Re: Mortal kombat komplete, worth it? i think the port for ps3 of mk x will be okay, sighted people will be much more affected, because of graphics, resolution, and all those visual things that they care so much.for the mk 9 complete edition, i have it for ps3, it has all the dlc plus all things unlocked. dlc is good, all unlocked is bad, terribly bad. im a fan of unlockables...Also, ive done the first part of a playthrough, and i posted it in this forum. Hi,I agree, I prefer playing it on a console but I also ahve the pc port as I managed to get it for cheap.Ill also be doing the same for mk x, getting it on console first. Unfortunately it wont be a next-gen console though, so I hope that whoever theyve outsourced for the ps3 port will do a fairly respectable job. The only thing is you will need quite a powerful graphics card to run the game properly, otherwise you may experience some slowdowns or lag. Im not sure how well this will work out, its a long time since I had to worry about game specs hee. I almost asked if people thought itd be a good idea to do a sightless lets play of MK on youtube but since my graphics card would be borderline at best I really dont think my system could run the game and recording software at the same time, even assuming something like fraps were accessible which I dont know because I havent tried it. Re: Mortal kombat komplete, worth it? If you already have the xbox version I wouldnt get it. Either that or wait for it to get even cheeper (it does happen quite often). The controls, to me at least feel more sluggish, its slight but noticeable and thats on a system with good specs. The other reason the PC port is inferior is the horrible audio. All the sounds are there and sound good, its just that the panning is horribly jumpy. The story mode cut scenes are also really badly compressed. The visuals look all right, but the audio sounds like very low bitrate MP3, something like 32KBps... so very painful.The only reason I would even think about getting it is if you have friends that only have the PC version that you want to go multiplayer with. Otherwise save your money and get another game, maybe injustice because its a better PC port though the story mode is mono, or MK X whenever that comes out. Re: Mortal kombat komplete, worth it? Hi Cx2.Well if you have mk9 for the x-box I wouldnt bother getting it for the pc. All ports of the game have the story mode or at least Im pretty sure they do. I cant remember who it was but I remember that somebody on this forum got the komplete edition and mentioned that it lagged most of the time making it impossible to play.And just for those of you who dont know mk 2011 is the retelling of the story of the first 3 games mk, mk2, and mk3 the story starts in the present and then flashes back to the past. If you want to watch the story instead of buying the game there is a complete playthrough on youtube just type mortal kombat 9 into the search box. Remember to type it exactly like that to get the correct video it should be the first video in the search results.Hth.
