Hi all. So I know I am popping up from out of the blue and I rarely check the forum anymore  but anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that redspot should, and I say should because relying on me for a timeline or anything like that is about the most idiotic thing you could do  redspot should, be back in a couple days with a rather cool client update. I fixed the bugs, but decided to take advantage of the down time by adding a few features, fixing some unrelated bugs, and enhance the clients abilities for more features in the future. As a result there will be a client update to go with redspot, and also, Connor Moser has given me permission to use his redspot handbook as redspot's main readme! So that's just a little of what's going on, I apologize for redspot
 39;s continued downtime.

There are some bugs that need to be fixed. People have been demanding there fix, right here right now. I never got a speedhack alert ever sence logging was disabled. You made sure you have the latest update? Also, may I know your computer's aspects? Note that if you have xp or a slow computer the game might have a hard time running or not run at all.

Hi.A while ago, someone figured out that the speed hack detection happened if you are using sapi. A friend of mine had the same issue some days ago, and switching to his screenreader fixed it. That was for STW, but I think it works the same way. So if you are using sapi, then try to switch to the screenreader instead.

Unfortunately there isn't, as far as I know. Solutions have been thrown around, but in the end, the speedhack protection is unreliable, and the only person who can fix that is Sam.

I have an issue with Redspot, which I Mentioned last year.When I try to start Redspot while connected to my mobile hotspot, I get a speed hack detected error. At current, my only way of connecting to the internet is via mobile hotspot. Is there any way to fix this problem?

hi all. is paul here.@post 811 impossiblenow when you crash an advice will come on the history. and when you will log in back you will have your stuff back except ammo.@814 so if in redspot there isn't strategy explain to me how do players reach 20k health in short time?how do bases reach 1 million health?and if you don't use strategy on redspot you won't survive a long no matter if your health is high. i killed many players that had about 30k health or more.strategy is not that much this is true but you can't say that redspot doesn't has strategies anymore@post 815 there are 3 ways to avoid suicide bombs@post 816 so what it doesn't explained in the documentation?and do you think would be fair that a person that spent time on the game should have a limit because players that has les health will die?

how do you track people real fast? I mean once you hit t and you are tracking a player it seems like others can somehow track you real fast before you even have time to react. or are they using a joystick or the mouse? I have to keep hitting e, q, and o to find out where they are and by the time i find them they get me.

I will agree with you about documentation, but the problem with your rank system idea is that game is so tiny that it'd be pointless to put that in.  Also, their is no point in setting up a base because as soon as you do, thaht's when the hunger system kicks in.  Just go under the mountain, collect all the item grabbers, and go on a rampage.  It's what all the high experienced players do since item grabbers don't pull other item grabbers in, so everything just spawns under there.

Hi.I stay away from the game because of the following:1: So many things aren't explained in the documentation. Then, you just get killed by something strange you even don't know what is.2: There are no limites at all, so those who have the time to pick up things for 10 hours becomes close to undead. I simply don't have that much time for gaming. I do enjoy the game myself, but agree with some of what others have been saying here. However, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if people couldn't collect 83 K hp and use like 35 suicide bombs without getting hurt, only killing someone running from them because they don't have a chance. As it stands currently, the way suicide bombs work is that for low stats players, they're a suicide bomb. But for high stats players, they're an easy, too lazy to fight kill switch. Most of the other weapons are okay, because there is actually a chance of running from them, but not these. You just hear the noise, and you're dead, but the attacker doesn't suffer the loss of a single hp.Also I do agree about projectiles and robots. If not a cap, then something should be done to stop them from freezing the whole game up for everyone in a 40 tile radius.But guys, Blaze otherwise known as Alec Olson or whoever you guys are used to knowing him as on Redspot, stat
 ed that Redspot was for the hard core gamer, the ones willing to put in hours of work to collect those items. As for me? I don't really agree... since even though it's fun to set up a base and defend it for a while, the main point of this game is, still, to kill and be killed. And that, my friends, it will always be.

LOL. Post 810 had me laughing really hard. I mean, strategy in Redspot is like wanting to shape a snowball in the firy pits of hell. It just won't work. That's why I gave up on this game a long time ago. Seriously. If that game doesn't get any limits, it will probably never attract any new players. When the bases were added, I thought, things maybe would become different. But there was no change. No change at all.I mean, it is ok, if the developer is comfortable with the regular base of players. But in my eyes such a game should be fair for everyone. But at the moment, it is nothing but a constant hunt for items, and nothing more.

I am going to say this seriously. For the last time.This game needs caps. Caps on health. Caps on shield. Caps on projectile items. Caps on number of projectiles that can be launched. Caps on robots. Caps on number of robots that can be launched. Basically caps on every single item. If you don't know what that means, feel free to ask. I don't know if affects the server, but if it seriously affects computers when you have 20 robots coming after you. You can't launch anything to kill those. Same thing for projectiles. Everything happens to players who get on with a thousand health and nothing more on their hands.

