Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

I had another look at the m16 today. While other assauld rifles, like the AC15 or the Steyr Aug do a normal job in burstfire mode, the m16 definitely lags power. I need atleast twice the amount of shots compared to another weapon of this class.Ps. As an experiment I put the maximum of skill points into Speed today and that is just insane. The character becomes so fast that in the beginning, I even had serious problems navigating arround. But it is fun.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172046#p172046

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

@Mehgcap: Thats right what I thougth aswell. Now I know it feels to be that fast, but I need those Skillpoints for other things, as speed doesnt help so much during a mission anymore. Nowadays the Zombies often are crowded in the warehouses and it is quite hard to avoid them. So for missioning and leveling I need alot armor and meley weapon power. On the other hand, maxing out speed makes looting very easy and fun.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172049#p172049

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

I created my gamer account this morning and I am very happy to be back in the swamp.I didnt play for a long while, as I didnt like the fact that reseting skillpoints could be done only after leveling. I really look forward to explore the new maps and try the defender mission. Thats the kind of mission, I really think I will enjoy.Unfortunately, I agree with Musicman and Mehgcap. In my opinion, The cool thing about swamp were the given endless tactical possibillities. With the skill system it is possible to be very strong in a particular way, but on the downside the players are forced to choose a particular style of playing, witch is a great disadvantage. This morning for example, I died after having reseted and reorganized all my skill points. Now I have to wait with playing untill tomorrow morning, because I have to reset again, as all my points are put in armor and weapons that I no longer have. In this situation I am punished for beeing a h
igher level character, because none of the weapons or armor from the sz are worth anything. Even a level 1 player could handle the zombies better than me now. That is just frustrating.Ofcourse I could just organize my skill points in a way that would allow me to get back in faster after dying, but that would again lower the flexibillity. Another great thing is the new zombie AI in the missions. In eralier days The Zombs just were crowded near the entrances and only mooved, when atracted by players. Now they actually stride through the map, witch is alot more realistic and also more difficult. One last thing. Maybe Aprone should have a look at the burstfire mode of the m16. With burstfire on, I often need twice as many shots to kill a zombie as in normal mode. The other assauld rifles dont seem to have this problem.Best regadsStanURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/view

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

Not beeing able to change the skillpoints was the main reason for me to stop playing swamp. It is absolutely frustrating having spent lots of points into a specific weapon, if you have to find those weapons again after dying. Most of the fun for me was the ability to use all the nice guns in this game. With the new skill system most of the weapons are quite useless if not skilled. Id like to have the old system back, but as that most likely wont happen, Id like to have an all time reset funkction that ofcourse will only be usable in the safezone.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171174#p171174

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

Mehgcap: Didnt know about the reputation beeing reseted with the last version. Some people really must have lost lots of millions^^I think the possibility to change the value of armor and speed is a great thing. The problem is that even really strong weapons, like the m60 or m240 are extremely weak without some skillpoints in it. The balance between skilled and unskilled weapons is not given anymore. Due to the high rate of bloody clothes, I am forced to use a strong enough weapon. Thats a shame, as lots of the very cool new weapons cant be used without skilling anymore, atleast not in dangerous situations. You are right, about having more strategie in the game now, but that was part of the fun in older times that we could use all the weapons effectivily. I just dont have the time or interest, to collect about 10 Xp, everytime I want to use some other cool weapons. People that play and level all the day maybe dont mind, but for me, w
ho I just play some hours when I have some time, it becomes a bit frustrating.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=160681#p160681

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

Hi,started playing swamp today after a long time again. Here some smaller and bigger bugs I noticed:When I found an M60 I couldnt unload the ammo. I just heared the drawing sound of the M60. Hoever, when I looged back in later, all my 7.62 ammo was gone. When I tried to buy 40 9 MM ammo, I was told, that I didnt have enough reputation. Tis amount of ammo costs 960 Rep and I had about 5000. I had to buy 2 times 20.When I left a month ago, I had about 3,5 Million reputation. Unfortunately, when I came back today, only 5000 were left.and some general thought:due to the new zombie and weapon strength system, most of the weapons are nearly useless. With my level 158 character I have to put about 30 points in a weapon, before it really can be used in the field. In older times part of the fun of the game was that I could use lots of different weapons. Now I am stuck with 3 or 4 weapons, that are strong enough to really help me. T
hat makes things for me kind of boring.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=160615#p160615

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

^I would like to talk about something taht seemed to annoy some people a while ago.Today i spent some time playing in offline mode, as I wanted to test the different weapons, when I realized, that for some reason the burstfire funkction seems to do significantly less damage than the normal mode. I am not sure, if thats the way it schould be, but maybe that explains, why some people thought that the zombies would be extremely hard to kill, when version 2.9 was released. Especially using the AK47, I realized that a tyrant needs arround 5 to 8 schots in normal mode, but about 13 to 16 in burstfire mode. I am not aware, if thats any kind of bug, but maybe thats the reason, why lots of people thought their weapons to be alot less effective.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=144974#p144974
