yes, developing for multiple consoles whereas TLOU2 was only developed for the playstation so they were able to optimise for only 1 console. also, if they had to make speech for everything, imagine how big the game would be? afterall, TLOU2's TTS is thousands of wav files...

Never in the first post have I said that I expect every tripple a game to be as accessible as tlou 2, at least that wasn't my intend. I was rather focusing on the fact that we only know of subtitles in cp2077 which sounded and still sounds rather vague to me.With the ubisoft games, I expected to see a not that playable game, so no disapointment there, the thing i was focusing on was an inconsistency which sounds still a bit strange to me. You see, the menus are narrated, some map screens are narrated, but why not the Hud? I wonder why that is, or is there any bigger complication to let a hud read out which i am not thinking of here?Greetings Moritz.

@8 is correct. If Tlou2 will have any effect whatsoever on a11y in games, it'll take at least 3-4 years to manifest on the AAA scene. For indi games it might happen in as little as a year, but patience is the name of the game at the moment.

I'm a bit confused. Post 1 sounds like you think now that TLOU 2 happened, every triple A title must have great accessibility features built-in. But it's clear that won't happen. We are still far away from accessibility being standard in games. It's sad, no doubt, but it's still understandable.

I hate to break it to you, but there will almost definitely be no accessibility features to speak of, besides what are expected.If there were, we would most certainly have heard about them.Let's also not forget that this game has been in development for a long while, and they may have to rewrite portions of the game if they ever wanted to make it fully accessible.Then again, I could be wrong, but the chances of that happening are slim to none.

Making ambitious games can be a difficult endeavor, so in some cases there are bound to be some areas that are not as fleshed out or focused upon as others, at least initially. It might be a bit much to expect every game to be as ground breaking as The Last Of Us 2, but it certainly helped set the bar.Currently there isn't much information available to tell whether its accessible or playable yet, but initial impressions aren't encouraging. There's an accessibility review of available material [here], but we won't really know until the game ships. Part of this could be due to them being a bit overwhelmed, what with there being a few delays, crunch time, etc. Its possible after it ships and they work things out that they may consider patching in some additional options.

Cyberpunk 2077 accessibility features?

Hey everyone.First off, the fact that nor Brandon or any other accessibility consultant has announced anything about the game, now just beeing a week for the release does make me think that we sadly have another unplayable tripple a game at our hands, these are just my thoughts and I will gladdly hear something different.Apart from that, does anyone know of projected accessibility features that CD-Project-Red has announced? The only thing I heard or found was that there is an option to activate and change size of sub titles. Something that, if these are the only access features would be quite astonishing, if not laughable at best, have other games shown that there can be implemented much more. Also with the constant delays, I would have guessed that next to gameplay and graphic fixing, there are some accessibility tweaks under the hood.so, does anyone know anything? I'm a bit mad with ubisoft right now,so a positive message wouldn't hurt.Greetings moritz.
