Sorry for the question, but I'm curious. Has anyone found a NSF file that uses MMC5's PCM channel?

Re: List of VST plugins with Reaper and accessibility status and howto

I tried KORG Legacy,  but when I modify some parameters they do not cause any effect.Example, with KORG MS-20. It is a monophonic (or polyphonic) analog synthesizer from the 70s.There are some presets that are polyphonic, when I modify the parameter that is used to change the polyphony, I can not do it even though I used the slide bar in the corresponding parameter. It is something strange. The same happens with other parameters. Almost all parameters have a name, but some do not.Not only happens with the MS-20, it also happens with MonoPoly and Polysix. they are all from KORG Legacy.Regarding WaveStation and M1, there are no problems.WaveStation parameters are accessible through the GUI, while some can be accessed in the FX parameters box.

Typing numbers in the text box does not work, but I do not know if typing "on" or "off" will work.In this case, the default polyphony parameter is "mono", and when I modify it it should change to "poly".Some are just numbers, but I do not get anything typing in the text box.

For now I give up. My PC is low-end to run virtual machines. What I'm going to say will sound strange, but when I uninstalled the graphics driver the OCR add-on recognized some things, and when I reinstalled the graphics driver the OCR result is just symbols as I said before. When I have the graphics driver installed, and I position myself on the bridged VST window, OCR recognizes things that are from other window (eg, from the desktop or folders), and I am correctly positioned with the NVDA object browser. Before anyone asks, I installed the correct driver from the manufacturer's support page of my PC.

Re: your favorite sound chip?

WTD is a MML sound driver for WonderSwan and Wonder Witch. You can make music and sound effects, though I've not played with it at all, only I read a bit the manual and compiled the demo songs. The compiled data can be a .WTD file that is for WonderSwan, or a .FX file that is for Wonder Witch..WTD files can be converted into a ROM image (.WSC) for play it in a WonderSwan emulator. Owever, if you change the WSC extension to WSR, you can play it with Audio Overload or any player that supports the format.

Making FM instruments (especially for PMD, FMPv4 or FMP7) is easy, at least I'm learning little by little with YM2608 Tone Editor. I'm much more familiar with PMD than the FMP system, IIRC mml2vgm's syntax is based in FMP. As to wavetable, is even more easier with SF2WT. I remember doing a FM electric piano for the FDS, and that sounded really great! I love making FM things for wavetable. I've called pseudo-FM  to that kind of waveforms. For @31, the syntax is different than ppmck. WTD includes an English manual but SW's English is not good.

Re: your favorite sound chip?

I've listened to the Super Cassette Vision, and I liked it. NEC was in charge of the hardware of the SCV. When Epoch temporarily withdrew from the market, NEC, the one in charge of the hardware of SCV, released the PC-Engine to replace this machine. SCV's sound processor is the uPD1771C.

Has anyone known or had a clone of the Famicom / NES console?

2017-08-13 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : Dekyo-NEC2608 via Audiogames-reflector

Has anyone known or had a clone of the Famicom / NES console?

Hi,Today I come with a somewhat strange question. Have any of you had a Famicom clone or have any family members had one?The clones of Famicom (or also called Famiclones) as the word says, are clones of the NES; Many of the cartridges that came with it were bootleg. Some games were made in Russia, while others were developed by Chinese companies such as Waixing, Nanjing, JungleTac, et.The songs of the games were quite cheap or incomplete, and many did not like it.The best known were the multicarts that came with the console, such as 999 in 1, 1000 in 1, 120 in 1, etc.I had a PS 1 clone called PolyStation, which came with a cartridge called "999 in 1 KD-6037-B".Here is the video of that multicart.Another one I had was one called DreamGear. There were several versions of that clone, some were handhelds, while others were Plug 'N Play.
There is the DreamGear 15 in 1, 50 in 1, 121 in 1, etc.The DreamGear did not need cartridges to operate, only batteries, and in the case of Plug 'N Play only a cable was required to connect it to the TV.The games of the first models of DreamGear were developed by JungleTac and the later versions the games were developed by Waixing or Nice Code Software.I had the DreamGear 121 in 1, and the DreamGear (I'm not sure, but I think it was 50 in 1) that is a flyer that connects to the TV, and of course uses AA batteries. Here is the video of a gameplay of the DreamGear 50 in 1, part 1, part 2 and part 3And finally I had a joystick class that is a Plug 'N Play that connects to the TV, and has games developed by Waixing and Nice Code, uses 3 AA batt
eries.I'm not sure the name of the joystick, but I think it's called Game Stick or Play Stick.I did not find a video of that joystick, but I found another one that has the same games. Here is the Waixing 120 in 1 multicart videoThat was it. I hope someone has had these things.

Re: Has anyone known or had a clone of the Famicom / NES console?

