Suggestion for the Conversion of a Game to Online

Hello everyone! As Haramir and I were both playing, separately of course, GMA's version of Kings' Corner (or Kings in the Corner, as I also read some other place), we both thought about an online version of it, since it is a fun card game. However, because our programming skills are close to 0, I was wondering if someone would dare to do that. Probably the people from Quentin C's Game Room or even the folks at RS Games.Best regards to everyone,André.

Well, the game is not mine of course, but since it was still not mentioned, here it goes:https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … ingKingdomAnd since I am not sure about posting foreign games, I'll do it, since it is in the Play Store anyway. Emulators for Android

Hello everyone,What emulators do you all use to play on Android devices? I know of a few, like Nostalgia, or John GBA Emulator, that are accessible to use because Talkback reads their "Settings" screens, and they can be configured to play using an external keyboard as a joystick. Still, I am searching for a M.A.M.E emulator which is accessible, since MAME4Android isn't, and Tiger Arcade only emulates Neo Geo games! Thanks in advance!

Well Audio Archery can be simplistic if you are just playing for fun, but hitting the bull's eye was, at higher levels, a bit complicated. However, I know there are many complex games that can be made accessible, with a rich story mode, etc. And as for Nebula, a good thing is that Gray Company has its site in Portuguese, and even their contact info is in said language. Guess I'll try to contact them to know their plans for an Android version of it.Thanks again,André.

Now one thing I thought about in a long time was an educational game which simulated real trafic in real time. For example, you could drive your car, stop when you encountered a red light or a stop sign, be penalized randomly if you did not, for instance, turn the lights on before making a turn, and of course, it could have a bit of defensive direction to avoid crazy drivers as well! Fun!

Re: What is your dream game?

Although I think that RPG is very popular, if it could be mixed with puzzles and lots of strategies, it would be even more admired by me and probably by every thinking gamer around here! If an RPG is not possible, Ive Always wanted to play, in an accessible way, games like Metal Gear Solid or Medal of Honor, where you could play with or without hints, but never with the puzzles completely solved unless you were completely stuck. Resident Evil was also a game I liked to listen to people playing, but even though Shades of Doom is a zombie shooter, it is not even close to what Resident Evils first three games were. Also, Dino Crisis was fun to try to solve. Well, fun for sighted people, but it definitely did not include the blind...

Re: Trying to ask blind Android users to contact a developer

Well, I dont say we need to devote most of our time searching for inaccessible game developers, but that we should, if we do have a bit of spare time, try to talk to them. Some developers, by what I have understood, just dont make the games accessible because of total ignorance on the subject. As you have stated, some people even think that it would be impossible for a screen reader to even exist, so think about those same people starting to be curious when the topic accessibility comes to them, not from some standards, but from people who could, in general, even offer themselves as beta testers! I know that profit is something people love to think about, but I still believe there are some people, like Dice World, star traders and Pirates and Traders developers, who would just put accessibility into the games because it would mean equality of rights!

Trying to ask blind Android users to contact a developer

Hello everyone,Today, I downloaded a game to my Android phone called Music Quis. However, when I tried to play, the game was totally inaccessible with Talkback. I thought it would be accessible since guessing songs, as long as their titles were in text format, would be no big deal for us audio gamers. However, not even the first screen was accessible. I tried to contact the developers, but although I had very good responses from some of other game makers, like Pirates and Traders developer, I Always think that together we stand. And as you all might know, Pirates and Traders, although not originally all accessible, had many accessible features from the start, so even not knowing about our screen reader needs, it was well developed. Music Quis, on the other hand, is just unplayable, so I guess that, if we sent e-mails to them talking about what could be improved, it would be a fun game to play too! What do you all think?Good day!André.

One thing I would like on Second Life and was not able to do was more actions than only touching objects. Like, there is a place where you could even jump under a block, like you would do in Mario Bros, to gain access, but jumping is not supported by Radegast. Another thing is that blind people cannot build their own objects as sighted ones can. So I left the game for now.

Re: Trying to ask blind Android users to contact a developer

Well, in that case, I guess Ill have to go the other way:If it is too much work for a developer to re-write his/her game, the solution, in theory, would be to try and attack them where it hurts the most: their pockets! Not suing them for discrimination, at least not in the beginning, but telling them about the fact that, if they make the game accessible, especially since they sell some features of the game, it could be more published, and accessibility could be even mentioned on their introductory message, such as Dice World developers and also Star Traders ones do. And more publishing means more players and, eventually, more paying ones...?Regards,André.

SongPop game: does anyone else play it?

Hello everyone! There is a game I play via Facebook, which is called SongPop, and is almost all accessible. Firstly, Ill explain a bit about the game, then say why the almost. The rule of the game is to guess, as fast as possible, songs or artists based on their clips. The names of the songs are well-labeled, the possibility to challenge other opponents too. The only thing that I didnt find a way without sighted assistance was to exclude challenges from people who dont play it any longer and a way to scroll down through the names of the albums/song categories that I can buy with the coins gained via challenges. Anyway, I found that, even being in Flash, it Works well with NVDA or Jaws, except in Google Chrome. I tried to send an e-mail to the developers of the game regarding accessibility, but with no success, but as they say, United, we stand! so I thought that, if there is someone else who plays the game or is willing to test it, we can talk again to the developers via e-mail or its fórum.Thanks,Andre.
