Re: Android TV questions

What do you mean by saing "setup the tv"?You can normally take it from the electronics store, open the box, mount on the wall or just put on the small 2 legs that are in the package. It is interesting that if you have any alexa or google assistant devices, you can link your tv by using smart things app and skill. And, if you have samsung galaxy phone, you can send screen and sound to your smartphone with very small latency via your wi-fi network, you can also use it as remote controller, so you can leave you tv turned on and go to the other place with your smartphone or tablet, and you will not lose any fragment of currently playing serie in the tv.My tv has 43 inches, is very thin, but audio uality, even in those cheapest models is very good.If ya wwanna use it as the monitor for pc, just check refresh rate of model ya wanna buy.And try to record the first boot, cause you'll never hear it again :-).If you have more questions, just ask, and i'll try to answer.Regards.

Re: Android TV questions

#8 All models of samsung tv's, even those cheapest have screenreader build in, but the only term is that it must be a tv with smart hub and smart tv feaures. My model is from 5 series, so i thing from 2017, because it doesn't have bixby. It is no longer supported anyway.Speaking off over the horizons, i am collecting them.I also wanna have a collection of songs used in tv's.I wanted to connect it via line in to my computer, but if i wanna do that i must vipe all data and make it thinking it is running for the first time, then record the song.Just listen to this wonderfull music when uy in this unboxing is configuring it, my tv has the same song.It is starting from 4:45 of this video. If someone can give me it's name, it will be appreciated. Here's the video i am talking about:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byb-b76tIO8

That's not literally all. I will be also using that as a monitor for my Home PC, I'll be using HDMI for that, and it will have the TV connection, with a set top box.

Re: Android TV questions

@5:Yes, I know that Samsung TVs are not Android TVs exactly, but, wanted to ask about them as I didn't want to create another topic for that. And if you read clearly, I did say that they run Tizen OS, so that clarifies it. I also know that most Android apps will have an option to switch account, but when you have a not so tech savvy family, do you think they will switch everytime before searching for something or watching a video on the TV. No they won't, they don't do it on phones either. That's why I keep my accounts long away hidden from any of my family member's phones.@7:Thank you so much for that info. It is very glad to know that they do have screen reader built in. However, I wanted to ask you that: is the TV you have is it a high end TV? Because, Samsung has this weird habit of skimming down features in their mid-range phones too. I hope they don't skip screen reader on mid-range TVs.Also, I do agree with you about the Samsung music thing. They have a very good history with built in music and tunes in their gadgets. I also love their yearly revisions of their Over The Horizon Ring-tones.

Re: Android TV questions

I have a samsung tv from 5 series, and it is accessible at all.I am not sure about newest tizen versions, but in my tv you can't link google account, only samsung account that is making sense when you're using samsung galaxy phone, cause it's an ecosystem.I am not sure how to turn on accessibility on android tv, but on samsung's remote you have dedicated accessibility shortcut button that will open voice narrated menu with soome options to enable, voice guide is also in there, or if ya bought your samsung tv with this small smart controller with out numeric keyboard like me, just hold left joystick dedicated for changing olume and muting, and the accessibility menu will open, it will also tell you about that act when you will run it for the first time, you can also configure it with out any sighted assistance.Btw, i love songs that samsung is putting in to their tv's, they are different for every model and are playing when you are configuring your tv for the first time.Sadly, i can't find them anywherre, and can't extract them in anyway from firmware of this tv.This is only the one what i found on youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJFbHMw_-KURegards.

I know that Chrome cast can do that, and most of new Android TVs have it built in, but I was just wondering whether having different account on different devices affected any ability to share or cast. For example, If I have a Google photos album that I want to just play on the TV as a slide show, then Maybe I can just share the album to the account logged in to the tv.

Re: Android TV questions

@MyDearWatson, I'm not sure about Android TVs, but to answer your second question:99% of Google apps allow you to just switch accounts in the hamburger menu in the top left, so in short, I recommend just creating a spare Google account, and this shouldn't affect content sharing, though I'm not sure what exactly you want to do.

Android TV questions

Android TV questions

We will be getting a new TV soon and I had few questions about it.1. Do Samsung's TVs have a built in screen reader? I am talking about those running Tizen  OS.2. What Google account should I use with an Android TV. I think it wouldn't be very good to use my personal account since that TV would be watched by everyone in the house and I don't want other people's searches and youtube interests to affect my things. I think creating a spare Google account for that could be an option, but will this affect my ability to share content between my phone and TV?3. I know this would be a common dilemma regarding any gadget, but are not so recognized brands such as TCL good over recognized brands such as Samsung. I am worried about the TV's reparability and servicing.4. What is the quick way to turn on/off screen reader on an Android TV.Thank you,