That is true, the sound chip of the Famiclones were modified, because there are dumps of those ROMs and in the emulator sounds good. You can check in one of the videos above. I did not have any Power & Play, but I've heard of it. In addition, 2 DreamGear consoles were dumped to play those games (DreamGear 75 in 1 and DreamGear 101 in 1).I still keep my DreamGear 121 in 1, and it is in perfect condition. Sadly I do not know what happened to the PolyStation, I and my brother used it; I do not remember so much his physical form because at that time I was like 4 or 5 years. But I do remember the joysticks, the NES zapper (which was the gun to play Duck Hunt). Also what I remember is that the games sound strange due to the cloned sound chip of the 2A03. Perfectly in any video review of this console can be noticed. Not only in the PolyStation that happened, but in almost all Famiclones. And the other Plug 'N Play in the form of a joystick
I do not know what happened to it, but I had almost pure Waixing games.

Aah is one of Taizou's web pages. I see.I never played the Hummer games, but Somari is well-known in the universe. I've only played the games developed by those companies mentioned above. The graphics in the DreamGear console does not emulate the graphics correctly, so an emulator called EmuVT, which aims to emulate VT02, VT03, OneBus, among others correctly displays the graphics of those ROMs. According to I read it was developed by one of the programmers of JungleTac (I do not know if it is true).By the way... I can not believe they still have these cartridges on sale! That is incredibly strange. Many ROMs of these cartridges can be found and downloaded on the CaH4e3's website. The FamiDump project started more than 10 years ago and still continues! And another thing I've heard, is that a Famiclone (like Arcade Action II) can play real Famicom games; I think it's confirmed.Another of the cartridges / Famiclon I would like
to have known are the Famicom Yarou, which strikes me some games. The modification of the music is strange and funny for my taste. Most likely CaH4e3 dumping other multicarts in the future. This amazingly does not end here!

Re: Has anyone known or had a clone of the Famicom / NES console?

I have downloaded many multicarts and unlicensed ROMs from the CaH4e3 site. I do not use EmuVT much, instead I use FCEU-mm, which runs some ROMs that are not supported by EmuVT due to mappers. The Nanjing games are very typical in these clones, apart from the sound engine, it is by the style of music.I have not played Somari in a real Famicom, as you know I never had one, nor did I really know one.Post 7I know a dance mat, but I never used it, and I do not remember the songs I had. As for consoles and Chinese stuff, I have not seen too many reviews because they are in English, and I'm not good at understanding too much. Fortunately there are many videos of the PolyStation in Spanish for my luck.

Re: MidiText released, music creation by entering text commands

This emulator already knew it, although what I would like (I do not know if it is possible) is to implement the option to choose a MIDI port. So I could use the MidiText with the SMPS and of course, with the OPL-3 WinMM driver. I think I would have a lot of fun. Although they are only suggestions, I do not know if Aminiel would do this, which I find unlikely.

I do not guarantee it works, but have you tried scanning the system using the system tool called SFC? You may be able to solve the problem. Of course, you will have to know how to use the command prompt to run it because it is a command line software.

Maybe this software will not work on 32-bit architectures? I do not know much about those things, but a friend (who has 32-bit operating system) has a similar problem. Aminiel may not see this topic because of the other projects he works on (or so I think).Even so, I've been using this program since the end of last year and have not had any problems even though it's a beta.

Hey @musicalman, this is my reply to your message.Dekyo-NEC2608 wrote:Kuma's MDPlayer supports XGM, but it is really awkward to use, since you have to use a lot NVDA's navigator object. Maybe you  might try to use it, because it also can dump the FM tone data from the formats supported (one of them is XGM) to VOPM, FMP7, TFI, etc.BTW, any tips for looping samples for the PCM chips? I always use a SoundFont editor to make loops to my samples, which almost of those are static waveforms, so I wanna try to make a bit longer samples, but of course no a 20-second piano, for example. Indeed I send that message but maybe something happened.@pulseman45 I read somewhere that there is a command to pass all the stdout given by the command line to a log file, but I don't remember how that works. Maybe that will help you to find errors easier. Or maybe, XPMCK only works with an old version of WLA-DX? Hmmm, that certainly might be the problem, but I'm not completely sure yet...

Re: Using miranda ng

What about Caprine? Have you tried it? I'm using it, and doesn't give me any problems like Miranda would (like others stated, though I've never had problems with it).

Re: CMD - does an "anti star" exists?

I guess that wildcard doesn't exist. Maybe commands exist, but I'm sure they will be a combination between commands such as FOR, IF, etc. I'm not a batch programmer at all.I simply use DEL, or MOVE commands with the asterisk wildcard to point file extensions. I'm sure Super User or even Stack Overflow will offer some solutions if you search.

Re: CMD - does an "anti star" exists?

I guess that wildcard doesn't exist. Maybe commands exist, but I'm sure they would be a combination between commands to make operations i.e. scan the current directory for the pointed file extensions, or even filename patterns; if they doesn't match, you likely will know what to do, if the files will be deleted, renamed, moved, removed, etc. I'm not a batch programmer at all. I just am giving you ideas.I simply use DEL, or MOVE commands with the asterisk wildcard to point file extensions. I'm sure users from sites like Super User or even Stack Overflow can offer some solutions if you search.