That's not really going to work as you'd want to protect it, and people can just tap M and locate it.  It's also a good idea to not make a base, because while it's nice to have bitcoins and buy things, you also have to keep it protected, and I've notices that's when the hunger kicks in.  I'd like to see robots be able to trigger barricade bombs, as well as bombs causing other bombs to explode like the claymore/bullet bomb combination.

@299 no, server's up and working just fine. If you were banned you'd probably have gotten a notification from the admins and you'd have known it, so you don't have to worry about that either.I have a suggestion of my own here. Right now, it is possible to get threw barricade bombs by, ahem, I won't tell people who won't know but there's a definite way.  . Let's just say, I think it would be kind of cool if we could stack barricade bombs on top of each other. Not placing them in mid air, but on top of another barricade bomb or on top of the base itself.Also, temporary base cloaking would be nice. And just as another thought when making a base, it would be cool if you could bitcoin pay the black market to, um, per say, not 
 tell everyone it was just created, aka keep it on the down low.

I also agree with caps on items.  If you are in the US, you'll also have higher pings because the server is hosted in France. I get pings of 100-120 ms.  I also get lag spikes when first hearing or using certain items.  Not sure if it's caching them or what, but it'll be about 2 to 3 seconds of lag.

Hi I think that there should be a maxmum robots limit for a player. Because the server really lags when many robots come at once, and we can't kill those even if we have strong weapons because of the lag. Today I was launching grabbers and robots came and started shooting however I couldn't kill that robots after the grabber time was ended. the lag was serious enough to freeze a player. for this, I think that we should have some kind of robot limit to prevent that massive lag.

To put it bluntly, they're not admins, they're more reminiscent of young clueless sheltered children who have no business being a leader of a team, much less the administrators of a "balanced"... fps game. Predetermined, hasty judgement, you ask? People make judgements for the most part, myself included, based on evidence. I ha
 ve yet to be introduced to any "shut up and put your money where your mouth is" evidence prior to this posting. But now for some more of that hasty judgement: the reason this fps is so unbalanced at the moment, the reason that the rules are basically those that are never, found on mainstream fps games, is this: an inexperienced, unwise, knowledgeable in computer code but not the world, child, has coded this. And because it is by all means his project, he rallied together a group of like minded individuals who had similar judgement and knowledge and experience as him and they, without regard to any wiser guidance given to them by anyone, decide they'd run the show however they felt like it. And they can, there is no law against it. And despite what Sam tells us all? He is, indeed, implementing features and tweaks to provide himself at least a temporary leg up. You know those things he calls Easter eggs? Easter eggs guys, let me tell you. These are good and fun in a sin
 gle player game, but think about it. The developer and his beta team developed and tested this "Easter egg", therefore they already know about it as soon as it's in. We? The rest of the player base? We, do not. We have to figure it out or pressure the beta team or Sam to tell us, among criticism about us wining and criticizing Sam for just adding Easter eggs. Have you guys figured out to add a password to your teams yet? Have you figured out how the system works? Have you heard of a /teampass or /teamaddpass or /teampassadd command? I forget which of the 3 it is. I do know however that I didn't figure it out until a Skype chat with Sam.Again, more theory. But again, it's all I have proof to go on.But when this game is back down to its average 1 to 15 player base here in a little while, and then 1 to 10, don't be surprised. Don't be confused and don't wonder why. You already know. Meanwhile, here's hoping someone with common s

Wait did you mean destroyed or just removed as in it just vanished for no reason?  That just seems weird or a potential bug.      Also at Ironcross, he did say that the person chasing him was going away from him.  Considering the ranges of the weapon, at point or distance is far enough to go safely afk and rest or go to the bathroom?  What if I was still chasing someone who suddenly flew 200 feet with the bike while getting momentarily distracted with another player and re-engaging (as I haven't played I'm actually not sure how far the hoverbike goes).  I technically was still after the player who is now 300+ feet away.  Honestly this is why this  kind of format is now dumb, and is being quite evident over the last few weeks.

unfortunately, after you're banned there's not much you can do. sam and his admins haven't had much in regards of a reputation when it comes to talking to banned players to find out if the ban was valid. Basically, once you're banned, you're banned for good, or unless sam decides to reset the ban list. Or you change your ip and basically everything else the admins can find out about you when you log in.

Weird, I thought the policy before was that if you tried to afk while being actively chased that it was against the rules, but losing your pursuer or getting some massive distance was allowed before afking.  Though I see a major issue of this when one is not sure if they are being hunted down, or the other person who's getting closer to them is after them/someone else past them.  (I before the update used to chase a single target and ignored others who I ran by).      Further why I think these fps should stop with this freeroam crap and actually have set match structures. Wouldn't need admins to police that, anyone who logs off is out of the match and loses their score/gets a loss on their record.  (Okay except Swamp as that was designed for something else, cough).
