I don't know what version of vmware jake uses and I don't want to risk causing irreparrable dammage to my win98 vm. Re: How to eddit the contence of vmware disk immages VMWare Workstation can be expensive, but a while back before I lost my vision and was working, I needed it for a project at work.The current version of Workstation was version 8, I hadn't seen it yet but I had seen version 7 and wasn't impressed, compared to version 6 it's virtual machines were very laggy. So I got on eBay and Amazon and found a brand new version 6 for less than half price. It was all I needed for my project.If you don't have to have the latest version, it's one way to get Workstation and save a bunch of money too. The closest I found was DMDE, but that I believe is for phisical hard disks, which is not what I want. Upgrading to workstation is friteningly expensive and I don't even have a source of income. There has to be a cheaper way to be able to do this. And don't get ne started on bit torent. Re: How to eddit the contence of vmware disk immages in vm ware workstation you can go to virtual machine settings, then select your hard disk from the hardware devices, and then hit map. You can't mount whole disks with that methode but you can mount individual partitions.
