (unless it was directed at zuckuss) , any more hints clues would be appriciated. Also, you can ask the questions in the same topic I.E a topic about bk3 help tips etc what have you. All this buzz about bk3 recently, made me actually leave off core exiles for a day or 2 and do the difficult mode to just get the medels to get the homerun bat blah lol. still it was very fun rediscovering that I haven't forgotten half of the stuff about bk3 yet @zuckuss, you may want to have a look at  this topic here , may save you a lot of searching, but mind you its full of spoilers. and no, I haven't gotten the magic ball yet either...Grryf

Hi, Core exiles no longer uses irc for its chat channels. it uses discord which works reasonably well with screenreaders. Try the chat link ingame it should direct you to open the discord app if you have it installed or continue to open discord in browser if your browser supports it. the app is far better, though.hth.Grryf.

Hi,pelantas I actually have done everything suggested but still no dice, is it really working for you? something must be up at my end. Silvermoon, I forgot to address your question about the combat threat rating yesterday as I wrote that up when I was half asleep  first open whatever browser you are using to play core exiles at this point, ff or crome or IE what you will  insert f2 to open jaws dialogue, open up the settings center from there (I believe jaws 14 15 have that too) type button and make sure for a button, has the speak alt text setting selected. hth.grryf.

Hi, If you would be willing to try a different browser, I would suggest you try it with firefox, at least there you don't need to fiddle around with no addons, compatibility views and so on. just launch the game and you are good to go. as long as you have the VI mode enabled, of course.
