Re: Websites with games for the blind

FWIW I said Itch.io was reputableCaveat:That depends ENTIRELY on the developer and people behind each game as to whether a) it's decently good across the board and b) if it's accessielb and c) if it's worth your time downloading and playing considering the first two.General rule of thumb.once againand this goes for anything onlinef you think it sounds great, do your research about it and don't believe blogs or FB pages about it...spend a good while doing research on anything that seems too good to be true. You can't ever be too cautious when it comes to free game sites. They are notorious for scams and infecting your system, which is why I'm saying be VERY VERY careful with such sitesand don't...ever.link straight to them either, or rather take out the link formatting if you do.

Re: Websites with games for the blind

1. I already said in my lastt post itch.io is reputable and home to a lot of indie gamesI wasn't 'bashing' you. I was saying the site you had linked to is a scam, because it seems too good to be true, it appears to be a scam. Sites like that are so, SO common, you need to (as a whole) do your research on  anything that seems too good to be true. Again:IF it seems too good to be true it usually is. And in this case that first site screams scam and shady shady site to me.

Re: Websites with games for the blind

I love how you can bash me, but can't answer one of my questions. lolI never said the games were free, there's a $9.99 a month member ship fee if you didn't read my post correctly. Go read it again, and maybe you'll comprehend it a little better.I got a blind lengend, and played it. There's a time limit on the game, and then you need to start a one week trial, or pay $9.99 a month. And, I'll ask again, what about the second link in my post? If there are blind friendly games on that site, what are they? How can  I get them?

Re: Websites with games for the blind

You can however trust itch.io but you have to do some digging.but point still remainsGoogle sites and if a site's too good to be true it probably is, with few exceptions...sites purporting free full games/software downloads are 99% of the time, a scam

Re: Websites with games for the blind

Do you guys have any common sense these days? God, what has he world come to... you find a site that says you can play an audiogame that's paid for free online, but hey, wait! You have to download a program to play it! A program, made by this website! Look at the name -- iwin.net! Does that sound legit to you? Come on, guys -- use your brains for once instead of letting your desires overtake you like that! I just visited it... guess what? It says 'play thousands of games for free'. Look at the last too words there -- 'for free'. Not 'you have to pay to play games that are paid', no, just 'for free'. God... what has this world come to...Look, I'm sorry for the rant, but seriously, use the brains you were given and use that common sense you have.

Re: Websites with games for the blind

That seems like a scam site to me...you may wanna edit out the link and google any such sites and do your research.FWIW that site screams scam to me. I get wanting to save money but...do your research and don't just jump on the first site promoting free games...Did the ABL devs give permission for their game to even be on that site in the first place?
