Hi,Personally I'd rather use gnome classic, but that's just me I guess. Unity is certainly a nice desktop... If you're sighted. It certainly has a lot of issues, especially where it comes to the dash and the launcher. As for the OS its self, its not bad at all.Talking about accessible FTP clients, I thought file zilla was cross platform?URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177340#p177340

Hmmm. Interesting.I wonder what happens when ya hit the down arrow after typing something, what does orca say?As for an FTP client, ya may want to check out the CLI FTP client  called: yafc:http://www.yafc-ftp.com/URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177339#p177339

It's not perfect but, it's certainly usable. It's kind of hard to find certain system utilitys like the disc utility tool, and the ftp client. From what i have read, orca doesn't read the search results when you type in the name of a program in the unity dash. Other than that, it's stable, and fast enough for me.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177323#p177323

Arq, what's your opinion about unity, Ubuntu's desktop?I'm not asking  this questions from Ubuntu fanboys, because they are like:"It's fast, beautiful, slick and awesome!"But since I assume it's your first experience on unity on Ubuntu 14.4,  what's your idea about it?URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177312#p177312

linux users, try ubuntu 14.0.4 lts, it's quite stable

Hey guys. I have been quite happily using ubuntu 14.04 for a couple of days now, and honestly so far, it's been one of the most stable linux experiences i have had. Once i got voxin installed, things felt comfortable. Unity isn't that bad, and i think they have fixed about 90 percent of the firefox accessibility issues. It seems light enough on resources for this older machine, so i'm quite happy with it for the long term. I guess that is the idea with an LTS release like this after all, stability. I still might try arch in a virtual machine to get more comfortable with using the tourmanal. I think linux has come a long way with hardware support, as i didn't need to install any proprietary drivers this time around. If things keep going well like this, i swear i might ditch windows completley. I just need to find an accessible FTP client, and look in to server side accessibility. Just thought i'd share my pleasant experience.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177268#p177268
