As for Jinpachi being a one time thing, I guess it was the beginning of what I like to call "the dark era of Tekken bosses". Back then the creators completely changed their philosophy concerning bosses, they became to powerful to be playable, and then probably as a result, they disappeared never to be seen again, at least canonically. I agree Ogre was not much better, but at least it was implied it could have an impact even after his death (cf. the new life form that Heihachi wanted to create in Tekken 4 and that we will never know). The same evil entity hasn't been explained at all since then. And you're right... Jinpachi only had that one fireball, and another one which was similar but only stunned instead of doing insane damage. All the extra moves Kazuya gains in that last fight are probably a result of him being able to control the devil gene and tap into more of its potential. In all the games with any indepth story, Kazuya is always shown to have some degree of control over it as opposed to Jin who seems to not have any direct control over when it manifests and what it does. In fact I wonder if Jinpachi had any lasers to begin with, from what I remember he only had that fireball that takes an entire second to charge up and does about half health in damage (except in the original Tekken 5). So I am assuming Kazuya has it in the last fight of the story. At least he seems to have more then it's typical devil beam. But I guess all of this was added for the sake of spectacle and may clearly have nothing to do with Jinpachi or the Mishima bloodline what so ever. And I never excluded that Jinpachi's appearance was due to a random evil entity that would not be as important as the devil gene anyway, I just thought maybe it could be more important than that. It's also amazing that Tekken 7's story mode has actual boss fights that have phases and multiple parts to them, where the NRS titles have pretty much the same standard fighting formula... for this reason, I think despite the bad plot and length which Namko could've expanded by taking a few aspects from NRS titles, I enjoyed more than Injustice 2... the gameplay is just varied in a way that you don't get to experience in the rest of the game, which I like.SPOILERS!!!s p o i l e r s< br />The final fight with Heihachi and Kazuya is one of the most epic boss fights in fighting game history. The plot itself is terribly written, with as many plot holes as there are in other fighting games like Injustice or MK. Definitely not all that it was made out to be. But on the good side of things, what little plot there is is presented quite well, and does provide for entertainment. the scenes and Japanese dialog are well done, where the dialog in the languages is probably questionable... seeing as Namko used translation companies that were already in Japan. but the sound design and the cinematics are definitely not bad, and some of the fights have some hype moments... shame the plot wasn't told in a better way! I would actually highly recommend dead or alive5 over tekken7. DOA is a much older game, but the sound is much better, movement is much faster, and you will just find this 3d fighter more playable than tekken in my honest opinion. Makes sense since they would have to manage between three platforms.@quasar, that is one of the things where mono games become a problem. The fact is though, at least in Tekken, jumping doesn't occur as much as it does in other games. But when it does, there's no way to tell, exactly, until after they've already landed. The best thing to do with playing fighting games like this is to simply do your best to keep track of your positioning, because given the way fighting games are designed, if you know where you are, that's pretty much 50% of the equation, though 3d fighting games make it harder because there is no way to distinguish things like side stepping and whether you are face up or face down on the ground, with your feet toward or away from your opponent. But that's a problem even in sould calibur where everythi ng is in stereo. Re: Tekken 7 official topic, guides, tips and so on Well, as it turns out, the story, though alright, is definitely nothing to be impressed with... I'm playing through it at the moment, 3 chapters in and it's ok, but nothing captivating. Not surprising, being that this is a fighting game... I felt this way towards both SF V and Injustice 2 as well. They're enjoyable for a playthrough or two, for sure, and Tekken 7's already one I'll definitely play again. And the best news... QTE's have both a big window for reaction and the same button sequences! If you check the Kazumi, Heihachi and Kazuya page, you already have a bit of a summary of the story. Granted, that's not as good as fully understanding everything while playing the game, but there is no alternative that I know of unfortunately. Re: Tekken 7 official topic, guides, tips and so on Changing languages hasn't been a thing since Tekken 4, because Tekken has always prided itself on having characters speak their native language. Some people find it annoying, I find it col to have usually uncommon languages for games in this one like arabic, Korean, etc. But if the English is any example, all the other language dubs are meh at best, as is par with most Japanese games where English written for a character's primary language sometimes sounds a little forced and unnatural. But I'm a bit of a voice acting nut when it comes to games, so... and thanks for the tip Aaron. Wonder which region one starts on... and whether it just defaults to yours? I even remember that the English voices made Jin sound older then he actually is. It seems to be regeion, language, agreements. Or, it might be region, agreements, langauge. It's oen of those two, and unfortunately I don't really know how to accept this stuff. Re: Tekken 7 official topic, guides, tips and so on Hi,There's two things I'll talk about here.Sorry to start this on a downer but it turns out my collector edition of the game won't be arriving on release day. There's some sort of delay in getting it ready for dispatch from Amazon. It just says preparing for dispatch, so it must mean they have the item ready to go. I noticed this yesterday and got an email this morning confirming the delay.Now, I have a little bit of an idea what happens when the game starts up, but I don't know the order of things. This is thanks to someone in australia who is a day ahead of all of me playing at 4 pm my time which is around 2 am their time, so it was very amusing watching for a while.Anyhow, when you start the game for the first time, it asks you to select your region for some reason. Then, there's two agreements you have to scroll through and accept, but I don't know how this works yet.Then I think after that, there's the main menu, music starts playing at that point. I don't really know the exact order acccept story, online, then offline. In offline, so two down then x on ps4 or a on xbox one, you have arcade as the first option, then treasure battle. I don't know what the option is after treasure battle.I also don't know what happens if you click story.
