To make a good amount of riln mining remember you need to smelt the ore. This is the same process more or less that we have for trees. Getting the raw tree to be sold isn't nearly as rewarding as selling processed trees.Player mines are currently off the market but we do plan to have them make a return. We had some issues with them but have allowed others to keep theirs grandfathered in. Yes, mining does bring in riln, but it also takes awhile for someone to become skilled enough to make large mounts of coin quickly, which is desired as we don't want it to suddenly destroy our economy.Also remember you can drop your lantern and things too so you can mine with both hands free.

There has been some examination of the cold mechanics and we did find a few bugs with it! So after reading this threat I just wanted to stop in and let you guys know its been adjusted. Thank you for your feedback!Also if your going to start consider starting in Haiban or Mistral Lake (Which are warmer). Mistral does have a bit of an dangerous run in and out of the city, but it has a hunting spot very close to it  (Which is newbie friendly) and patrol guards you can join who will walk with you in and out of the city and try to keep you safe. As does Haiban.If your looking for a newbie spot to hunt in Shadgard. You can always ask over ESP (Until your pendent breaks of course and you need to buy a permanent one, sold in any post office for 300 riln). If you see the #thoroughfare as your walking (The # means you can look / go to it) then you may want to explore in there. Almost all of the new areas are right on the open roads.Always feel free to contact staff
  via the BBS or tells in game (I try to make myself specifically available for that) and of course mentors and the question channel. If you are asked to ask it IC, you can pretty much go to the esp network with it. A lot of people are willing to go the extra mile for new players too, so its not a bad suggestion to explain how you just arrived and would like someone to give you some advice! There are plenty of IC reasons for people to get thrown into the Lost Lands!-JGM Vinz

Hey guys!I am loving seeing how many people are finding us through this website and people have been exploring and checking out how to do all the things. I definitely see a lot more logging since these posts as well.Trees sell for more in different places, if the city has pine trees outside of it, its assumed they have a surplus of those trees. While more exotic trees bring in more riln. That being said, the system is still being worked on and I think will be tinkered with as time moves forward. As for riln, remember making riln is only part of the game! Definitely stop to meet people, speak to people about their guild or organizations and see what story lines are going on in the game!We always have stories, events, merchants, happenings going on each month, really each week (While i can swing them!)
